Kyou nodded, from what he had read about angels they were pretty much indestructable unless of course they chose to die. It certainly explained how Sereph had managed to survive for so long in there.
"Well, if you need a place to stay I can see about finding a room for you here. And if they're aren't any empty ones we can find somewhere in the village, and there's always my floor if you're desperate." he smiled nervously. Did angels even need to sleep? He really wasn't sure what to do in this kind of situation.

Sereph shook his head again,
"Really Kyou... its fine, absoloutely fine.. you have done more than enough for me by freeing me again." He stated, nodding slowly once, his eyes drifting back to the young man in front of him.
"I do not really require sleep, nor any place to stay, I will be fine on my own now.." He shifted his wings again, they creaked slightly as the mis-healed bones grated against one another, but he seemed to pay them no mind.
Around the base of one of them a legnth of thick rope still dangled, reaching the small of the angels back.
"I wouldnt want to bother you any further."

Kyou noticed the rope a let out a small gasp. The rope had once been tied around his wing but by the looks of it, it had rubbed away most of the flesh beneath it and the wound had healed around it, it would be very painful to remove but it could become infected if he left it. He felt his head ache with a dull pain, reminding him of his own injury. His horns had ceased to be so sensitive as the living tissue in them had deteriorated and his hair had grown almost two or three inches since he cut it off. He still had problems keeping his balance than before, the whole effect was rather strange.
"It's no bother. You've obviously been injured in the past, and it won't go away if you don't let them heal properly." he said, reaching for the angel's wing.

The angel blinked slightly, the seelie was was kinder than he had given him credit for.. and seemed absoloutely adament that he wanted to help him.
"Kyou.." he said quietly, his eyes on the young man again, his silvery dredlocks still, laying against his neck and shoulders.
"Do you really want to help a murderer...?" He had to ask. There was part of him that wanted to let the young man help him.. and there was part of him that wanted to look straight into his mind and see why he was suffering so...
"Are you sure you feel that I am worthy of your help..?"

Kyou blinked at the taller angel. Could it be true, had he really murdered someone. He had learned through many of the Abbey's visitors that causing the death of another was not as simple as the scriptures had specified. While some were fairly adament that the taking of another life was unforgivable, he had found himself listening to the confessions of the wounded and dying when the war had forced the Abbey to act as a military hospital. Soldier upon soldier had told him their stories and everyone of them had comitted murder in the eyes of the Gods. But they had no choice, they had to kill in order to survive. He himself had attempted to take his own life, was that considered murder as well?
"Every creature on this earth is worthy of compassion, Sereph." he said looking rather troubled "I know next to nothing about you so it's not my place to judge. But you hardly seem capable of killing in cold blood, I don't know."

Sereph lookd at the young fae again, his eyebrows lifting slowly in his surprise at the young mans compassionate responce, it was more than he was expecting in all honesty... more than he had been given when the problem had first been discovered.
"I was supposed to look after somone." he stated quietly, lookinf down a the floor as he spoke.
"She... she didnt want to be alive any longer, and I was supposed to make sure that she did... but.. one night she... she stoppe me following her.." his wing shifted an the rope that was hanging from it shook slightly...
"She threw herself to down off of a cliff to her death.. I couldnt stop her.." He sigehd quietly.
"I.. I failed.. I was suposed to give up my life to enable the family to have a new child. But I let them lock me away.. I.. I saved myself.. I was a horrible coward..." He shook his head slowly...
"A guardian angel should never think of himself..my crime was unforgivable.."

Kyou stared up at the taller angel, his work on his injured wing paused momentarily. In a strange way Sereph's story reminded him somewhat of his own.
"Well if she restrained you like this then there was truly nothing you could have done to prevent her death." he said sympathetically. "And as for running away. Well this may sound a little stupid, you being an angel and all, but that doesn't make you a coward it just makes you human. And if her family had an ounce the humanity that you have then they should have been able to forgive you." he said as he quickly cast some painkilling spells over the angel's injured wing. He could hardly judge Sereph for running away, because he had been guilty of the same thing.

Sereph stayed quiet for a time after that, simply letting the young man work on his wing... it was a far kinder reception than he had anticipated finding when he was finally freed from his earthly prison.
He haddnt expected anyone to offer him such care, or even attempt this sort of level of undertsanding of him, he really hadnt.
He shook his head slightly, eventually allowing his attention to focus back on the young man, well, fae he had here.
"You're too kind Kyou." He stated, a small smile lifting his sad grey eyes.
"It was a great blessing that I was found by you.. I couldnt not have wished for a kinder saviour.." He smiled. Somone didnt blame him.. somone didnt hate him for what had happened... somone had some form of sympathy for him... it was more that he could have hoped for..
"I wish... I wish there was some way I could repay your kindness..."

Kyou smiled once more as he carefully removed the rope that was attached so cruelly to the base of the wing. He did not need surgical instruments and while drugs helped with some things he could do without them as well most of the time. The young fae had spend years studying healing magic and while he was nowhere near as good as say, the unicorns, he knew exactly how to deal with accidents and injuries, although infections still gave him trouble. the right application of magical engergy and the raw flesh was already looking less red.
"That's very nice of you, Sereph." he said quietly "But I doubt there's anything you could do for me at the moment."

Sereph let the young man work,
"Well, perhapse it would help you to speak of whatever it is ithat is ailing you." he stated quietly, his eyes directed up a the clear sky again, speaking almost as if he wasnt really thinking.
"Because, when you hold things that are sour, bitter and painful on the inside for too long it starts to become harder and harder to get rid of them when you suddenly find a time when you might actually wish them gone..." he pulled his gaze down again directing it back over his shoulder.
"You have been willing to forigive my past discression, have you not...?" he asked.
If the answer was yes, then there may yet be somthing that he could do for this young man... but he would have to convince him to openup to him yet, that was always the hardest bit about selecting your own charge. There were very few people who were willing to instantly open up to a complete stranger. And though angels were somwhat adept at making people feel relaxed it wasnt a surefire skill, some people were just too closed off, he hoped that Kyou Olden wasnt one of them.

Kyou hesitated. Of course the angel would have sensed that he had something weighing upon his mind, but he had spent so much time in the last month ignoring his problems that the idea of thinking about them again seemed quite nervewracking.

When he had left the clinic at Dr Miyagi's insistence he had withdrawn from normal life and buried himself into his studies. No doubt his red haired mentor had wanted him to see the world and meet new people but he just wasn't confident enough. Now that he was being forced to think about it again, he really did feel worthless.

"Well, my problems are hardly important." he said shakily "I would only bore you with them." He couldn't bring himself to tell the angel about how he had lapsed, allowed himself to fall in love only to have it thrown back in his face and about the 'accident' that had follwed, or the accidents that had happened since then which not even Dr Miyagi knew about.

The angel pursed his lips thoughtfully, okay.. so this was going to be a diffucult one... life was never easy though, so he should have acceped it in all honesty..
Carefully he urned around, moving a hand to find Kyou's shoulder, giving it the gentlest squeeze.
"I think you will find me surprisingly difficult to bore.." he said gently, his hand still lingering on the young mans shoulder.
"And, I think you will also find, that there are some instances where problems can seem less horrific if you only let them go.." he leant down slightly, trying to look into Kyou's eyes, he knew he would see hurt in them, he was attuned to look for it, it was, after all, his lot to look after those who needed it, and it seemed to him at least that this young man needed some care very badly.
He had to get him to admit it though...
"Kyou... you can talk to me..."

Kyou carefully avoided the angel's gaze and suddenly found the gravel beneath his feet very interesting. A part of him felt too ashamed to say anything but that tiny inner voice he had was telling him that out of all the poeple in this world, Sereph was the best one to talk to. He couldn't help but feel slightly warm inside at the thought that someone wanted to listen to him. Dr Miyagi had listened to him, but it was sanitised and clinical, like he was listing symptoms of a disease. And Hyde had listened to him, but in retrospect he was probably more preoccupied with his own problems.

"Well, the short version is that I lost someone very special to me, nowhere near as tragically as you did, but I thought I was in love with this person and it seems those feelings weren't returned." he sighed and stared at some obscure spot at the other end of the courtyard. "But this isn't really a good place to discuss those sorts of things. Being here only reminds of going to confession, and those things never helped me much."

Sereph carefully moved his arm to curl it properly around the younger mans shoulders.
"Where would you feel more comfortable..?" he asked quietly, his fingers brushing lightly over the fabric of the young mans shirt as he held him in the strange haf hug.
"And.. before you say amything more.. never, Kyou.. never think your problems are outweight by somone elses.. for to each individual their own problems are always as big as mountains, and must always be taken with the same amount of care and understanding.. everything from a bump on a three year olds knee to the loss of somone you care deeply for is somthing huge for each indivisual to learn to over come.." He smiled gently at the young Seelie fae.
"Now.. where shall we go..? I feel the need to try and lighten your heart... if you will let me of course..?"

Kyou shrugged a little, he really hadn't thought that far ahead. Other than his temporary room here and his room at the clinic, he didn't have anywhere to go. He felt the urge to venture out into the unknown for once. To not stay where it was safe.

"We could go down to the vilage?" he suggested, I've only been there once or twice but it looked nice. And the sea's quite near here. I keep meaning to go but I never do."
