"Well, that's a relief," Luk laughed sheepishly. "I'm not one to complain, but with all those people, I felt a bit claustrophobic."

Earendil smiled. "Yes, it will be quite different on our voyage back to the Four Lands."

It wasn't long to to the castle from there, and very soon they were at the castle door. The guards there gave Luk only a passing glance as they headed inside.

Earendil chuckled. "They know us by now. We have a habit of picking up passengers whenever we go somewhere."

"That and we have the habit of having the most incredible and unbelievable things happen to us," Lin replied wryly, "You do realize this time we weren't even looking."

It had become so standard for them at this point, but honestly. They weren't even supposed to be looking for new islands and what they do they do? They found a continent.

Luk raised one eyebrow at Lin. "You usually go out looking for unbelievable things to happen to you?"

"Not really," Earendil chuckled. "I think she meant that we usually go out in search of adventure. When your people came upon us, we were leaving adventure behind, returning to a calm and predictable life. Or so we thought."

"Besides, even when we go out for adventure the most we normally expect is... seeing something new," Lin replied, "And then something tends to happen."

She shrugged, but grinned because it was all in good fun anyways. It made life interesting.

Earendil stared ahead and blinked. "Speaking of unexpected," he murmured. "Isn't that Rhea's parents?"

Further up the hall, heading away from the group that had just arrived, two black-haired figures were walking: a tall, black-robed figure, and a much shorter figure with long hair and a defined limp.

Sure enough, it was hard to miss the two what with Shael's limp and Adonai's tall stature (that and of course Lin had known Shael when they were younger).

"So it is...." Lin stared in surprise, "When did they get here?"

"My guess?" Earendil looked down at Lin. "While we were gone?"

Suddenly from behind them came the pitter patter of little feet, and from very close to the ground a little voice spoke up: "S'cuse me."

Vergil slipped between Earendil and Lin and ran after Adonai and Shael.

Celeb stared. He had never seen a surprise stage second before. "Who is that?"

Haldia giggled. "I think Rhea has some visitors," she grinned.

"If Vergil is here then...." Lin looked around but was layway from behind.

"Lin!" a blond haired woman hugged Lin from behind.

Even though she had wings like Lin did, she looked a bit different from an angel. Her wings were more like bird's wings and they were blue in colour, and even more odd was that she had a bird's tail.

"Cindy!" Lin laughed, "So you all came to visit?"

Earendil chuckled. "Hello, Cindy," he smiled. "How long have you been here? I assume someone went on a roc to get you?"

He was willing to bet it had been Aurin, since no one else would know where to go.

Cindy nodded while hugging her little sister, "Aurin came to get us while you were gone. Rhea was feeling a bit homesick so we all came to visit her."

It was nice to be traveling, even if it was for a little bit, a change of scenery was always good.

"Where's Miyuki?"

"Playing with friends," Lin replied, "She was hyperactive when we got off the boat. She'll be back in time for dinner."

"Homesick," Luk murmured softly to himself. He looked at Cindy. "So you are from the same place that Rhea is?"

Earendil smiled and put one hand on Luk's shoulder.

"Cindy," he murmured, "this is Luk. Arthael is his half-sister."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 02, 2010 9:19 pm

"Half sister?" Cindy blinked and looked at Luk.

It wasn't that the fact that he was human looking that threw her off, it was the fact he was blond and light skinned, but then again Earendil did say they were half siblings and she found the people here tended to have one or the other characteristics instead of a melting blend of the two.

"I didn't know she had a half brother," Cindy smiled widely, "It's good to meet you, and yes. I live in the Borderlands, near Haven."

Luk chuckled softly. "Well, to be fair, even she doesn't know she has a half brother," he smiled. "And thank you, it is good to meet you, too."

"I don't mean to interrupt," Earendil interrupted, "but do you know where Aerin is, Cindy? We need to introduce Luk and get her official permission for him to stay in the castle with the rest of us."
PostPosted: Thu Sep 02, 2010 9:28 pm

"In her study," Cindy replied, "The construction has made leaps and bounds, it has kept her and your uncles quite busy."

And a lot of other people for that matter, still Aerin looked happy and far more open than Cindy had ever seen her. Granted Cindy didn't get to see Aerin all that often.

"I'm glad to hear it," Earendil smiled. He turned to Lin. "Coming with?"

In a way, he felt as if Luk was sort of his guest, though he wasn't sure why. Maybe it was that protective streak that ran through him, just as it once had run through Elrohir.
