"We're home," Embamba whispered in answer to her daughter's question before Mpenzi could. The name this female had said was one she'd never thought to hear in reference to a living person again, but the shock of that hadn't yet settled in. In this moment, only relief flooded into her body and caused tears to spring to her eyes.

Even the female before them was as familiar as the land around them. "We're home," She repeated herself, loudly enough this time for them all to hear, and hear, as well, the tinge of tears in her voice. Stepping forward, Embamba peered closely at Mpenzi. For so long the lioness had thought that she'd remembered every face her home had offered, but this one...

"Jipima?"
She questioned, confusion in her voice. This didn't quite look like her and yet another name wouldn't come. Beyond that, why would Jipima have had one of Warithi's sons have been with her?

With a perplexed expression cast onto his face, Ndege had made his way towards the group of individuals. His eyes had been filled with both confusion and wary caution; the closer he found himself to the others, the more he found himself encircled with a certain lack of knowledge over the situation.

Until Embamba's words had grown loud enough for even he himself to hear. Gradually, he had come to a stop a few steps behind her. His eyes had locked onto the strange figure that had suddenly joined their numbers - one he thought he may have recognized. The name had proven to be elusive, and thus he had stood with his head tilted and his legs in the position of an abrupt stop.

Home. They were ... Home? Suddenly, Ndege had managed to make sense of the overwhelming joy he had felt within his heart just moments prior to having found everyone once again. Everything had molded together into a clear, concise picture - and it was a masterpiece worthy of being coveted. The idea of home. The beauty of it all. The nostalgia to enter his mind and being. It was bewildering. As he stood in his haphazard position, gawking loosely at everyone present in the area, he felt a possessive need to express his own joy. The misfortune was that he had not the slightest clue where he was to begin with such an expression. Rather than smiling, or crying, or roaring pleasurefully, he had remained situated. The confusion had faded away to astonishment.

However, being the way he had always shown himself to be, Ndege had been incapable of remaining in such a position for long. He had lowered his head somewhat, the shaggy golden main ruffling with the motion as he strode forward. The disbelief in his eyes had progressed to his face, and, without processing of further information, he had fallen onto his stomach at Embamba's side, continuously looking at Mpenzi as if analyzing and trying to place the familiarity further.

"We're home? Home." He had murmured gently. His eyes had seemed to bug from his face. Hesitantly, he had looked at his family; he had looked at those he had been with for so long. A certain feeling towards them had generated within him. Mixed emotions. Care. Closeness. It seemed as if ages had gone on - ages!

Meekly, Ndege had began rising to his feet once again. A loud, tired breath of relief had been sent into the world as he had raised his head to look high. A silent mouth motion had been made - 'thank you'.

(( I waited three days, I'm gonna post to keep this movin' along. People who haven't posted yet can post on their next-turn or whenever they want before their next turn should they stumble in here. I also apologize to people who were waiting on someone else to post.))

Jipima?

Mpenzi seemed to be in shock of hearing someone else say that name out loud, looking over the lioness who had spoken it with a sort of curiousity that she couldn't just bottle up and stick to one side until proper introductions had been made. Or even until her son had returned with her love.

"Barazahi. That's a beautiful name, young-one." she looked over the blue lioness with a sort of interested face, not a feigned level of such, either, before smiling. "You can't be older than my own eldest." she preened approvingly, before looking back to Embamba.

"I am not Jipima. The Jipima you speak of was my mother. I am Mpenzi." she introduced, looking over this lioness again, recognizing her from somewhere. She had to be one whom had seen her mother, despite the time it had been. "And you...... you are kin of Warithi and kin of the boy who just went running to find his father."

Nzigu practically crashed into his father before rolling backwards from the contact, shaking his fur out before he approached the Akida again, with less fire on his tail this time.

"Dad! Mom wants to talk to you!" he explained, tail swishing back and forth with a sort of frown on his face. He crinkled his nose a bit before continuing on. "Some lions are out in the lands. I -think- one of them called her 'Jipima' or something like that. She seems to know them. But Mommy wants you and won't tell me what's going on!"

Home? This was home? Angusho looked around again, taking in the sights of the land that he barely remembered. And yet everything seemed so familiar, so friendly. Embamba was right, they were finally back where they belonged.

"This is home." He barely believed it, but he was sure that it was true. There were no words to describe his feelings right now. He knew that his cubs would grow up in their true homeland, safe and happy. They would not have to struggle and wander every day in a feeble attempt to get their bearings.

Still in shock, he smiled feebly at Mpenzi, "Thank you." He breathed, though he wasn't entirely sure why he was thanking her. "Thank you, thank you..."

Barazahi beamed with pride as the female liked her name. Of course, it was only natural. A beautiful name for a beautiful lioness.

However, at all these encouraging words, she was growing quite excited. "We're home?!" She asked, louder than she had needed and rising to her feet. She smiled from ear to ear, excited to even be saying that word. This meant everything was going right, she'd be able to have her cubs grow up in a place where they would never leave, never have to worry about rogues attacking... She always pictured home, though she never had memory of it, as a paradise... Just as her namesake. "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's go!" She said excitedly, mind more willing to move than her body.

Nzigu's fervour was hard to observe without catching a litttle of the enthusiasm. The tidings he brought were certainly hopeful! Jipima was a name few would know. Few indeed, still living.
An idea ocurred- friends long since having left the lands. Warithi had, in truth, given up hope of their return. Perhaps too soon?
With a hopeful grin and a quick step, the Akida set off in the direction Nzigu had come sprinting from, casting a last remark over his shoulder at both his son and the black and purple male he had watched grow up.
"Follow me."

Mtume, for his share of this message, simply cocked his head questioningly, then padded after the older male.
Whatever was happening, it certainly was interesting.

Not Jipima? Embamba's eyebrows rose even as their mate joined them. But there it was, the mention of Warithi. For now the idea that Warithi was alive and had children was a joy, thought it would not be in the following months, and Embamba's maw spread in a great grin. "Indeed.. i am.." She almost whispered, body trembling with joy despite her usual weakness. The female would undoubtedly pay for such excitement later, but for now she was home and that was there was to be concerned for.

She ran her head against Ndege's mane as he neared her, spreading her joy to her beloved mate before beginning once more to approach this female she only vaguely recognized. "Mpenzi... I.. I am Embamba, and this is my mate, Ndege, our daughters Baharazi and ... and..." Her ruby eyes had fastened on an approaching figure rather than that of her daughter.

He was far bigger than she remembered, but there was no doubt in her mind that the blood red mane could belong to no other. Caught up in the joy of being home again--it really was almost like a dream, and a part of her feared she'd wake up far from this place before long--the female took to paw again, quickly closing the distance between them to rub her face and side against Warithi's in an exuberant greeting. "Cousin!" Her voice almost broke with unshed tears, "You lived!" A strange greeting to those who, perhaps, had no idea of what had passed in these lands, but to her it made perfect sense--no one had expected it, after all.

This was, perhaps, a more exuberant greeting than he had expecting, but with his own joy bursting forth at seeing old faces he had long given up hope for, Warithi's grin spread yet wider across his face.
"And you are home!"
The sight of new faces then broke in, though perhaps, tinged with a little familiarity?
"And what news, cousin? What has happened? More joy than sorrow, I see, but what news?"

For himself, the Akida craved stories of the outside, a world he had never known. For his pride, the security of the old. And for the returned, the security of home.

"Little news, i'm afraid," Embamba shook her head and smiled, "But yes, more joy than sorrows. We bring our own litter with us, a new mate for one Msaka and... there's another litter on the way from one of my daughters." The word "grandmother" was still one that wouldn't come easily to Embamba's lips. Still, she grinned about it for indeed she was happy and nothing would bring that down. "The plague hit other prides as well, we found, if you would call that news. Many were devastated as we were. They seem to be putting themselves back together in due order, however."

Barazahi turned her head from one to the other, confused at all of the excitement. While she knew this was home, she... was quite sure it didn't feel entirely like home. All of the lions who approached were strangers to her, but if mom knew them, then they would certainly be friends in the future.

At Embamba's mention of a cousin, Raza put the pieces together. This red-maned lion must be the king, then. Barazahi smiled and allowed her mother to do the greetings, prepared to give a polite nod if needed. She blushed beneath her blue fur at the mention of her litter, but it was entirely covered by the odd color.
