We were given Four paws to walk, two eyes to see, two ears to listen...  Saltpaw[Saltpaw considered telling him she was fine.] "My brother. He's been avoiding me since the gathering...because I kind of well, got mad at him." [Saltpaw smiled innocently with a small shrug. Hauntednight
The living nightmare [After eating his rabbit Hauntednight felt tired and
decided to take a nap. Hauntednight didn't see Snowcherry
around. Probrably hunting right now.Hauntednight
thought. [Hauntednight went inside the warriors den,
wondering about what Snowcherry was getting herself into
now. Until sleep came over and he closed his eyes.

 F o r what is it to die, but to stand in the sun..._____________________________[Galestar opened his eyes, blinking away the groggy tiredness. He let out a soft sigh, icey eyes troubled. ]
(( I think Frostclaw's with him...sorry if he ignored her joke. D: Let's pretend he heard it but then fell asleep. whee ))
CHuckling, Galestar murmured, "I had a dream about that joke of yours. It was quite frightening."
[He sat up, his creamy pelt slightly windblown from all the activity. He tried to smooth it down as his heartbeat quickened.
So this is what it feels like...quite troubling, he thought absentmindedly, nervously trying to smooth down his spiky fur. Despite his efforts, it refused to be tamed, and he let out a sigh, leaving it be.
He blinked at Frostclaw and took a deep breath.
No beating around the bush. I have to look her straight in the eye.
His stomach dropped at the thought, and he marveled at the strange emotion he felt was a mix of excitement and fear, and exhilirating feeling that made his nostrils flare.]
He locked his robin-blue eyes on hers, refusing to let them waver, and said, "Frostclaw...I love both you and Birdsong, and I know you love me. It is...very hard for me to have to hurt one of you by picking the other. Very...very hard. I hope you understand that."
[He looked at her in a sort of sorrowful-apologetic look, shifting on his feet uncomfortably.
He gave her an awkward sort of grin before continuing.]
"I don't want to turn this into a speech or anything, even though I have the urge to, because well...I do that a lot. As leader."
[Mouse-brain, why are you being so dull? he swore to himself crossly.]
"Well, ah...love...love is the one feeling I don't understand. Maybe I will in time, but I know it's a delicate feeling, and it's the only feeling I can't detect in others...which is why I have the upper hand here I guess. Now I know for sure that you both love me, but I can only choose one. It would be the fair way."
[Aaaaand I'm turning it into a speech. Great.]
"Great StarClan, I took for granted how you two had the nerve and courage to tell me your feelings. Grah, what I'm trying to build up the nerve to say is..."
[Please, StarClan, don't let either of them be hurt by this.]
"I..."
[There was a long pause as Galestar built up the courage to say what he'd been attempting to the whole time. He made a mental note to respect both she-cats for being able to confess so quickly while he bumbled like a bumble-bee.]
"I want you, Frostclaw."
[Galestar stopped, his eyes still on Frostclaw. His narrow siamese face was taught with tense nervousness, and his tail twitched uneasily. He wasn't sure how the she-cat would react, yet he knew she returned the feeling.
Great StarClan, would I have ever been able to tell her without knowing she loved me in return...?

[Frostclaw smiled slightly at Galestar's first comment. She wondered who had it worse, him, or her and Birdsong. Fighting for someone whom you love more then anything, not knowing whether they loved you back. Crushing a friendship in the process. That was frightening. She sat down a tail-length from her leader and watched as he tried to flatten his fur. It had been perfect when he was sleeping, having a nightmare. She had groomed him, trying her best to be of any help. Though after the battle his fur seemed to have decided to ignore his wishes and stuck up at odd angles.]
[Frostclaw listened to Galestar ramble on. With each new statement her heart sank. It sounded as though he was trying to build up the courage to tell her he chose Birdsong. She wondered if he was afraid of her reaction, as though she might claw his ear off. Even if he chose Birdsong, she would have understood. It would hurt, and she would never stop loving him, but she would be glad he would be happy.]
[Frostclaw started to cringe back as he came to his conclusion. It was time, either way she would be happy. She closed her eyes slightly awaiting the worst. When Galestar said her name she widened to her eyes. She was speechless and ecstatic. She stood there momentarily before jumping up.She ran toward him, tackling him to the ground. She licked him quickly on the cheek. She didn't know what to say she figured that action spoke louder then words.]
