Elijah arrived at the island, stepping off the boat and on to the docks. Elijah looked into the sky and noticed it was already dark, so he decided the best option was to try to find somewhere safe to sleep until the morning. The forest loomed in front of him like a nightmare, Elijah was good with direction but this was unknown territory to him and he didn't know what was ahead of him and what dangers that might come. Elijah did love the forest though and as spent time sleeping in trees a few moons ago, so he pulled his lucky coin from his pocket and began flipping it as he walked into the forest looking for a nice place to catch some Z's.

He had done it, after a long battle costing his two last pokeballs, as well as the injuries of his Pokemon, he had finally caught the Cherubi. The victory did indeed bring him closer to his goal of stepping up in the academy since his mission was pretty much done now, but he still had to deal with this whole conflict with his new Cherubi. Picking up the pokeball, he looked into the red part of the pokeball. There, the Cherubi sat as if it wasn't hurt(Though knowing the damage his Purrloin dealt, he knew it must have been a front) giving him a cold glare. He sighed, this Cherubi would definitely be a problem. "Look, I know you probably hate us, but you're on this team now and I could really use your help in surviving at this academy." He paused looking at the Cherubi, who just seemed to huff inside its ball, making Jake roll his eyes. It wasn't shaking around or anything so it must be thinking something.
"I'll call you Forte then, since you seem to be pretty good at battling, and I don't really have any doubt of your healing abilities." Silence, though it wasn't like it could have said something anyway. With another sigh, he slipped the pokeball right onto his belt, before turning to his Rufflet. The bird which was covered in injuries thanks to the Cherubi, looked like it could barely stand. Despite that though, it seemed that the bird was still determined to walk. He smiled, grabbing the bird's pokeball and returning it inside. "Sorry bud, I know how excited you are, but this would be easier on your body, besides I'll need you in here for the Pokecenter anyway." The Rufflet nodded its head inside of the ball, as Jake placed it back onto his belt. With his whole team being out of health, and him out of supplies, it was time for him to return to the boat. Hopefully though, he would be able to find his way to it. (0/3 - Just like you walked to, you must walk from. In other words, you have to walk back to your boat.)
The battle was done ...and it would seem that he was free now to simply head back to the boat. Though the forest would yield no shortcut or simple way of getting back. He would quite simply have to walk back ...just like any normal trainer.

(Ah my bad XD, don't think I ever specifically saw an exiting post when I was checking out how the system worked from "Athena"'s post. Guess I'll be able to make some development for Forte after all. How does the guild's time cycle work anyway?) Jake wandered around the forest, the memory of his journey here being "shown" at in front of from. Even with how dark the forest was, with him looking back at his memories, he should be able to find his way out of here without help of his mons, though if he was attacked again by another Pokemon he would definitely need their help, though the only Pokemon that was really able to help with that wold be his Cherubi, who was not so willing to actually help him. Though he figured with some development and time spent together would take care of that, especially since Jay's and Crystal's relationship was already developing into a love-hate kind of thing. Though considering the cat's personality, it was like his own teasing relationship with a certain girl. He smiled to himself, shaking his head and putting an unrelated memory in the back of his head. (1/3 - Athena, I can't remember if she made it all the way to the end or not. It makes a differences if you travel through all three parts of the island or simply turn around and try to walk back)
This was a dangerous situation for his group as he would start his walk back. Though it wouldn't be to find ....a fight as a Scraggy would practice her kicks against a tree. She wasn't paying him any attention, and unless Jake made it a point to make himself seen or known, he wouldn't gain any sort of attention as the Scraggy simply went through her own paces.

It would work, since the Scraggy had no interest in them at the least. It's eyes were focus simply on it's moves as they disappear into the distances, leaving her far behind them. They were getting closer to the edge of the island, towards escaping this place.

Though it would seem that his luck wasn't all that good as the boy would take one step and feel something squishy underneath his feet. A Sunkern had been sleeping in the moonlight as he would literally step on him. Considering all the foliage around, it was an honest mistake, but the pokemon in question didn't want to be so forgiving ....as it glares at him.
He would turn to face him as his leaves were spread out.
This wasn't going to be a battle he could avoid.

He had only taken a short walk, before he had felt something underneath his feet. His eyes widened for a second, before a groan escaped from his mouth after realizing what it was. The dark brown haired boy jumped back, as a Sunkern popped out, flying in the air obviously angry. He smiled sheepishly at it, before taking off the ball he wanted to grab, chucking it at the Sunkern. His Cherubi, Forte, popped out in a poof of smoke, facing the Sunkern. The cherry-like Pokemon looked around, it's eyes stopping on Jake. He had been sleeping peacefully inside of his pokeball when the human had called for him, and in his current condition. Sure the bird might have been roughed up as well, but he was barely alive enough to actually do anything, if only he had healed...No, he was going to blame himself on this, it was the human and that cat's fault for injuring him in the first place, so why would he do anything to listen to the human? His thoughts brought him back to the Sunkern, making him huff. Well he didn't really want to end up possibly dead, and the human was obviously too dumb to figure himself out of this situation, so it looked like he had no choice but to fight until the end.
The Cherubi stepped closer to the Sunkern, it's body charging up into a white light. As its Trainer shouted the command to heal "Morning Sun."(the Cherubi if he could would roll his eyes), would try charging up it's attack enough hoping it would work. If it did, it should heal him some sort of health, it was just luck and focusing from there. Though the Sunkern had other plans as he would launch himself at him, not in a tackle, but in a surprising move as he made one of the weirdest face in history trying to break the concentration of the pokemon and cause his move to fail all in one move.
It was obvious that his was going to be a very shocking battle.
(Also, the time cycle honestly has never really been worked out here. It tends to stay the same time of day that you arrive at until you get to a new area or .....other things happen. Just realize I never answered that question.)
