Nix flicked her tail, watched him, a frown almost graced her because she thought he would not turn back to face her, though soon enough he had, and she gave him a smile, closed her eyes for a moment then let them settle on him once more, Ushu was a one of a kind lion and friend, that was for sure.
As he spoke, she stifled a giggle, did she really do that to him, or was he paying her? Ushu was so cute, so charming, he couldn't be lying.
"Well then my fine sir I do apologize if my actions have caused you any trouble, I did not mean to have you feel like a cub when you are truly a charming gentleman," she said with a smile.

The tan male chuckled as he settled back to sit on his haunches, his gaze soft. It felt better now that he had confessed his trouble to her. There was nothing to hide, so he didn't need to anymore.
"That's alright, Nix. Strangely, I find it quite worth the embarrassment and angst just to spend time with you. Sure, I might hope to have better control of myself, but if I had to choose, I'd choose to be a cub just to talk with you for a while." He smiled charmingly, though it had lost the 'lady's man' sort of quailty he'd picked up over time. He felt shy again, when she called him a gentleman. "I really do try to be that for you, Nix. A fine lady like yourself deserves good company, so I struggle to provide it for you."

Nix giggled and sat back, watching him, her blue hues settled on his tan form, Ushu was one of a kind, surely he was. "You're too kind and sweet Ushu," giving her compliments and such in that type of manner? Though she had to admit to herself, she enjoyed it, many a time she met males that seemed to get rather close rather quickly and left out the friendliness in between, though Ushu seemed different, apart from the other males, which was a glorious thing indeed.
"You don't have to try for me Ushu, to me you are what you are without putting on an act, you never have to pretend to be somehting you do not wish to be or aren't around me, you're a friend for who you are inside," she said with a nod, it was mushy, almost like somehting a mother would say to a son, but it was true.
"Be who you are Ushu, who you are, not what someone else might want."

Ushu laughed and shook his head, fluffy brown mane dancing on his neck. "That's just it, Nix... I don't know who I am, or what I really want, you see? So why shouldn't I try to be a gentleman around you?"
He shook his head as he rose to his paws again, restless with this type of talk. It just wasn't his style, to get all mushy and stuff, exploring his feelings and whatnot. He flicked his tail to dismiss the nerves and circled around her, coming back to stand at her side. "I think I'll figure it out eventually, I guess... just don't know right now." A thoughtful look came over his face, and he studied Nix with a little frown.
"That's not... strange is it?" He said softly, trying to not sound worried by it. "I mean... everyone feels like that, don't they? Right?"

Nix watched him and her ears dropped back slightly, she had made him upset, she should have kept her mouth shut, she didn't want Ushu to be upset with her, and now she felt terrible. "Not knowing is okay," she said with a slight nod of her head, white mane of her fur falling somewhat over her eyes.
She watched him intently, why did he seem so worried?
"No, not at all, for a while I was the same Ushu, things in lives can do that to one, its a strange feeling sometimes, though once you feel whole, its great." She remembered those times of loneliness, feeling almost abandoned, lost, but now she was regainging everything she thought had been lost to the passing wind.

Ushukuru's face cleared at her agreement, and a smile eased onto his face.
"I'm glad you think so, Nix. Its just that... no one here seems to think the same way as me. The Pridelands are such a wonderful place... no one else seems to be as restless as I am. Everyone is happy just living day to day, raising families and being with the other pridemembers." He sighed, rolling his shoulders. "I just don't feel like that. I do love my home, but sometimes it just feels so... vast and endless. Like... nothing every changes, no one new comes for me to meet. Every thing stays the same and everyone seems perfectly happy with that."
He sighed as he shrugged again, his eyes moving idly down her body from curling horns to bi-colored tail. "Sometimes I think you are the only spark of true life in all this vast fluffy warmth... You come and go, sometimes I see you and sometimes I don't..." A sudden urge took him and he stepped close, searching out her eyes. He'd long ago forgotten that she was a goddess, a powerful and ancient being. To him, he was just Nix, a pretty lioness friend. "What's it like outside, Nix? What's it like, to travel anywhere the whim takes you? Is it scary? Interesting, fascinating? You think I could... find what I'm missing, out there?"

Nix giggled softly pressing a paw to her mouth to tr and stifle hims, she watched him intently and smiled, Ushu was definately one of a kind and unique, he seemed so interested in what she was able to do, so interested, but then again, she was very fond of that in him. In a manner she had seen him grow older become hte lion he is now, and what a fine lion he was indeed.
"Out there its different, you go where you feel as if you are called, though its scary as well, more scary when alone I find it. I don't like being alone in the dark when you can't see an inch before your nose," she said with a nod, things were different out there.
"You might Ushu, though you never know, you can just keep searching if you do wish to find a purpose, your own purpose just for you to have."

Ushu sighed as he listened to her, dropping his eyes before he looked out again over the Savannah. For a moment, he wondered about the world out there as he listened to her words.
"I suppose it might be frightening, to be all alone in a strange place. But... what could harm us, huh? Two big, healthy lions... we could even take on a pack of hyenas all by ourselves, I think. Or, at least discourage them." He mused. "I already go where I want to go, though I guess its always inside the Pridelands. I've never been even one step outside them. I guess that's my problem though... I keep looking for something here, and I havn't found it though I've covered every inch. Must mean I'm just looking in the wrong place."
He glanced back at her as he smiled, shifting on four paws. After a moment, he lifted one and rubbed a toe into the dirt, tracing idle patterns in it.

Nix watched him and extended a wing out, a spark flying off of it before she touched it under his chin lightly to have him not stare at the ground, smiling she tiled her head at him, blue eyes focused. "Then don't give up, you'll find it somewhere, someday," she said with a nod, pulling her win back, taking a step.
Time was growing short, and her body began to feel exhausted, she didn't want her control of the sparks to fade, endanger Ushu's being, so she wondered if she should venture off just yet so that she could rest and dream.

Ushu felt a zing go through his when Nix touched her feathers to his chin, and he raised his head to find her with his eyes. A smile crept over his features, and on a whim, he nipped at her wing. When she pulled back, he felt a single feather come off in his teeth and he started in suprise, opening his jaws to let it fall to the groud.
As the golden lion sat back, he picked the feather up lightly with his paw, studying the way the black melted into the white, and the way he could almost feel tingle radiating from where he held it. "I know I will Nix... I'm not going to give up on that. I'm... not happy here anymore, and I do want to be happy." After a moment, he held the feather out to her. "Um... sorry, this fell from your wing." He said in a little embarrassment. He hoped it hadn't hurt...

Nix giggled at him and watched him with a sincere smile upon her maw, "You'll find your place to be happy someday, someday is always to be hopeful for. My sister and I, we will have a home someday, someplace nice. Maybe even here so nice here, and you're here," Nix said with a smile, she saw the feather that had fallen from her wing, and she pushed a paw at him and smiled.
"Keep it Ushu, a gift, and forever be hopeful and look towards the happiness the future can hold," Nix stood, and stepped closer to him, rubbing her cheek against his with a purr in your throat, "I'll be back here someday maybe even sooner, I'll be back to see you," she stepped back and smiled at him.
Then in one instant she took wing, and glanced down at Ushu from the clouds and smiled.
Ushu was so special.
She hoped his future would be brighter, sooner.

The golden lion held the feather a little tighter once he had permission to keep it. Now that he thought of it... it would make a nice little bit to put in his mane, striking against the soft brown.
He was studying it with that thought when he felt another zing go through him, startled as she rubbed cheek to cheek with him. In an instant, he was a bumbling cub again, blushing deep red under his fur as his face burned. He could do little more than gape as she took wing, all power and grace as only a goddess could be.
Ushu was as embarrassed as he'd ever been, yet he still felt strangely light, as though his head wasn't quite attached to his body. Was this how other males felt when they flirted with a pretty lioness? If so, he was surprised he didn't see more of them running into trees or falling over pebbles in their paths... he felt like he could walk off a cliff right now and never know till he hit bottom.
Feather in paw, he watched till she was out of sight, and for a good deal longer after that.
