Minerva: Yeah, I'm so glad I switched to a public high school. I'm loving it so far.
-pouts- You and Para are almost 20 and 7th years, Kitsune's almost 18 and a 5th year...I feel so puny...but I am catching up as far as guild ages go. I have like 15 or something posts left before I'm a 3rd year! Woo!
Hmm...I might try the banner contest...I took Page Design last year for my elective, so I know much about Photoshop. Maybe I should put my knowledge to the test...maybe...I'm not sure yet.
Meatball: Just from that one post, I can see you are a true Ravenclaw. Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here! We have cookies! ^_^

Kineka_the_Warrior Meatball: Just from that one post, I can see you are a true Ravenclaw. Welcome! I hope you enjoy it here! We have cookies! ^_^ Cookies! I just need to make sure I eat them before the chocolate melts on my fingers and I end up putting smudgemarks all over my books sweatdrop I did manage to eat a slice of boysenberry pie while re-reading Bram Stoker's Dracula a few nights ago. Just about every Sorting Hat quiz I've come across has pegged me as a Ravenclaw. The official Facebook one did (before they booted me for not having a real name. My real name is quite uncommon so I avoid using it online as much as possible). Likewise, if you go to google and type in "Sorting Hat Quiz" you will find a quiz based on muggle scenarios, and sometimes the questions have *gasp* more than 4 answers! You cannot always tell which answer links to which house, so it's just best to answer them. It pegged me as Ravenclaw as well. Although I seem to be a pretty clear-cut Ravenclaw, I actually wouldn't be offended at being a Hufflepuff. They're really hard workers, and loyal, and have good hearts. It's rather sad that in the cannon the only 'gem' of Hufflepuff you see is Cedric Digory. -edit- Also, don't feel too strange about the age thing. I'm 24 and-a-half years old, and I'm currently a First Year. rolleyes Silly, ne?

Kineka, don't feel puny. It's cool to have older people to ask for advice. 4laugh I always wanted an older sibling, but - alas -I'm the oldest in my family (oldest child and oldest grandchild).
Meatball, I've not read the original Dracula read yet, but I read Mary Shelly's Frankenstein, which was quite good. You can't fully appreciate it unless you've read Paradise Lost first. I'm guessing Dracula is good if you RE-read it. wink

Meatball: Ooooo sounds nummy! I need to read that...I think my mom might have it on her iPhone, so maybe I'll ask...I do have Frankenstein, though, but it's one of those SAT ones where one page is SAT words and the other page is the story. Haven't read it yet though, I don't know if it's the original one or not.
I might have to take that quiz...in this sorting guild I'm in, they've pegged me as a Hufflepuff...o.O.
Lol nice. I'm still the youngest one here...at least, that posts.
Minerva: May I start off by saying your avi is beautiful. Love the blues and the...dolphin? I think? Well, anyway, it's gorgeous! ^_^
Aw, that sucks. I'm the youngest sibling (out of step-siblings) and the middle grandchild. But yeah, it is cool to have older people to talk to.

Hello all! I'm new to this guild, obviously. Pleased to meet each and every one of you.
As customary of a Ravenclaw, I shall answer the questions.
Where are your greatest strengths? I'm not quite sure if the word 'where' is a typo, but I'll go with it. I believe my greatest strengths to be in my mind. In my opinion, nothing is impossible to an open mind.
What makes you happy in your life and why? I consider myself to be a simple individual, so even the smallest of things can make my day. A simple smile and wave will suffice. What makes me truly happy though, on a daily basis, are the people in my life. If curious, one could always go and read my profile for more.

Reason I've been gone: Sims3 and Sims2 decided that I wanted to play the Sims. So I've barely been allowed to de-attach myself.

Welcome PervyKirby! Another first-year Ravenclaw! This means we get to be in the same classes together and can probably sit together in the Great Hall, etc etc!
Are you (or any other established Ravenclaws) interested in joining the Dueling Club? I'm thinking of checking it out, but I'd rather not go alone. Strength in numbers, after all! redface

Kitsune: Sorry! I thought you were already 17, and turning 18 in September. My bad sweatdrop .
I don't know how many I have left to be a 3rd year...but I did have one question. How come to become a second year, you need 50 posts, but to be a third year, you need 100 posts, and so on? Wouldn't it be better for each year to have an equal amount of posts?
I was never allowed to play Sims. My parents say it was too inappropriate -rolls eyes-. It's rated T, I think I'm fine now. But I never really got into it...maybe I should try one of these days.
Meatball: I've been meaning to ask about that, actually...is the Dueling Club a roleplay? I know Quidditch isn't, but I don't know if the Dueling Club is...
Oh and I took that Sorting Hat quiz on Google, and got Ravenclaw. Yay!

Thanks for the warm welcome, glad to be in Ravenclaw!
To meatballhead, about the dueling club, sounds great!
I read some rules and an example, still don't quite get it. You may have to dumb it down for me. Yeah, pretty sad, considering I got into Ravenclaw! xd
Oh, and I've never RPed either so forgive me in advance if I'm not up to par with your expectations.

Pervy, I don't really get it either, so don't feel bad smile . And I've only roleplayed once, and it was horrible...never going back there again.
Haha guys, I found a new obsession with Wrock songs, lol! This is my first time listening to them, I think they're amazing!

Wow you aren't allowed to play the Sims? Kitsune I know what you mean by the Sims drawing you in and playing forever. It happens to me all the time especially by the new Sims 3.
Welcome to the new Ravenclaws!
Wrock is good, some bands are not so good but others are great! I went to see Harry and the Potters and Draco and the Malfoys when they were first starting to get popular back in like 2006. Now they are very popular and I probably will never see them again.
Have any of you read the books of Pellinor by Alison Croggon? I highly recommend it.
I went to private school for 5 years. 4th grade-8th grade and I know what you mean. 8th grade was a horrible year for me, my friends all transferred to public and I was left alone that year. I was lonely because I didn't get along with all the other preppy rich kids, that's when I discovered Rock music and culture, it really saved me then.

I wasn't back when I was into it, which was when I was like, 10. I was only allowed to play the ones rated E, which were the City, Golf, and Roller Coaster ones. No Hot Date or any of those.
I love The Parselmouths, they're hilarious! I have noticed that some of these people can't really sing...like The Remus Lupins. Don't get me wrong, Lupin rocks, but the guys don't sing very well...but I also love The Moaning Myrtles (Prefects are Hot = heart )
Hmm...nope, can't say that I have. Don't think I've ever heard of it.
I've been to a private school since kindergarten. Freshman year was my first year in a public school, and I loved it. My school was so small and cliquey, it was ridiculous. 8th grade, we were so dramatic and no one got along that we were all happy we were graduating. No one cried, but I can't say I'm surprised. We all hated each other.

How do you add banners to your signature thingy? And for young people that never post here, I'm only 15. I'll be a sophomore.

Since we're on the topic of Wrock, could anyone please recommend any good bands?
To narikoxneji26, just copy the IMG code, go to: MyGaia-->Account Settings-->Signature, then paste and save.
Hope that helped you.
