Rings used to be unsoulbound, but the devs observed that it made people get into zOMG for the wrong reasons. The kinds that wreck the Gaia economy. I think this is a quote on the issue:

And about the Japanese, unfortunately, I am not very good at identifying Kanji. What is that you're trying to do there?

Evilweirdo 0 Speaking of glitches, I just experienced a weird one in ToS. I was on my way out of Forcystus' ranch. At a fight victory screen, the game froze and this weird sort of buzzing noise played. It worked fine after I reset, and I had just saved, so it didn't really matter. I wonder if that's the Devil Noise glitch I've read about. It is said to happen after any battle and no one knows what causes it. Ooo, sounds like the makings of a creepypasta... ;;>_>
Ah, now where did I catch that....ah yeah. Accidental Nightmare Fuel.

Azura Cantarella I wonder if that's the Devil Noise glitch I've read about. It is said to happen after any battle and no one knows what causes it. Ooo, sounds like the makings of a creepypasta... ;;>_> It wasn't scary at all. It was just a weird buzz. If I had had the volume up high, then it could have taken me by surprise, but I had it kind of low at the time. Send me a video, and I'll check it out.

@Sirea: Saaaaame. I feel so incomplete. D:
@Neji: I think the topic got trashed later because there was so much flaming in it. I screencapped Qixter's quote as something to look at whenever raeg about soulbound rings comes up. xd
I really do think the devs are justified. Think about it: the people who are too lazy to grind will just buy CL10 rings off the MP and just blaze through the game, thus reducing the amount of time people would actually play the game. And people spending much time on this game is what the devs want. Additionally, people who'll play for the purpose of making big gold will have the advantage of gaining it all too quickly, which I think eventually leads to mucho inflation.

I think it would be pretty hard to make a video of it, given that there are no known triggers...

The rings ARE purchaseable... Unless im reading you wrong. Also, even with no known triggers they could just run off and get a video camera when it happens.

Azura Cantarella @Sirea: Saaaaame. I feel so incomplete. D: Same here. With all those orbs I have in my stash, I'd have that sucker up to level 10 in no time. xd

@Neji: It's nearly 3-freaking-mil for a Sweetheart Ring. I ain't paying that much. gonk
If you were referring to the other Rings, those are the ones produced before the auto-soulbinding upon drop went into effect.
And perhaps the glitch happens too fast. Are there that many people who can easily snag a video camera that quickly?

The people of the internet just seem to have a natural aptitude for catching video of random stuff such as that almost daily. So why not this?
Say, how many Ghi abilities have you all unlocked? Ive only unlocked 5...
Also I have the Rock Armor, Pot Lid, Improbability Sphere, Wish, Bandage, Diagnose, Defibrillate, Meat, Healing Halo, Divinity, Fitness, Knife Sharpen, Keen Eye, Ghost, Gumshoe, Iron Will, My Density, Coyote Spirt, Guns/Guns/Guns, Fire Rain, Fleet Feet, Mantis, Slash, Dervish, Bump, Hack, Shuriken, Hot Foot, Hornet Nest, Solar Rays, Hunters Bow, Duct Tape, Scaredy Cat, Teflon Spray, and Turtle rings. Which ones am I missing other than Sweetheart?

Fortune's Favor: You had to have a part in killing a Golden Egg during the Easter event to get one. It's just a passive ring, like Fitness, that increases Luck, Dodge, and Accuracy.
Sugar Rush: You had to have a part in defeating Jack during the Halloween event last year. It's also a passive ring, that increases Speed, Dodge, and Willpower.
Adrenaline and Taunt are so old. o.o Adrenaline debuffs Dodge on enemies, and Taunt aggros them into targeting you alone. These randomly drop from enemies.

I was there on both events too. xd I did get a kick out the old Halloween event where they had vampires and werewolves.
