TtheHero How's this sound for a Metal-Element skill?
Chrome Shield. Used to completely block an oncoming attack, and, due to it's highly reflective surface, deflect Light-Based attacks back at the sender. How is Metal an element at all?

Eh, various metals come from earth, Earth is a common Element in standard RPG jargon... it's like a subset, really. Still comes from natural resources.
As long as it fits into my story, it'll fly.
I know you haaaaaaaate tropes, but Metal is listed there in the entry for Elemental Powers, so I can't really be faulted.

Shadow, Wind and Holy were never elements. The classical elements were either Earth, Fire, Air, Water, or Fire, Earth, Air, Water, Metal, or other combinations.

The ancient Chinese were the ones who used the metal element.

In my story, there are a set of nine Elemental Stones.
Wind, Fire, Ice, Thunder, Water, Earth, Metal, Dark, Light.
The Organization wants them to rule the world, but not if the protagonists can stop them.

Oh neat check this out. Generating
* Wood feeds fire; * Fire creates earth (ash); * Earth bears metal; * Metal collects water; * Water nourishes wood.
Overcoming
* Wood parts earth; * Earth absorbs water; * Water quenches fire; * Fire melts metal; * Metal chops wood.
