No, that's fine. It's a new town and people you met on the internet, I understand. I'll talk to my roommate when I get up to the house on Friday and see if we can get anything sorted out for the next week or so. (:

I need to get my classes all settled, as well. So. I'll wait, talk to my roommate, and let you know if/when we can get together. (:
The restaurant I'm thinking of going to is off of 70, I think? I'm not sure exactly where it is, but I'll find out and let you know. They have a variety of food from burgers to gyros, so. There should be something for everybody to eat!

I've only just started my first week. ^^; Yesterday was my first day of class and it was a nightmare. My VisComm class is going to suck so many bawls.
I don't know when we're going to get a chance to come down to Columbia again [we were there this past weekend for my roommate's birthday] since she's going out of town for a football game [St. Louis] and I'm starting to get weighted down by homework. Uhm.
Maybe we should pick a long weekend in advance so that we can be ready for it ahead of time?

..... well.... the nearest holiday I can think of is labor day..... if not that day......
hmmm..... confused lets see..... perhaps you could list the holidays you have available... and then if we could visit sooner... on a weekend... either is fine w/ me.....
I don't want to list holidays.... that you'll want to spend w/ family.....
I know that if my mom likes you both that... if you wanted to you could..... nvm sweatdrop redface xd I don't know if I'd be assuming anything.....
Anyways... I do know of this nice greek restaurant near the college... so there's an idea.....
eek ohhhhh and there is a tea shop/ tea merchant near the school too n_n.
sweatdrop Don't mind me...... hyper/exhasted.... I know.. odd..... but some how I pull that off. whee

Which restaurant is it? ^^ George's? And I will be in Columbia this weekend, but for an errand and to housesit for my roommate's family. They have a dog that they didn't want to leave all day while they go to St. Louis, and I need to get my camera repaired [d'oh].
Is there any time later in the semester we might get together? This weekend would be ideal, except thaaaaat ... I don't know my way around the city and won't have a car. Also, I'd be by myself which is a bit awkward [and why your stepmom coming is a perfect idea anyway]. Uhm. Hrm. I have no idea what to do. XD;
[and I'm still shocked that this hasn't moved to the events subforum yet, haha]

The Greek place. ^^ Most of them in town are owned by various members of the same family, and George's has been around for ages.

I talked to them and we have a few options.... if you can't get a ride we can meet at a restaurant you can easily get to.... if you can get a ride... we can go to the one near the school on broadway..... I'll ask what it's called, and if this weekend is not good we'll just find a better time..... annny ways.....
My name is Bamby/Brianna.........n_n; long story......... you already know where I'm going to school..... My fav music is japanese rock.... and most Irish music... my fav color is emerald.... I have dark brown/curly hair that is midback in length...... rather pale (burn easily).... slightly chubby.... I'd say fat but I'd get yelled at sweatdrop xd .... I am now a classics major.... Greek... yay sweatdrop (switched majors) and if it seems like my family is a bit too controlling..... also long story....
if you'd like to tell me a bit more about yourself... great smile .. if not... that's okay n_n.

It turns out that in addition to my camera repairs and homework this weekend that I have to do some dog sitting [he's sick and they don't want him left alone for more than an hour at a time]. ^^; So it looks like meeting up is going to be out of the question for a while, yet. Uhm. Yeah. I should be down in Columbia several more times over the course of the next month or so, though--so I'm pretty sure we'll get it figured out. We just need to try and get a week SET so that I can make sure nothing else comes up to get in the way, y'know? This weekend, with the football game, the camera shop, the dog, and the pile of chem homework awaiting me, it just isn't looking promising.
I do know where the restaurant on Broadway is, though [if it's the one I'm thinking of anyway]. There are some good ones down there, including the Coliseum Bistro [not too pricey and really good appetizers; kind of a bar/pub atmosphere, but good for lunch or afternoon snacks].
So about me, huh? Ahhhh. Well.
I go by ... uhm ... a lot of names [there are many Kathryns, Katherines, Catherines, Caitlins, Katelyns and etc. in the world, so it depends on how many are present as to which name I use...eh]. The most common one is Kate, though. Pleased to make your aquaintance. (:
I'm originally from St. Louis, but I moved to Houston, Texas when I was about 13. I came back to Missouri for school a few years ago and just kind of simplified it to "I'm from Texas" since my parents are there and I go back to stay with them during long breaks.
I'm a visual communication [graphic design] major going into my fourth [but sadly not final year. My Spanish minor has put me back a semester so I won't be done until next December. As for finding me, that should be easy enough--I'll probably be one of the few people with hair longer than yours, it's all the way down to my waist. It was at my hips, but I had a trim a couple weeks back to clean up split ends. ;3
