The door remained shut in front of Fyrin; he saw an intercom. There appeared to be no easy way to ascend the building; it was a skyscraper with no buildings in or near contact with it.

With a shrug, Fyrin punched the intercom, waiting to hear if they would talk to him. A bit presumptuous, but better to let them come to him then vice versa.

"Hello?" came a tinny, bored-sounding voice.

Joe and Jacob made their way to their destination. They were a quarter of the way there. Nothing yet. Joe was doing his very best to suppress his magical signature, which was a very difficult task for him. He shot a mental communique to the Fists and the Djinn asking for advice. He was also attempting to explain how to do it to Jacob. Hopefully, it would be easier for him, since he had lower amounts of energy.

Jacob followed Joe's instructions on how to hide his magical signature. He found it rather simple to do so, seeing as his was rather small.

Just loop your magic emanations back in towards you, I guess, the gauntlets suggested to Joe.

With a shrug, Joe tried it. It took three tries, and on the third try he felt an odd tingling, not entirely uncomfortable. He knew it had worked. They were a third of the way. Still nothing. Joe decided it would be safer to take a cab, so he hailed one and they set off.

Fyrin thought a moment. What sort of thing would a vampire want? Well, what had the Necroguild-man wanted? "I have a dragon scale?" Fyrin returned, sounding just as bored and just as much as though he didn't want to be there. "Someone around here ordered one?"

The intercom was silent. The door in front of him slid into the wall.

Oh, here came the interesting part.
Well, at least the dragon scale would explain the armed guards.
He stepped in through the door, cautiously, probing for magic as he went, watching for traps. He had a nasty feeling about this.

The door sealed behind him. He was in a long, dark corridor with red lights lining the corners against the walls, both at the floor and at the ceiling.

Fyrin stared. Well, then again red lights made sense. They were vampires. That wasn't what he was staring at, though; he was staring at corners. Always check your corners. He began to move slowly, his men keeping close just in case.

Meanwhile, Joe and Jacob had reached their destination. Joe gave the cabby $5 to wait, then went to the door and looked through the directory. Finding Rose, he dialed her on the keypad and waited.
