Ever laughed hollowly and shook her head. Water was beginning to form in her eyes, to her horror. She reached both of her hands up and rubbed her face vigorously as she sighed in frustration.

She put one of her hands on her hip, then, and the other one dug into her hair.

"Just like your family. Cryptic in what you say. You speak in riddles."

"Did you ever expect more from a god?" he asked. She shouldn't. By now, she should know better. "It is what we do best, after all. Riddles and mysteries... We love them so." He seemed to be waiting for something. He wasn't sure what he was waiting for, though. "Isn't that right...Pepper?"

Ever scoffed harshly and she shook her head as she looked down at the ground. She would not cry. She would not let him see her cry again. Besides, she always thought it was cruel when girls cried during an argument, almost like they were trying to sway the man to feel bad for them and win the argument.

She looked back up at Ares, water still in her eyes. "Yeah. I did expect more. A lot more."

She obviously wasn't talking about speaking in riddles anymore.

Ever scowled slightly at Ares. "I can't believe you're still talking in riddles after what happened. I SAW you kissing her! You were holding her closely on the dance floor and then she leaned in and kissed you! You didn't stop her and you were holding her closely!"

Altan, tired of waiting for the people to speak with a final decision, suddenly teleported all who had been in the cafe--Bo, Luli, Aurora, Caroline, and Kilala--to the party. Aurora, who hadn't been expecting this, fell backwards onto a conveniently-placed sofa, and Altan immediately occupied her lap. He didn't look at Bo. I was tired of waiting.

Aurora just sighed at her familiar's antics.

Ever's own eyes started to fill with anger and a red tint began to show. Her hair had already been red for the party, so no change there.

"Do NOT speak to me like I am some child, Ares. I know what I saw. You were holding her like she was your lover and you were barely moving. That is NOT dancing and don't you dare try to play this off like you did nothing wrong."

She smirked sadly at Ares. "Would you like to see me dancing with someone like that? What if I danced with another guy like that? Are you telling me that it would mean nothing?"

Ever shook her head and smiled sarcastically at Ares. "You know what? You're right. What's wrong with dancing with a friend in that manner? Why don't you just watch me dance with a friend in the exact same way you did with Aphrodite, no kissing involved, and see if you are as calm about it as you are right now. Somehow, I think you're giving me a ******** double standard."

She shoved her way through the crowd and then went up the stairs. She grabbed Musica's arm and started forcefully pulling him along behind her as she walked back downstairs. Once they were back on the dance floor, Ever turned back to Musica. There was fury in her eyes.

She wrapped her arms around Musica's neck and she hissed up at him. "You owe me for earlier. Dance with me. Dance with me how you would with any other woman."

Kilala grinned and started looking around, her master's aura glowing stronger than the other's in her eyes. Soon enough, she found her, but started getting worried. Why was Akira's heart racing so much and her mind so blank with...fear?

Being so tiny, it was quite easy to slip though the crowd like a snake, never once getting stepped on or tripping anybody. When she reached Akira, the Demonic feline jumped onto the girl's lap and reached up, nuzzling her neck.

"Akira...Snap out of it!! Waky waky girl!!! Come on now...come back to the present...." Kilala begged, glancing over when she heard familiar voices and raises an eyebrow.

That did it for the Dog Hanyou. She shook her head lightly and blinked furiously, her sapphire eyes regaining focus.

"Huh...? What? Kilala? When did you get...HUH???" Why was Evermore in tear, glaring at Ares? Did they fight or something...?

"Yay, your back to normal!! And you must of been really out of it...I just got here with the others...What happened to you? she asked, letting her paw rest on Akira's heart and looking at her with worried eyes.

Akira simply shook her head again and smiled softly, stroking her familiar behind her ear.

"I...I'll tell you later. Not now, ok? I'm still trying to figure out what happened myself, actually..." she replied and Kilala nodded, letting it drop for now.

Both familiar and master just watched the scene going on with Evermore and Ares, lost and curious and somewhat upset that Evermore looked so mad.

...Akira just choked and Kilala's eyes widened as the Fury dragged the Demi-God onto the floor and wrapped her arms around his neck!? Seriously?? Just what the hell was going on!?
