Rakhsh nodded.

"I am indeed very happy with my life, and proud of the trust that the gods have in me."

When she starting talking about how simple and unexciting her life was, he frowned a bit. He really didn't want her to compare her life to his, and decide which one was better. She sounded slightly embarassed as she said she had a simple life.

"The only thing that makes one's life impressive is how they live it. Think how you would view my story differently if I was afraid to accept the job to carry on the legend, or if I was corrupt and decided to use this power for evil purposes. Then it would not be so impressive, right? And in all truth, I find your life to be impressive as well."

Indeed, when she has told him she had children, his ears perked up, and he smiled warmly again.

"I had no idea you were old enough to have had children. You don't seem to be of the motherly age. But that doesn't mean that you are uncapable. On the contrary, it seems you have done a wonderful job in raising your children. You life is impressive, Tequila, even if you don't see it that way."

It was true that he was impressed by what she had told him about her life. He had no children of his own, but hoped one day to have some. He loved children, and longed for the experience of raising them from infanthood and seeing them grow into a fully grown adult who can then live on its own. And knowing that Tequila had experienced that, he had gained all new respect for her.

She looked down for a moment, only because her face was very flushed into a warm color. "Well, that is very gentlemanly of you to say, thank you." Goodness, she hadn't seen such good manners.. ever! Raksh really was something, though he brought up a good point. It really was strange for her to compare herself to others, and she needed to refrain from doing it.

Oh my, even calling her young? She really was in heaven at the moment!

"Thank you again. Children are such a wonderful thing to have in life. I couldn't have asked for it any other way.." Or at least, if the 'so called mate' of the past was around. Ah well, her children didn't mind very much that they didn't have a father, they grew up quick enough to look past it. Besides, they were all that was important to her anyways, so she found her life utterly complete.

"Well, we both seemed to have learned everything there is to know about our lives. Its kind of interesting, to see two different lifestyles can be." Though, not that her children had been grown for awhile, Tequila usually spent her time exploring, just how she used to in the old days.

"What else do you do with your time, Raksh? Any hobbies or enjoyments?"

Rakhsh smiled at her blushing. He hadn't meant to make her blush, but it made him smile, seeing that his words had such an affect on her.

When she spoke about her children again, it brought up another thought in his mind.

"What about your children's father? Did he enjoy bringing them up as much as you did?"

He knew that some stallions thought that it was the mare's job to raise the children, but he knew that he wanted to be a part of his children's lives if and when he had them. He couldn't imagine it any other way.

When asked about his hobbies, however, he chuckled and bore a wide grin.

"Well, I'm not so sure you could call anything I do hobbies. I like to explore a lot, and I also do some training every now and then, to keep myself in decent shape. And what about you?"

"Heh, I wouldn't know." she said, while flicking her mane. "He wasn't around, but it doesn't matter, I didn't need him anyhow." She could never 'fall' for love again, especially after him! "Some stallions like to come sweep you off your feet when you are young, but apparently three children was just too much to handle for the boy." With a slight chuckle, she brought her expression into a more composed one, and shook her head. "Pardon me for my.. ramblings. That's just a part of my past I suppose. I can't look at it as anything besides being blessed with three wonderful children."

Of course when she was younger, she was completely scared, being stuck with three children all alone! Looking back, she sort of missed those days, it was fun having children to raise. She wondered what it would be like with a stallion actually there!

"I think those are definitely hobbies," she smiled, being positive as usual. "Exploring is my most favorite thing in the world, so I would definitely consider that a hobbie." Since, that was what she did all day!

Rakhsh frowned for a moment. It must have been difficult to raise three children on her own. But then again, she said they had grown up to be successful adults. So perhaps she didn't need the help.

"Well, that's too bad to hear that a father didn't want to be part of his children's lives. I hope that I have children one day, and I plan to be a big part of their lives."

He smiled, laughing a bit at himself. It seemed quite sentimental and romantic, the way he hoped to be such a great father.

"There's no need to apologize. If that's considered rambling, which I don't consider it to be, then I don't know what you would have called my story."

He chuckled a bit as he remembered the length of his story. Though it was quite long, it never seemed to be too lengthy for him, though some might say otherwise.

"Ah, so we share something else. I'm glad to hear that there is at least one other who enjoys the aimless wanderings that I love so much"
PostPosted: Mon Aug 06, 2007 7:21 pm

"Well it is good to hear that you would embrace such a role, maybe some males are not fit for it? But, in most cases the female is happy to take on such a task anyhow." Be it maternal instinct, or just by nature.

"Ah but your story was as interesting as could be. It felt almost dream-like, to be able to listen to someone describe your past and history. Maybe you are just a pro at speaking but, it really was enchanting!" With a light glee, she giggled herself and sighed while looking at the sky. She had forgotten how much time she had spent standing there, and she almost forgot where she was and what she was doing. Dazing out like that tended to be a problem at times.

"Aimless wandering brings about the best setting. That is basically how I ended up here." With a light grin, she shook her mane and moved her body to a shadier spot. Strangely, the sun had peeked through the trees, so she needed to hide from it again.

"I hadn't even noticed how time has flied already, I've had too much fun." Well that was how the expression went, afterall! "Have you run into many in this land?"

Rakhsh smiled as she complimented him. He was actually quite surprised at how fond of him she seemed to be.

"Well, I'm glad I could make you happy, and I'm also glad that you enjoy my company. Sometimes, you can't quite tell whether you will enjoy meeting somebody new, but this time I must say I was pleasantly surprised."

He looked upwards as well, and frowned a bit as he realized that the sun had somehow figured out how to reach them through their shelter underneath the trees.

"Indeed, wandering does bring out quite a few adventures. And no, I actually haven't met many others around here yet. A few here and there, but this is the first conversation I've had that's worth having."

He smiled at Tequila as he himself shifted to hide from the sun.

"That's why you have to try and meet as many people as you can, right? So you can hopefully have some good experiences." Still smiling, she flicked her tail at the feeling of a light itch. "Of course, there always is the chance that you will run into someone rude but, that's life right?" She had had plenty of those!

She was a bit surprised that he hadn't met many others out in the land yet. Everybody seemed to be so social, that she was sure others would be drawn to the stallion easily.

"Well hopefully you can run into some more Soquili, I am sure you will enjoy all of the personalities that are out there." she grinned, since Rakhsh was such an interesting fellow anyhow! "You will be popular in no time, maybe even become your own legend out here!" Rakhsh was certainly strong enough, and he had the strive.

Smiling, Rakhsh listened to Tequila. She really was quite kind, and was very pleasant. He wondered if she was so nice to be around all the time. Everybody had their bad moods, right?

"I hope so, too. I'd love to meet some more Soquili like myself out here. I look forward to it. And thank you for the compliments. Though it doesn't matter to me if I'm popular or not. I just want the pleasure of going out there and meeting others. Though it might help if they like me."

He chuckled a bit and looked over at the pool of water. It was quite tempting right now. Even with his light coloured coat, the sun was really warming him up now, and he was sure that a nice drink from the fresh water would be nice.

"I'm going to go have a drink of water. Would you like to join me?"

He smiled as he moved towards the pond.

Once again, Rakhsh was being as pollite as usual! Tequila wasn't used to that, and she would smile at him all giddy as if she were a child!

"Of course I will have a drink with you. You didn't even need to ask, especially if you were thirsty!" Moving her own body slowly, she followed behind the stallion and tried to flip her hair back before taking a sip of water. His kindness was almost surreal to her, and she smiled to herself as she drank. It really was refreshing against the terrible heat.

She really had gotten to know the stallion so well, that for a moment she wasn't even sure what to ask him anymore!

"I feel as if we both have stated so much about ourselves, and I feel like I know you so well already!" Continuing to grin at him, she moved herself again so she was back in a shady patch. "If only I had an incredible story about my past.. maybe I will create one?" It was worth a thought, right!

Rakhsh lowered his head to the cool water and sipped in a few gulps. He knew his mane was going to get in the way, so he didn't bother trying to keep it out of the water. The reddish ends of his heavy mane dipped into the water, flowing with the gently current of the water. Whe he had had enough, he raised his head again, and joined Tequila back in the shade.

"I agree, we have learned a lot about each other in such a short time. I have enjoyed our meeting, and am glad that was stumbled upon each other."

He laughed as she mentioned her lack of history again.

"You don't need to create anything, Tequila. Your story, though it may seem plain and mundane to you, might seem wonderful to others. I for one am quite envious of your accomplishments so far. You have raised children, and I am told that it is a very hard thing to do. So you see, there it no need to be unsatisfied with your past, or indeed, your present."

He smiled and nodded sagely, hoping that she would agree that she had a wonderful life.

She had enjoyed it as well, and she giggled as he spoke about her past once again. "Well, I do appreciate you kindness, as always. I suppose I should gain some confidence then! But I really love my children, so I hope I am not giving a terrible attitude." She just loved tales and stories too much, that Rakhsh's was too fun to ignore! Now she felt sort of silly for bringing his legend up so many times!

"I told my son I would find him later, so I suppose I should try to do that.." she then said, with a lazy sigh. "He really can be quite the dufus at times, so I have to check on him every now and then." With a light wink, she smiled at Rakhsh with her usual energy.

"But I hope to run into you again, you have been nothing but pleasant and fun!" He really was a kind soul, and Tequila was thankful to run into him. "Have a nice rest of the day, Rakhsh!" And with that, she bowed one last time and started to trot off, while trying to pick up the scent of her son on the air.

Rakhsh smiled at Tequila as she spoke about her son, and laughed a bit when she called him a dufus. He knew that she meant no harm by it, and had said it in a joking way.

"Well, its good to know that you love your children and are proud of them. Not all children have that relationship with their parents."

When she told him how much she enjoyed his company, he nodded and smiled even more.

"I enjoyed your company, too, Tequila. And I, too, hope that we'll meet again one day! I'll keep an eye out for you in any of my daily wanderings. Perhaps we'll wander upon each other again."

As she left, he bowed his head slightly and watched her until she had crossed over a hill. He then turned and made his way out of the little patch of trees, and wandered off in no particular direction.
