Shadow separated from Ron the moment he mindlessly headed to the arena. He given access to a vault room in the basement floor full of old gladiator weapons. They were all hand me downs from students who moved on to upper classes and left their equipment behind. Although, Shadow was not impressed from the quality and condition of the weapons. Many of them were old, worn out and rusted. "Is this an armory or a scrapheap? -.-' ", he thought as his eyes narrowed down the a sweat drop passing his head. None of the weapons are as promising as his sword 'Silver Leaf' was, but he need at least something to refrain him from relying on his powers even a little. Out of all of them, only one weapon stood out. The quality wasn't all that great, but it was made from nice hard material and its very good shape. The weapon Shadow chose was a standard warblade. A large sword once used by an armored samurai with high stature and physical strength to wield it. The guard chuckled a little when Shadow picked it since he was only a child. But his amusement turned into shocking awe when Shadow lifts it up with one arm. "Meh...a little heavy", Shadow says casually as he walks out with the guard's jaw dropped off his face. "This thing probably wont last long, but its better then nothing. At least until I find a more proper weapon after the tournament is over.

Shadow walks out with his new weapon shining through the arena spotlights. "Oh great, that half breed freak has a new toy now", says someone in the crowd. Shadow pays no heed to their remarks, although this sort of passed his mind,"You bet your a** i have a new toy. And you better hope I wont have to end up using it on you". Shadow stabs the massive blade into the ground and lays back leaning on it while watching Akira's battle. "Wow, looks like things are heating up", he thought.

Rei suddenly appears out of the blue while Shadow was lying back with same usual silence watching the carnage. "Well yeah sure. Its nothing special", Shadow replies quietly and casually. The sword didn't mean much to him since its just an old hand me down. "I just took it out of the scrapheap", he says as he stretches out like a little kitten.

"Huh, what the...Hey!!!", Shadow spoke in a surprised voice in a soft tone that he has never shown before. Shadow was able to handle the squeezing, but being so close to someone wasn't something he could handle. He finds himself closely face to face as he shyly averts his eyes away. His face then turns slightly red and he goes stiff as a bored. At that moment, he fierce crimson irises became like that of a little puppy's. After all that time blocking out his emotions, a bold and happy approach was enough to reveal that Shadow has a shy side. "L-let me g-go.", he said in a weak quite gentle tone. Apparently, Shadow doesn't seem to be used to being hugged

"I....I'm not cute....will you sto....uh?", Shadow's red face turned brighter for a moment after Rei kissed his forehead. Then his eyes suddenly go into a distant emotionless look as he tilts his head down. A very strange reaction for a boy. Anyone would expect him to become more flustered, yet somehow it gave him a negative reaction. He had the look of a lost child that misses his mother. He goes silent as he slowly reaches for his chest and grabs his shirt. But suddenly, he starts feeling around for something and goes into a panic. "Wha, where is it. It's gone", Shadow frantically scours across the ground looking for something. "Dammit Dammit Dammit", Shadow scoops up the dirt and grass desperately searching. What ever it is, it must be very important to him. It appears a possession of Shadow's has gone missing at some point. Below Rei's feet was a silver heart shaped pendant on a shiny delicate necklace.

Shadow's eyes widened as he gently holds out his hand to the pendant. He leans back on to his sword and takes in gently deep breathes. It's not like Shadow to suddenly freak out like he just did. What ever that pendant is, it must really mean a lot to him. ".....thanks", he says silently with releif in his voice as he holds it to his chest. "I Really need to get a new chain for this stupid thing", he whispers annoyed.
