Damon laughed, trying to increase his pace, though it wasn't working too well. It was hard to go faster when you were already going as fast as possible. All the same, he was having a marvelous time. He, his sister, and Sol were finally at the ocean, and he was beating his sister in a footrace. What could be better?
The little filly, however, wasn't exactly thrilled with the possibility of losing to her twin. She suddenly halted, twirled around, and bolted off in the other direction, past Sol again, and raced as fast as she could. Hopefully Damon would turn around and try to catch up to her now.
But that wasn't the case. He had gone quite a ways before he realized he could no longer detect the sound of splashing behind him, so he slowed to a halt and turned around. Way back, Calliope had also realized Damon hadn't turned to chase her, so she stopped and looked over at him. Both their eyes widened; they were so far away! They hadn't been this far away before, and it was a tad unnerving for both of them. They stood there for a few moments, simply looking at each other, seemingly waiting for the other to make a move. But they both gave in at the same time, racing down the stretch of beach towards each other.

Sol smiled faintly at the pair of foals as they galloped towards one another as fast as their small legs would carry them. It seemed almost everything the two Reya did together reminded him of how he and Vince had been. Damn he still missed that sometimes stoic feather-wing. Still, with all the travelling he was doing maybe, just maybe, he would run into the other stallion in some corner of the world. He could hope.
"One cannot help but adore foals," the pale Ichsa commented to Chandara with a smile. "I feel quite privileged to have met them, and to have been able to remain in their company. They have a way of making me feel at once the responsible adult and a colt again." Chuckling lightly at this thought, the tendril-winged warrior trotted towards the pair of foals, one ear perked forward to catch anything they might say to him and the other trained back for any words the other Ichsa might speak.
It was good that the minor bump in their conversation had been ironed out; it would have been awful to be at odds with the bluish mare for words that he was now convinced had not been meant badly. This was why he needed Vince back, to keep him from reacting quite so impulsively. The brown-eyed stallion sighed to himself and came to a halt about where he thought the siblings would meet and turned his head back to give Chandara another smile.

Chandara listened as she walked toward the foals with Sol again. "So few wouldn't understand the beautiful innocence foals have." Chandara said, "I too am privileged to meet them" she said "I wouldn't have met them unless you brought them here,” she told him with a grateful smile. Chandara wouldn't have met them if Sol hadn't brought them to the ocean. She too had been glad to meet the gray stallion once again. "That they do." she agreed with him. With the foals here she felt livelier less weighed on her heart in the presence of their innocence. The ischa mare watched as Sol went out into the middle of the charging foals. What was he doing? She wondered briefly. She knew he wouldn’t get hurt or the foals but still. “Careful” she called to all three of them with a smile.

The foals continued towards each other as fast as possible. It had unnerved both of them to be so far apart, even if it was only a few meters. They weren't aware of the conversation the two Ichsas were having, both of them concentrating too much on running towards their twin. And all of a sudden Sol was between them both, but why?
Calliope managed to come to a screeching, stumbling halt right before reaching Sol, and looked up at him with a grin, her small ears perked. Damon, however, didn't have quite so much luck. He attempted the same halt Calliope had, but realized that... It wouldn't quite work. In order to avoid a collision, or perhaps the fault of his lack of grace, he came to a screeching halt beside the gray Ichsa in a tumbled heap of black limbs. He quickly righted himself, and vigorously shook out his coat to get all the sand off. It was a rather comical sight; his small wings were outspread, eyes shut tight, and he nearly caused himself to topple over once more. That done, he opened his eyes and peered up at Sol, not noticing that hardly any of the sand had left his coat despite his vigorous attempts to remove it. "Whatcha doin' Sol?"

The tall stallion laughed at himself and hop-skipped a pace backwards with a slight smile and a nod to Chandara in acknowledgement of her thanks. "Choosing the worst place possible to stand it would appear," he observed with a shake of his head as he turned back to the foals. "I had hoped to stand more sort of here in relation to the pair of you than where I ended up. This is one of the reasons why I should look where I'm going I feel." Rather than distracting himself with looking at pretty mares. Oops. Oh well, no harm done.
"So what do you two think of the ocean thus far?" the dark-eyed Ichsa went on, bending down to put his head on a level with the foals'. He seemed to remember from being about their size that having to crane up to talk to people all the time had been rather annoying.

Sweet children. Chandara thought before trotting over to them. "Is everyone ok?" she asked all of them just wanting to make sure. Her call seemed to have been ignored. Still it was rather adorable and amusing. She gave a slight laugh. "So it would seem." she agreed cheerfully. It seemed no one was hurt.
She stood a little ways away and watched Sol talk to the foals from their eye level. Kind hearted indeed was this stallion.
"I know a place that might interest them." Chandara spoke up with a mysterious smile. "Would you Damon and Calliope like to see it?" she asked the foals. Then smiled at Sol "You would like to see it as well Sol?"

"It's wonderful!" Damon piped up, ears perked, still covered in sand from his fall.
"Beautiful!" The white filly added with a grin, prancing around in a circle. "Yes, we're okay," she said with a smile, halting in front of Chandara. She suddenly gasped, eyes wide, when the Rit-tailed mare said something about somewhere interesting. "Ooh, I wanna see! Where is it? Show us! Show us!" She said eagerly, prancing in place.
The black colt pranced over, circling around Chandara. "Ooh, where is it? I wanna see, too! Can we go? Can we? Please?"
"Please, can we, Sol?" Calliope suddenly asked of their spiral-horned companion, prancing over to him.

Sol smiled fondly down at his small friends and nodded his head. "Of course, I am eager to see this place Chandara has to show us as well." A gust of wind blew the stallion's mane into his dark eyes and, giving a snort, he shook it out again. "Is it far Chandara?" he asked, bending his head down to nose the worst to the sand out of Damon's coat.
It was good that they liked the place, good too that they'd made another friend today. It was a shame though that they didn't seem to know anyone their own age; perhaps he would have to take them to D'ob after this if they wanted to go. Nyx had mentioned to him in passing that quite a lot of couples both from her own herd and from others scattered about the place had been sneaking off of late and that probably meant an influx of foals, all potential friends for the two rainbowed Reya.
Having got as much sand off the black colt as he could, the Ichsa lifted his head again. "Well then," he smiled, "shall we be off to see this sight Chandara has to show us my friends?" On finishing addressing the youngsters, Sol's dark eyes turned to the other Ichsa again and he gave the mare a grateful smile; he liked people who were good to foals.

Chandara nodded "Of course it's not far, just a little ways." she pointed with her muzzle down the eastern half of the beach, were trees and vegetation seemed to intrude high on the cliffs a little ways farther into the mainland. Chandara smiled at the gleeful shouts of the foals and then their begging to Sol as though they would a father.
The ischa mare smiled back and began walking "This way." she smiled walking along the beach again. It was just a little ways in off the beach were the cliffs were placed.

"Yaaaaay!" They called, both bounding off and prancing in circles before bolting down towards where Chandara had mentioned. They were with Sol, their new friend Chandara, and they were going exploring. What could be better? Neither noticed until they were quite a ways down the beach that they had left both friends behind.
The white filly came to a screeching halt, ears twisting about, and her twin came to a stop in a heap after toppling over to avoid crashing into her. She looked behind them at the pair a fair distance away, and she stared at Damon. "Why are they so slow?"
"I don't know! Why are you so fast?" He argued, hoisting himself up and attempting to rid his coat of the irritating sand.
"Because I am," she said matter-of-factly as she rolled her eyes, as if this fact should be obvious by now. Turning towards the pair behind them, the rainbow-lined filly galloped back to them as fast as she could, calling as she did so. "Hurry up, slowpokes!"
"Yeah!" Damon called too, racing after his sister as fast as he could. "We wanna go see the whatever it is!"

Sol chuckled softly as the pair of Reya first raced off then thundered back towards them. Children were always in such a great hurry to be places... Still, a canter on the beach did sound appealing now he thought on it. Still smiling to himself, the dark-eyed Ichsa turned to Chandara. "Well, it seems we have our marching orders." They wouldn't be able to run very fast, not with the still small foals with them but it would still be good to stretch his legs beside another adult of his kind.
As the foals drew near, Sol trotted forward to meet them, glancing over his shoulder at the odd-tailed mare as he did so. "Do you feel ready to go for a run, my Lady?" he quizzed with a smile, ears pricked forward enthusiastically.

Chandara smiled children were always hurrying to places. Sometimes they would miss things. But still. Chandara continued to smile, the children would find it eventually it was a beautiful sight and obvious.
"Hurry up slowpokes" Calliope called
Chandara turned to Sol and nodded. "Indeed we do," A run? A mischievous smirk played upon her beautiful features. "Of course." she said and broke into a gallop. It had been a while since she had let loose and just ran.

When Calliope noticed that Sol and Chandara were going to run too, she slid to a halt and grinned, jumping a bit and wriggling her muscular tails. "Oh, oh! They're gonna run too!" And with that, she turned and raced as fast as her legs could carry her across the beach.
Damon noticed Calliope stop, so he attempted to halt as well. He slid forward and reeled, managing a graceful-looking twirl so he could turn to run after his sister. All he'd tried to do was not fall, and for once in his life he managed it rather nicely. "I'm gonna beat you!" He called with a grin, his hooves pounding the shifting grains.
"No you won't!" His twin laughed, ears perked, as they both raced along the beach. They each knew that their adult friends were faster than they were, being fully-grown and much larger, but the twins had gotten a head-start. Both were wriggling with excitement, trying to see if they could beat the grown-ups because of their head-start, or maybe they were a lot faster than they looked?

Sol chuckled as the pair of foals sped away before him and launched himself into a gallop. “Sounds good to me,” he called to Chandara as he shot past her and on towards the pair of young Reya. Today was a good day, he considered as he stretched his long legs to their fullest; the foals were happy, he was happy, he’d found Chandara again... Giving a toss of his head and whinny of exulted delight, the pale-coated male thundered on along the beach; all in all, the Ichsa stallion felt, life didn’t get a lot better than this.

The cliff seemed to be drawing closer as they galloped toward it and it's beautiful features more apparent as the sound of the waterfall began to sound more clearly The vegetation seemed to pull back as the came closer and revealed it's beauty as one was to get closer.
Chandara smiled gaining on the young foals as they continued to run. Damion managed a graceful turn instead of falling and Chandara smiled as he tried to catch up to his sister. She wasn't one to be outdone by the younger generation. Sol too was coming up on her side quickly running his fullest.
The mare laughed and slapped her rit tail playfully at the stallion lengthening her stride to its maximum.
This was a great day in her mind with her few friends galloping across the beach.
