-Ductape_Bandit- @Kouri-chan. It doesn't make any sense that the DC for a successful roll would change depending on anyone's modifier. If I get -1 to my rolls, and -1 to DC, it's like I have no modifier. So either your advice was a slip of the tongue, or a huge flaw in the system. The DC is variable because it represents the amount of mastery you need to raise your Chakra Control to the next level. Since Tenshi has like 2 Chakra Control points, obviously he's better at it than Kuri. It's unfair to hold you both to the same standard. What Andou (and training in general) wants is for personal improvement, not meeting a general standard but the personal standard. Oooooo, that was so sagey.~ edit: So, during missions or in situations where a certain standard of ability is required, of course the DC will be set. Just to clarify. smile

I'll edit my post, because looking back I didn't explain anything. Just remember that Batsu doesn't trust or respect Akemi at all. The fact that Akemi teased Batsu in the academy ended up screwing with his psyche and Akemi attempting to MAKE Batsu like him is pissing him off even more.

Damnit, I realized what you meant after I went on the following mathematical rant. I'm so proud of it that I'm posting it anyways, but feel free to ignore it if you want. So I guess the only flaw is the redundancy that confused the crap out of me. Buuut anyways, without further ado, my rant. Oh wait, one more ado, I was going to go on about the purpose of DC and roll modification, but I noticed the issue before I started.
Rant--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Let's look at the math, shall we?
The equation for a roll is 1d20+Chakra control mod. This means for me, I subtract 1 from whatever I roll. The equation for DC is BaseDC+Chakra control mod. This means that for me, I have to roll one less than the base DC.
The two subtracting terms cancel each other out. To see this, we combine both equations into what I call the success equation. In order to determine success, the roll has to match or exceed the DC, meaning that you subtract DC from Roll (Roll - DC), and if the result is 0 or greater, the roll is treated as successful.
Substituting the original two equations into Roll - DC. we get the equation for success. 1d20+CCmod - (BaseDC + CCmod). If we distribute the negative sign to the last two terms(we have to, this is math), we get . . .
1d20 + CCmod - BaseDC - CCmod. From here, combine like terms, and the CCmod terms cancel each other out. The final success equation is given as . . .
1d20 -BaseDC.
Using that equation, all shinobi, no matter how good at chakra control, are in fact held to the same exact standard, which is exactly what you're trying to avoid.

Haha, you're right, it is redundant. But I think you might agree that the gradually increasing DCs that your character can make represents a sort of progress in itself? Like, it's essentially the same thing, but wrapped with pretty paper. Sometimes, it's in the packaging. Anyway, I'm glad you get it? razz

Aw man, why did you have to do that?!?! Now Batsu feels bad!
But that was a sweet thing Akemi tried to do for Batsu. 3nodding He's gonna learn the jutsu and try to find a way to repay Akemi.
EDIT: Uh... Sage? Your character gains a level when he hits 300. Why does yours say 500?
EDIT2: Hey everyone, do you report when you finish a stage of the jutsu, or wait until the jutsu is finished?

Pr0dlgy EDIT2: Hey everyone, do you report when you finish a stage of the jutsu, or wait until the jutsu is finished? You can do whatever. I would recommend reporting at the end of each stage XD especially if it's a training that would actually give you ability/skill points and experience and shizz.
