"Aw man. . ." He went over with Irene.
"Let's go!" She struck out first with a transmuted fist. She had turned her arm into metal. Ouch.
Keiryu stumbled back from the hit but then send in blasts of magic at her.
Irene reinforced her legs to move quicker. Indeed she did run faster, away from the blasts. Of course reinforcements to a living body had a time limit which ranged from five seconds to thirty minutes. Irene's limit was five minutes. "Lousy shot!" She casted another spell again.
"WHOA!" The ground under Keiryu crumbled and then exploded, sending him up into the air. "Not good, not good!" He fired up his mana circuits and reinforced his legs quickly to avoid breaking his bones when he landed.
Keiryu looked around and then summoned tendrils from the ground to attack Irene.
Irene just kept running. She made an image copy of a bow and then of a sword. She reinforced the sword which shifted its form into an arrow. She strung the bow, set up the arrow and took aim.
Irene released the arrow and created more arrows to fire at Keiryu.
"s**t!" He swung his arm in front of him. From that swing, a red colored force field came up. This was the famed AT field that Dolores was told about, weeks before. The arrows exploded on contact with the force field.
"An AT field?" Now she was in shock. Just when can a kid like him, at his level, create an AT field like that?! "Jesus!" Irene send a shock wave under Keiryu's feet.
A stone spike shot up from the ground at Keiryu, behind the AT Field. " !! " Keiryu lost balance trying to avoid that spike. The AT field was down. He landed on his back and then started to run at Irene.
Now he was using image tracing. What came out was Gojyo's shakujo, but then Keiryu reinforced it. The look of it was now different, it had a scythe instead of the crescent blade, the spade on the end of it was now a arrowhead blade. He swung the reformatted shakujo at Irene as the scythe blade spun like a boomerang at her.
"Holy s**t!" Irene bailed from the scythe blade. She put up a barrier to stop the blade. Well it did ricochet off but now it was spinning back a her. "Oh. . . I hate you now."
"Can't help that." He was controlling the blade by pulling it by the chain.
"Take this!" She summoned a bolt of lighting to attack Keiryu.
Needless to say, he looked like a kappa that was struck by lighting. The shakujo didn't make it any better. It was gone now. "Ow. . . " Keiryu was aching all over from that. Yeah the voltage wasn't lethal but it left him temporarily paralyzed for about five seconds.
"Wow, I didn't think you'd go down that fast." Irene charged at him, ready with a literal iron fist.
He was punched indeed. A sickening crack from his shoulder was heard. Keiryu's shoulder was dislocated and broken from that hit. He yelled out and then kicked Irene off of him.
Keiryu got up and image traced again, this time being his Carpathian Dragon gun. There was the sound of flesh behind pierced and then there was blood from his gun hand. He lifted it up, took aim and fired at Irene.
"No way. . . They're real?" She ran as she was shot at. He can use a Carpathian Dragon?! She put up another shield barrier to block the incoming alchemically processed blood bullets.
She sent in another seismic shock wave at him.
Okay, this time, he saw it coming. Keiryu jumped away from the exploding part of the ground. He felt his gun getting lighter, Oh ********> The reservoirs were going down and then he'd be screwed over. If they figured it out, he'd never hear the end of it from his older siblings.
"Okay. . . Reinforcement, and image tracing down. So is the defense. . ." She lashed out mana tendrils at him. Now these things came from the ground, from all sides. Irene was going for Keiryu's mana burst.
Great, just great they were really going for him! Keiryu kept shooting but then his reservoirs ran out. The blade inside his gun shot in deeper into his hand, it started to draw blood directly from him. Damn little blood sucking weapon!
Why wasn't he using his mana burst!? Irene imaged the bow and set of arrows once again. She set the arrow, pulled and took aim. She then started to over charge the arrow. In terms of a magician, this was considered a Broken Phantasm, not really favored by Spirits from Avalon unless there was a situation where they could easily replace the weapon used.
Irene was still charging her Broken Phantasm. She was definitely putting a lot of energy into it, this kind of move is usually lethal if it hit whoever was on the receiving end. The arrow was glowing from purple to white, it was at it's limit of power storage.
However, a Broken Phantasm isn't a Broken Phantasm if it's power storage limits weren't broken. But making such a weapon would take a lot of skill. The tendrils were keeping Keiryu busy so she could successfully charge her arrow. After this arrow, she'd be out of mana for the day.
She released the arrow. It flew like a comet, straight for Keiryu.
" !! " Keiryu only had a split second before the arrow hit. In that time, he finally used his Mana burst. His version was reminiscent of a raging hurricane. The color was red as blood and the outer area had spinning projectiles that went just as fast as bullets.
When the arrow hit his mana burst, there was a huge explosion of power. from the Broken Phantasm. The blast radius was bout twice as big as Hoseki's mana burst.
Keiryu was safe inside his mana burst, at least.
Irene was knocked unconscious from the blast, she wound up around 500 meters away from where she was before she let the damn thing go. Her clothes were tattered from the explosion as well, but not by too much.
"Holy . . ."
"s**t!" Taima was basically stunned.
"That's a lot of power. . . ." Feel commented. Hell, he didn't think a Zenith could stand in the aftermath!
The mana burst was down. Keiryu was exhausted, very exhausted. He was basically out of mana too. "Did I pass?" Then he passed out from exhaustion.

Kartia smiled and she clapped happily, "Nice job Bro!" She called.
"Yeah, but damn are you getting a lecture after this!" Gojyo looked a little pissed. apparently the kappa was very angry.
"Why don't you be quiet and eat a cucumber kappa" Konzen frowned and tossed one to Gojyo whom glared and ate the cucumber silently.

"Well. . . Wait, where did Diarmuid-sama go?" Feel noticed the missing evaluation warlock. He sweatdropped.
"Err. . . I better go find that Irish girl before her cousin bites my head off when I get back to England." Dolores went looking.

((Didn't Aoi already tell you what that gun does? >>; Plus he used it before too(way back when everyone met him, when the two alchemcy siblings trapped Penn in a cage) . . Like two shots.))
Feel went to check on Keiryu. He was a bit stunned, "What the hell?" He looked at the gaping hole in Keiryu's hand.
The hole looked like it was made by a small dagger that went down his arm, only a little bit. It didn't hit bone, thankfully.

Er yeah. . . Out cold. He wasn't bleeding that much from the hand though.
"I wonder if that was the noise we heard during the fight."
Dolores came back with a knocked out Irene, "Something wrong?"

"Good. He still needs to know if he passed or not, right?" Dolores looked at Keiryu.

"Now you can summon that damn Servant of yours, legally." Dolores commented bluntly.

"I'll be your instructor this time."
"Eh? Why?" Dolores asked.
She sweatdropped, "I haven't summoned mine either." The next thing she, Irene was being shaken by a frantic Dolores. "AYYEE!!"
"HOW CAN YOU NOT HAVE SUMMONED YOUR SERVANT YET!? YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO SUMMON THEM ONCE YOU'RE IN THE GREEN!!!!"
Irene had the swirly eyed face. "I can hear you just fine . . . . . You trying to turn me deaf?"
Keiryu just. . . backed away from the two.
