Lina cried out, the sound of bones crunching causing even Aurora to slow down in surprise. She closed her eyes as she healed herself, gritting her teeth before sitting up. She said nothing as she moved over to him, her healing power working on him as well.

Remus's breathing rasped and he lost conciousness, still repeating his apology until he blacked out. As the fog cleared, some of the elder vampires moved in to assist her.

Lina silently thanked them all after the process was done, but her face was still grim as she walked straight to her room and slammed the door, making many who were nearby jump.
Aurora looked at this in surprise before walking into the courtyard, her nose leading her to the humans held captive nearby.

Remus slowly came to and all but one of the vampires left. The remaining one helped him sit up and gave him a glass of water to drink. As he drank, the vampire told him what had happened.
Remus climbed to his feet and asked to be left alone. The vampire obliged and closed the door behind him. Remus changed his clothes and drew his sword. He looked at it for a moment. He barked in frustration and drove it into the wall. "Why did I lose control!" He sank onto his bed, his head in his hands. "I can't lose her..."
