9-Lives "Methral weapons work th ebest but sence the dwarves left there isn't anyone skilled enough to work the metal. We haven't had any good weapond for a long time now. I took this from my dad before coming here." "Well... just who is your dad?" Focht was curious how the girl had come by something that was considered priceless in their kingdom.

*Than moves along the side of the bed, closer to Kai. His right arm wraps around her upper arm and his right hand rests on the hair hanging behind Kai's neck, stroking it very slightly. His left arm is around her waist, as he holds her in a close hug. Her face and hands are resting on Than's collar bone* Kaiori-san.... Let me help you. Tell me what you're feeling..... what you feel in your heart. It's okay to feel sad.... just let your feelings out....

She winced as he threw her own words back at her. She didn't mean to offend anyone.
"No I realy don't think that. I just thought at first that you wouldn't help without the weapons. But I'm not sure how far back it was."
((in 9's notes she talked about a teacher called Goblin.))

If anything, your reluctance to come here for help should get some up off their couches to help..... If not, I will go with you on my own if prior engagements don't keep me." Focht could see she was just as young as she looked, and had just about the right level of experience.

*He shakes his head* Iie.... Kaiori-san you're wrong. Sadly, the truth is not everyone can be helped...... not everyone can be happy. But Kaiori-san you can't let one person or thing dominate your whole life. It's true.... you can't help everyone, nor can I. But just look back at your life Kaiori-san..... even if there are pained memories, you've made a lot of people smile and you've inspired so many. Most of those people are your friends. *He looks at the window* I don't care what the clan, Gabriel, the temple, or anyone else say. I haven't given up on you Kaiori-san.... because, no matter how sad you became, you still had the heart to care for others. And I know the happiness you gave didn't come from some power. It didn't come from your sword, your gun, your training, or even from the fact that you were an angel. You were able to do what you did because you are Kaiori....... no matter how many times your blood may change or what powers you get..... you're still Kaiori at heart..... that's what allowed you to get this far.......

I won't force you to help us with our own problems here. Besides, its been quiet. I managed to get a week straight without being bothered." Focht shrugged, not wanting her to get caught in the middle of some of the current conflicts. "Oh.... By the way, I noticed you had been running from something earlier. What or who was it?" Focht smiled and looked at Matsuo. "Welcome back...."

"I.. um.. saw a vampire. It scared me so I ran."

*He smiled sincerely. Letting his head down a bit, his nose rested gently on her hair* How could I? I've seen myself the miracles you've made.... the people who've smiled just because you were there. No one's asking you to be perfect..... it's impossible to be that. But you still tried harder than anyone else. Maybe you can't make everyone smile. Maybe you can't lift every burden. Maybe you can't change the world and the hearts of its people. But that doesn't mean you can't try...... it's because you tried that you made so many people smile. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. You have made people happy Kaiori-san..... and you're not worthless....not at all. I really do mean that.....You're a wonderful angel and an even better person....

She said, stumbling though her words as she spoke. "If you stay around here, you will see everything from angels, atleast I think there is still an angel around, to demons...... Vampires to Lycanthropes...... just a bit of advice, if it scares you, don't move until it comes for you. Otherwise you just draw attention." Focht smiles, showing her his extended K-9's. "Besides..... I am a different creature of the night from Vamps.... but thats what makes the BC so good... its diversity."
