fairiesfires gaah this year our uniforms are these green leotards with a red arm warmer, they kinda look army like, well thats the purpose but they dont look good at all, some pple yeah but not all. and they r really uncomfortable, u have to wear tight under them or no something cause they r see throughish. lol they're lucky that way xd ...my wosrt one... my eight grade year..."Bach in Blue" was the show. We had blue unitards with these gauzy over skirts or pants that we took off half way through the show.... good times. xp

last year, my band was performing a knights-fighting-dragons theme. i had to do 3 costume changes. that's right, 3 !!!!!! first i had on a silver chain mail looking top, underneth that was a red sash, and underneth that was a black old navy top with a stitched on shield thing.all these changes occured behind backdrops, and we usually only had 16 counts to get the layers off. thank god the pants stayed the same throughout the show, though...

Two years ago, our colorguard had to wear these really heavy, velvet, navy blue gowns with tons of horrible frilly lace at the collar and sleeves and dress hems. Our theme was "Gettysburg", so they were supposed to be dressed up as Civil War widows. They looked like old ladies wearing lots of makeup and glitter. I could only imagine what it was like when they had to roll on the ground and dance in those things. Also, they had coat racks as props, and each one had a Union or Confederate war jacket on them. They had to run around the field and dance with them, and it just looked plain stupid.

my guard has pretty bad uniforms, it's spandex pants with spandex shirts, with a ugly green vest, i feel bad 4 them

Drummermattsgurl So has any other guard teams had AWFUL uniforms? Two years ago, we did a show called the Hypar Effect. (no not hypEr....hypAr.) And our uniforms were neon green jumpsuits. And then our parents started complaining so we had to put these ugly fishnet things over the tops. (they were tight jumpsuits. eck) Any other disasters??? O:!! Hey! Our school did that....perchance you are someone I know!?

our uniforms are absolutely horrible.
when i have it hanging up in the band bag in my room, the smell that it gives off is horrible. even if you dry clean them and spray them with a whole lot of stuff they just smell really bad. and they rip. during a performance my uniform ripped right up the a** when my flag got stuck on it. not fun. we need new uniforms.

Like said before, at least you guys have costumes. We basicly use our P.E. uniforms. A grey and white baggy shirt, and a back baggy shorts with white shoes and socks. Not the best or the first choice for a colorgaurd outfit. it didn't even match (in anyway)our bright blue flags.

last year during marching seasons the girls had to wear a black velvet unatard. they were amazingling tight and the measurements weren't right so everyone of them had a camel toe when they went to toss. they are all personally my friends and i didn't want to see that. lol. but they wer disgusting. http://s89.photobucket.com/albums/k237/nightflare41/?action=view¤t=DSCF1023.jpgthe girl in the back is sporting it i am the one infront who didn't have a uniform.

Blue Water Fox Ugh. My uniform last year was terrible. Of course, our coach pays for our uniforms and silks out of her own pocket, so we get new stuff every 10 or 20 years. Anyway, last year our outfits were just awful. The entire thing was pure black spandex. We had these long-sleeved crop tops that went under a sort of pants-slash-tank-top thing and then over THAT we had this ankle length one-shoulder dress thingthat was solid until it hit the knees. Then it was slitted about 10 times, so we had these weird strips hanging off our legs that our poles would always get caught in. Or tripped over. Sometimes both. Ew. The spandex part isn't that bad, I'm guessing, since thats what we had ot wear, but the design sounds horrible. Our uniforms were good because they were stretchy and we could do our work without having issues with our equipment. But then, wearing colorful spandex doesn't give us the best rep with our peers...

And one girl on our squad actually has mold in the atroscious thing we wear! Does she get a new one, NOOOO. stare
stressed We've had these uniforms for about 6 years now. The majorettes get new ones every 2-3 years because their coach buys them herself and they have fundraisers and whatnot. Our flag squad isn't allowed because we have to "match the band" (even though the majorettes never do) and for some other stupid reason, so we probably won't get new uniforms until after I've already graduated!
Oh, but silly_sponge and I are going to change that when we get captain! twisted

omg in my rookie year two years ago we had these pure white tight uniforms and then when it would get real real cold . . . . omg all the guys laughed . . . it was friggin horrible!!
Last year our winter guard had these ugly green loose square outfits that looked like what a surgeon would wear. YUCK!
