Resting on his back where he had 'fallen', Juhudi gave a great stretch as the gentle sun warmed his exposed belly, tail flicking lazily. Now he watched his daughters, smiling lightly at their antics, purring lightly though his gaze was wary, knowing all too well how quickly a simple game could turn into a fight.
His children were all so different, each pursuing their own games and adventures, often more interested in distractions more than their own siblings. He remembered his two oldest as cubs, what may have seemed a long time to them, but was all too short for him. It seemed most of their time together had been spent fighting, an exasperating trait though now Juhudi found he missed it.
It seemed his youngest children were too growing faster than he was prepared for, the days of playful youth slipping through his paws like nothing more than wisps of air. It was days like these that he would always cherish, the time when his children longed for his company, and perhaps today, time could go by a little slower.
