Matt and Konna remain unnoticed in a corner, they watch the lizard thing and observe it, they note that their new captain, Shadow, had just entered and that the librarian no longer wanted to kill them, it seems that Tech had taken care of Hex and that incident had been moved past. "So Shadow, guess your our new captain, glad to hear it." Matt smiles.

Xinrie slowly picked her way through the masses of people, her eyes slowly traveled from each face, so far she didn't recognize anyone, that was good. Shrugging her shoulders to loosen the tnesion in them, she glanced back at Rubiks, flashing a smile. "Kinda fun eh? Too bad nothin' new is happening...yet." Her eyes went back to wandering the crowds, nothing unusual, nothing new, nothing big....suspiscious. Hiding in a corner, under a cloak, was a rather shady looking fellow, who kept eyeing something on the people passing by. Stalker's gaze matched his. Ah, money puches. Holding up two fingers she subtly pointed inhis direction, acting as if she were stifling a yawn. She knew Rubiks would get it.

Ike looked utterly uncomfortable. He was the only person who absoloutly had to wear his Mishaps badge, because the wings were just too much. People's large beady eyes, were constantly staring at him, mouths agape. He had tried, smiling and acting like it was nothing, but that plan was given up when a small child began to sob, calling him an evil demon `O doom. "........-sigh-...I shoulda stayed at HQ."

She looked up. Her dull crimson eyes focused on his general area, and her attention brought the others attention to him as well. She bit into her banana and chewed, as if waiting for some introduction from him, she supposed it was kind of eerie and reached for a nacho, she liked them plain though, since they were salty, and chewed the tip.

Azora laughed nervously, she though she was weird..... "Hi, you new right?" she said, trying to break the awkward silence. It seemed so random though, it was as if a blanket has fallen on them, and simotaniously they were all shut up, looks like they were going to get along after all.

(still big writers block)

"Actually, I believe the other new guy is the captain. I dont have a position except for on this team." he replied with a polite bow and a slight smile. He then turned as another team member addressed him.

He bowed politely to tht girls and answered, "Yes, Im new. My name is Shadow Dragon. Its been quit interesting today, and seemingly hectic for most of our team."

I wonder why they think Im the new captain. I think that someone with more experience with the mercinaries, and who has been here much longer than I would be best for the captian. The captain should probably know his squad members, and it would be easier for him/her to lead if they had already worked together for some time.

Brian grinned, as he left the weapons room with his new toy. He weighed the Handgun in his hand. It was black, and completly made out of plastic. He had not that much of a clue on what to look on weapons, but he liked the idea of having allmost no recoil. Plus, he had scored a very funky hip-holder for the gas and the ammo cartridges he had filled with preprogrammed nanites. He grinned, as he let his thoughts roll over the name of the item again.
Marker.
It was something used for paintball, he knew, but he had modified it a bit to fit his own standarts. A little battery pack and his computer calculated the fine stuff like velocity and such, and he had been pretty sure that it could, if he would have insisted on using up a whole cardridge of the highly compressed CO², score a hit from as far as 4000 meters. The nanites were preprogrammed to eat away a hole into the material which was as big as a tank, and could easily be modified. He grinned, and holstered it at his belt. Opening a bottle of his chemically modified mountain dew (he had just stolen a container of the raw stuff from the Caffeteria, before they had added the water), he took a deep sip, and pondered about what to do now. He had officially assigned himself and the Librarian to a Team, which would of course mean a lot more fun in the future. Heck, he had to just find the cap who was their leading officer, and see if he could turn him depressive by standing next to him.
He unbuckled his PDA from his batbelt, and tried to find out where everybody was. He grinned, and remembered the tag he had placed on the new cap, which enabled him to trace his movements pretty much back to a high security holding cell, which according to the camera feeds was also where the Librarian had last been. He sighed, and moved on. Madness ahead.
Brian grinned as he saw the situation. The door of the high security holding cell stood wide open as he moved on, carefull on not to disrupt any one.
The two guards were practically holding each other, and playing the old DADT-game. The Librarian held a big old bag of Nachos, and the rest of the crew just looked as dumb as ever. He keept out of their sights, and moved towards the inhabitant of the cell.
The big lizzard, lying on the ground held by some weird chains seemed to emminate an aura of strangeness. Bound by very strange chains, and for some reason or an other, with some low quality sprayed cheese on its mouth. Carefully looking that everything was allright, and that he was out of its reach, he squatted down, and looked the Lizzard in its eyes.
"Hey there. You must be the lizzard which we were watching earlier. I am Brian, the local technician. Just a rough guess. Just nodd if you understand me, and shake your head if you disagree. You went indoors, prolly because you were looking for food, or for someone to mate with, or you even wanted to join the Organisation. And then, all hell broke loose. People were shooting at you, you were shooting at people, and so on. I am just guessing, so please do not take any offense. So, next thing you know, you are in this room, mainly because some guys in weird robes made a few handmotions and gave you the chains. Mmmmm....."
Triggerfingers, he thought. Friggin triggerfingers.....
"Well, seems a bit unfortunate to me. So, perhaps, if you want to, you could take the first step by simply giving me a sign of understanding, and the next step would be to tell me your side of the story, and we will see from there on what to do and not to do. I mean, I can prolly not let you out of these chains, but I could get you some water, and/or something to eat or play with. So, now would be your turn to explain your view. "
He smiled, and waited. Lizzards, Apes, the captain was right. He could turn any ma....woma..... being into a nice member of his team by simply being friendly and brutlly truthfull. He grinned, and waited for the reptile to answer, or to show at least that it had understood.

The librarian grinned at everybody, and nervously held his nachos in one hand. Buttmonkeys! They just wanted to swipe his nachos, and harass him. One would have been normal, two would have been cool, but right now, 9 persons stood inside the guarded cell, and were busy trying to diminuish his nachos.
He sighed, and thought about which one to kill if he or she or it would make a move after the nachos. They were HIS!!!

Catherine was a bit perturbed; who wouldn't after almost twelve people tried to mug you, in less than five minutes. She knew the disguise was good, but this was ridiculous. At least the thieves were being dealt with accordingly; belted across the head, and tied up with string. Oh, the joys of bashing the bad guys really, really hard.

The town guards had taken the thieves into full custody, and Catherine was feeling good about herself. Now how to find Gene? She still had no idea where he was.

"Oh, so your not captain, i wasn't there, guess what i overheard was incorrect. Hey tech, the offer to have Konna translate for you still stands if you need it." Matt leans back and pulls his hood lower, keeping most of the sun out of his eyes.
(sorry bout that Shadow, I hadn't read that post for a couple of days so I forgot who are new team captain was)
Konna stares and smiles at Tech, then simply lays down with her head on Matt's lap and stares up at the ceiling. 'Hmm, wonder what I can do for fun around here, guess the library when Matt gets a chance, it will be a little interesting at least.

Steven, carefully setting the last box of hollow-tip .45 in a drawer, turned towards the door. Now came the part he looked forward to least. He was gonna have to round up his squad and introduce himself, as well as getting something from them. Probably ire. So understandably, he wasn't altogether too eager. To delay a bit, he shuffled through a few of the office's desk drawers, but didn't find anything terribly interesting; mostly paper. How Steven hated paperwork. It was like getting shot in the foot, except less exciting. And more painful. Darn papercuts.

Sighing, he finally pushed himself out of the dorm room and headed for the stairs, still thinking hard. How was he going to do this? Did they have a public announcement system, or was he gonna have to go around yelling? That wouldn't do at all; he'd have to figure out bit by bit.

First, he knew that he had subconciously overheard a conversation between someone (he didn't remember who) and another person who called themselves Shadow. He hadn't actually seen Shadow, but were he to wander and listen, he would probably encounter the name again.

But before he made it all the way down, he glanced into a corner of the wall. There sat a speaker. A PA system. Beautiful. Perfect, perfect, perfect. After deciding that the computer microphone he had with him would do perfectly, he retraced his steps and returned to the office. Yes, there was another one just in the dorm hallway. That one would do. Grabbing a screwdriver, he pried the panel off, disappeared for a moment, then returned with the microphone.

A moment later, his voice echoed through the room. The sound quality was questionable, but what he was saying was understandable.

"Attention, Phalanx Squad. This is your captain speaking. I'd like you to meet me in my office in... oh, say, fourty seconds. I don't know that any of you know who I am, and I clearly haven't the faintest idea who you are, so I'd really like to get an appreciation of the skills I'm getting out of you people.

"Oh yeah. And if you don't show up, I'll shoot you. Later. Alone." With a chuckle, Steven disconnected the wires and quickly replaced the speaker panel he had removed. First impressions were lovely.

Shadow bowed, "Its ok, simple mistake, I dont mind." Shadow looked over at the ape, it seemed to get defensive all of a sudden. The tech came back in. He was trying not to be noticed for some reason, but he didnt know that Shadow heard him and watched him as he went over to the reptile. Shadow stopped listening to the movements of the tech when he started to talk to the lizard cause he was not going to evesdrop on a team member's conversation. A minute later, their captain came on the intercom system, and ordered them all to report in 40 seconds.

Shadow imidiatly used his meditative skill to locate the captain and his office. He then stated to everyone, "I know where to go, if you all follow me, we can get there at the same time." With that, he left the room, hoping the others would follow. He paused a minute so they wouldnt loose him if they did follow. Then he proceeded down the halls, taking the shortest and quickest path to his captain. He went at a canter like speed, a little faster than a jog, slower than a run. He arived in 35 seconds and stood in the door, a little to the right so that if the team was right behind him, he wouldnt be in the way of their arival.

"Phalanx member, Shadow Dragon, reporting as ordered, Sir." Shadow snapped to attention, saluted, and stated in a louder than normal, yet calm, voice.

[[and Matt, not to worry. It was a mistake that was simple to fix in RP. A mistake that an RPC could make.]]

The commander turned the corner, she now stood right infront of the holding cell's multi-steel framed doors. She was going to go in there, but she could hear Tech 's muttering from inside. He seemed to have things under conrol for now atleast. If anything messy came up , she'd come back.

"....I think I shall have a cup of tea."

Turning upon her heel, she quickly walked back in the direction of her office.

Kairin's eyes flickered in the direction of Xinrie's concealed point. Yup, She'd already tagged one of them....and it looked as if this guy was already loaded with stolen trinkets and baubels. She clasped her hand over her mouth and stifled a fake cough. It was a code for Xinrie that they needed to move through and identify him. Yawns pointed out suspects, and coughs were to tag them. It was a simple yet effecctive way to conduct buissness. Now all she had to do was wait for Xinrie to move in first. After all, she was le cap`eetan. "...."

[[Phalanx team, just so you know, I am not the captain. Sir Bayer, Steven, is the captain. He just called us to his office for a muster. Just a helpful update for any that missed or misread the previous posts]]

Matt and Konna get up and follow Shadow to their captains office. Once inside Matt salutes. "Phalanx member, Matt Flame and Konna, reporting for duty." He waits to be told to be at ease as was done in the military. Konna just smiles and curtsies as Steve looks at her.

(NO not quite yet but I expect to soon, I'm gonna help the cause out)

Azora scratched her head a little. "Sooo... has anyone else realized the Phalanx team has been called to the new head cheese's office, and if we're late he's going to shoot us? I mean, that guy left already you know...." she asked, scanning the room, no one seemed to really care all too much, not that she can blame them, he didn't grab respect like Eva did, not that he would even be able to shoot her. She highly doubted it anyway. Leaning on the wall, examining Phalanx, she realized how much the Phalanx team has changed, but she wished that it was more like it was before, the same playful but serious atmosphere she really missed.

Azora licked her first finger and thumb clean of salt, now with her free hand she juggled the large gun better, though it was much lighter than people thought. 'Shouldn't we go? He did call us and he is the captain now.....'
