Para: You're lucky you get to live by Disneyland. But I guess I should talk, I live like an hour away from Wisconsin Dells and I never go there. But I hate water slides and stuff.

I have some patience for kids...but only 3 and under. After that and they start talking back and all that stuff I just don't anymore. Like my cousin. He's 9 years old and he's been annoying me ever since he could talk. But he's family, so I kinda can't say no.

O.O It's going up to 20%?! Seriously?! I so did no know that, no wonder my parents hate Obama! Oh, sorry if political comments are like, against the rules or something...

Well, I don't pay attention to the ends of their words. I don't really listen. Also, I don't read manga or anything else Japanese related, so I don't see the difference. They just both sound like Eastern country languages.

Ooo let's see, favorite dish...well, I love too many foods...but I think tacos or something Mexican related would be my favorite. I love the spiciness that is the Mexican food smile .

Minerva: So wait, do you still post in the Gryffindor common room? Or are you all Ravenclaw now?

I can kind of relate to that, I had an old account on here and I was a Gryffindor, but I took the test again and I'm a Ravenclaw now. I personally think I should've been in Ravenclaw from the start, but oh well. I'm here now, so that's awesome.

Well, I didn't know EVERYTHING about them was the same. Yeah, they look alike and act alike, but I always thought there were differences between father and son. I didn't know their only difference was the color of their eyes. Unless I completely missed something and James's eyes were green too.

Well, I don't have it yet...I'm just saying if I ever do get one. But it was just kind of out on a whim thing, so I may change it, who knows?

Oooo I love your favorite foods! Steak is amazing!
PostPosted: Tue Jun 16, 2009 12:46 pm

You sure do love potatoes! I try not to eat so many potatoes because I don't want to gain weight. I have problems maintaining my weight, my mom says its because I work out alot with my boyfriend and muscle weighs more than fat so that is why on the scale my weight hasn't changed much.

I don't like water slides that much, I live much closer to Sea World, San
Diego Zoo and the Wild animal park.

I love kids but I hate it when they become bratty! whee

Its cool that minerva you want to become a elementary school teacher, I wouldn't have the patience for that.

I love grilled salmon, and all types of vegetables (except mushrooms ::bleh: smile and fruits. Steak has to be medium well done for me, I hate the thought of rare meat.

I love asian food and Kineka I agree with you on loving the spicyness.

I should eat lunch because I have a doctor and dentist appointment at 2.

Kineka, I don't post in the Gryffindor common room anymore. I talk to the Gryffs in the Great Hall. 3nodding

I hate spicy food; it burns my mouth and throat, and makes my stomach hurt. Mexican food is my least fave. Japan and Italy are the countries that I think make the best dishes! biggrin

Para, salmon is definitely my favourte fish! heart

Most kids are nice to the teachers at a young age because they want the praise. I don't have the patience for toddlers, but older kids can go to the toilet and tie shoes on their own, so all is good! whee Keep them away from me once they hit puberty, though! I do NOT want to deal with the attitude. xp
PostPosted: Wed Jun 17, 2009 6:06 am

Para: I hate water slides...I hate losing control on...basically any type of slide. Pretty much ever since I went on The Giant Slide when I was like, 5, and I came down crying and everyone laughed at me except my mom and aunt. -shivers- I've never been on a slide since.

Sea World, the Zoo, and Wild Animal Park are cool though. I love the zoo, I'd go every nice day there is if I could. It sucks that the art classes at my school got to go to the zoo for a field trip...I wanted to go -pouts-.

Yeah, in my mind, kids become bratty at about 3 or 4 when they can talk. They're cute and fun when they're younger than that, as long as tantrums aren't common. The kids I babysat for were pretty good, they never really had tantrums around me and they loved me, so they were good around me.

Mushrooms are awesome! They're like, my favorite vegetable! Oh and fruits are awesome, I'd eat half my weight in them if I could biggrin .

I've never had Asian food...I've had Chinese, Japanese, Mexican, Italian, Spanish...but not Asian, wow. That's kind of pathetic. But I know, isn't spiciness AWESOME?! I just had a jalapeno and cheese hot dog yesterday. It leaves a bad after taste, but it was really good smile .

Minerva: Oh, okay. Well, that's good that you have friends from other Houses.

It's supposed to burn, that's kinda the point razz . I tend to like Chinese food better than Japanese, only because sushi makes me puke. Italian food is amazing, though.

Salmon is good! biggrin . Although cod is my favorite fish...but I love fish in general, I'll eat anything sea-related.

I don't have patience for toddlers when they're not raised right. If they're raised to respect people and not to have tantrums, then I'm fine with them. I don't mind changing diapers, honestly. It's gross, yeah, but it's just part of life. And the kids I've babysat for have velcro shoes, but when they have laces, they've been good when I had to tie them. But I'm with you on the puberty thing. Puberty was hard enough living, let alone babysitting. Although I'm still probably driving my parents crazy, but at least I leave them alone.

I haven't been to a water park in ages. I really want to go down a water slide now! exclaim

I like Chinese food as well. I just like Japanese better because their veggies are to die for! razz

Kineka, Chinese and Japanese foods ARE Asian. You're not missing anything if you never tried food from other Asian countries. Some food from India is okay, but I dislike most of it, and Korean food is terrible.

Cod is good. I like tuna and flounder, too. Salmon has simply always been my favourite.

Yeah, toddlers that behave poorly mean that they weren't raised right. I don't blame parents if they have teenagers that act out because that could be due to outside influence, but little kids being brats mean that they have rubbish guardians. stare
PostPosted: Wed Jun 17, 2009 12:23 pm

I've only had Japanese food like, once. But it was more Chinese than anything else, so I don't really count it. Chinese food is amazing though, I looove egg rolls, fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and Crab Rangoon. Yummy!

Oh, right, duh. Sorry, blonde moment there. I don't think I've tried anything from any other Asian countries...but you seem to have good taste in food, I'll take your word for it.

Tuna is gross. I'm sorry, but unless it's in my mom's tuna noodle casserole, I won't go near it. I don't know about flounder though...Salmon is amazing, though.

Yeah. It's weird, I always watch Nanny 911 and Supernanny and think "How can these parents be so stupid?! Even I know what they're doing wrong!"

Wow! I've had japanese food since I was like 6 years old, so I love it. I'm not very fond of the extreme sushi but the rest is alright. Right Turayza, they have very delicious vegetables.

When kids act bad its when their parents aren't around enough to teach them good values.

Salmon is amazing! I like tuna in sandwiches and stuff like that, not to eat a whole fish or anything. I'm wary around fish, the smell gets me.

I got this great nail manicure thing that has a tip on the end that you make designs like flowers and stuff like that. I made a gold and black leopard print.

I gave my mom pretty flowers. I'll give myself a new design every day, its so awesome! whee

I'm so glad that I'm going to be able to hang out with two of my closest friends from high school today!
PostPosted: Thu Jun 18, 2009 11:57 am

Kineka, you're blonde? I thought your hair was purple! lol Actually, that light shade of purple hair/eyes looks very nice with your avi's tan skin. 3nodding I have very, very light blonde curly hair in real life.

Para, I like fingernails to look pretty. 4laugh I don't polish my nails because it comes off too quickly, but I keep them strong and well-shaped. I used to get compliments on them all of the time, but I had to cut them for karate class, so even though they still look healthy they aren't long anymore.

Parents that let their kids get out of control are either too weak to say "no" or too lazy to watch them.

Para: Extreme sushi...or well, any kind of sushi...is horrible...I tried it once at Sam's Club, never touched it again.

Or their parents don't know how to take care of their kids. My mom took classes on parenting, she knows what she's doing. But someone who just wants to be their kid's friend and not their parent are the ones that have kids that grow up to be obnoxious jerks. Parents need to discipline, not befriend.

I love fishies! biggrin Not the ones that swim around in tanks, those are just boring. The cooked ones biggrin .

Ooo that sounds awesome! I used to have this nail thing where it had the brush on one end and this pointer tip thing on the other end, so you can make designs and stuff with it. It was really cool, but I have no clue where it went...I should find it one of these days.

Oh, that's cool! You're lucky that you still have friends from high school. I hope I have that too. I don't want to be one of those people that lose all contact with friends as soon as school's over. My parents are like that and let me tell ya, they need lives BAD. My dad will be off for like, the next week, but all he's been doing is sleeping in his chair. Ugh...I'd do anything to get him out of the house and to the bar or something.

Minerva: Haha, no. I'm brunette in real life. And thank you! I just randomly picked it because purple is one of my favorite colors. I would've done blue, but I don't wanna turn into my friend Haley (all she wears is blue, it's getting obsessive). Your hair isn't so light it's white, is it? I pass through so many white-heads in one day at school than I want to, and they look like total bitches. Please pardon my French 3nodding .

Dude, you're lucky you can even HAVE long nails. My mom makes me cut them before they're even a quarter of an inch long.

Minerva, I swear, we share a mind smile . Well, in a through-the-computer-never-met-in-real-life kind of way 3nodding .

I completely agree, and sometimes it's the children who just don't care to remember what their parents tell them about public behavior when they aren't around them. That gets on my nerves.

20% in taxes isn't that much... o.O Here if we don't have a tax-card, it's up to 50%. If you earn less than so and so, you don't pay taxes at all. And how many % taxes you have to pay here a year, depends on how high your salary is. The higher the salary, the higher % of taxes. razz 20% isn't much in Norway.

By the way, I'm in Oslo now! biggrin It's really fun! I've already spend.... 400 dollars in two days. Whoooooopie! My cousin and uncle are at work, so when we're actually in the apartment, we're alone. So we read manga, watch tv and play on my cousins xBox! We're going out on a store-hunt later though. Neo-Tokyo, where are you?

You're quite a good Head of House Minerva, so I can see why LHH choose you! biggrin

It's a pity that after the cons this weekend, we only have one day left till we're leaving. And that day will be spent on the Amusement Park in Oslo.

Wow. Blondes and Brunettes. Sounds like a really bad movie. xD I'm caught up inbetween. I'm dirty blonde. razz Well, at the moment. I'm dark purple-haired. They should invent a word for that... Purplettes? I dunno...

Eh, I'm too lazy to look through everyones posts at the moment... We're leaving soon so.. razz I'll try to check in later too.

Edit:

Tomorrow is the yaoicon! I'm so excited!

And I've bought myself some awesome clothing. And I'm getting MORE tomorrow. biggrin Dad is buying. I LOVE Neo-Tokyo. They have sum' awesome clothing. biggrin

Well, going to bed now. We're getting up early in the morning to get the pre-show tickets that will only be sold 140 of.

See ya! biggrin

Kineka, that’s interesting. I usually find that girls with medium-blonde hair are unpleasant; not light blonde. My hair is definitely blonde and not white, but it’s such a light shade that when I’m old I don’t doubt that my hair will turn white instead of grey, which is nice. When I was a baby, my hair was sooo light that you couldn’t see it, so I looked bald! lol

Blue is my favourite colour ,too. I kind-of always wanted to TEMPORARILY die my hair light blue so I could be a bluenette. rofl I recently got into an anime called DN Angel, and my favoruite character in it has blue hair, so in a lot of fan fics they call him a bluenette. xd

Your mum won’t let you grow out your nails? That’s pretty outrageous. Kids with parents that are that controlling tend to get reckless once they get to university because they’ve been oppressed for so long they don’t know how to handle the new freedom. Being too strict is as bad as no discipline.

Kitsune, one of my close friends died her hair purple. It looked cool, but it dried out her hair. sad

Aw, thanks! whee I’m glad that you think I’m a good HoH.

I heart clothes like that; you’re so lucky! Glad you’re having fun!

Umi, I’m glad I don’t have children yet and don’t have to worry about it! exclaim

Kitsune: Well, you did say that taxes in Norway are high. But for us, it's a lot. And considering that our economy is going down the tubes, it's even more. We owe over 100,000,000 million dollars or something like that in debt to other countries.

Oh, that's cool! Wow...I'd be lucky if I spent $20 in 2 days. Neo-Tokyo? o.O What's that?

Purplettes, haha! That's funny.

Oh, I bet you're excited for yaoicon. I still need to find one of those over here...maybe it'll get me into anime somehow...

Clothes! Coolio! Although I'm more for books and music myself, I'm still a girl, haha.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Minerva: My best friend has medium-blonde hair...she's not unpleasant. I know plenty of people that are, though. None of them are really bitches or anything. Well, okay one is...but she's more honey-blonde. And my hair's actually getting darker...I looked into the mirror in a bathroom at the mall once, and it looked almost black...kind of like Miranda Cosgrove's. I think we'd have like, the most contrasting hair colors if we'd ever compare.

Haha niiice. I've never wanted to completely dye my hair another color, but I'd like to get like, purple streaks or something. But my hairdresser says red streaks would look good...and my mom says sure, as soon as I can pay for them smile .

Well, she just doesn't want me to have an ingrown nail if they get too long. She's not controlling, she's actually pretty easy-going. She lets me go out during the day if I'm home alone if I want, I can ask and she'll go shopping with me, stuff like that. She just doesn't let me like, go out with someone she doesn't know until she's talked to an authority figure, it has to be planned, and she has to know all the normal stuff, like who's all coming, where we're going, when we'll be back, and she always reminds me to take my phone and key with me just in case. She's more of a protective parent than anything. But she lets me listen to whatever I want, dress however I want (as long as I'm covered, which is no problem for me), she doesn't care that I spend more time on the computer or reading than I do anywhere else....So basically, she's not too strict, just protective.

That's why I don't dye my hair too often. There are people I know who've dyed their hair so much it looks like they never wash it. It's disgusting. It's not worth it...I've just learned to be happy with my natural color.

You are a good HoH smile .
PostPosted: Sat Jun 20, 2009 2:17 pm

Ah, but it isn't PURPLE purple. More like just... Purple highlights. razz It's not something that tears more on your hair than any other colour. We actually don't have those kinds of hair dyes in Harstad... Except if you bleach it. razz

Wow. That's a lot of dept! I dunno if Norway is in dept or not.. :/

I was really excited! The fanservice was AWESOME. If someone puts the videos on youtube, I'll be sure to link'em to you.

After the con we went to J-Rock Night. The band was incredible! They were a cover band from Denmark, and they sung some of my favorite songs from Dir en Grey! biggrin 'twas really fun! Damn I've never screamed, jumped or waved my hand that much! xD

Same here actually. This is the FIRST time I've been interested in buying clothes with my own money! biggrin

I am. xD Of course, me'n Silje just argued. Pretty annoyed with her because she didnt want to spend 12 - 14 more dollars on going to the Amusement Park. Personally I think she's just grumpy because my dad is paying for me, but not for her.. <.<;

She also owes me over 100 dollars. most of them from several months ago, and the last from just today, when we had to order a taxi and I paid. our other friend gave me her share, but my other refuses untill we're home and she has received her paycheck! It's freaking annoying! I need those money NOW, Not LATER. <.<

Bah, but what can you do. We're actually going to the amusement park without her... My Danish friend has never been there and really wants to go, and I'd already agreed with my father that we would go, so we're not going to let her greedy "I want more manga" attitude get in our way.

Last time I borrow her money, I swear.

I'm actually sceptic I'll even GET the money now, because it's just a few months untill the next time we're going down to Oslo again on another convention... ><

What to do, what to do?

Oooo cool. Purple highlights are awesome smile . Eww bleaching your hair...that just damages it more.

We probably owe you guys money from some war we fought in the past. We owe money to so many other countries, I lost track.

Cool, videos!

J-Rock Night...sounds interesting to be happening in Norway...but cool anyway. Oh come on, you're SUPPOSED to scream, jump, and wave your hands at concerts! It's just what you do smile .

Haha usually my mom buys my clothes. Or I just don't shop unless I really need something.

Over $100?! Wow, I'd never talk to my friend again if they owed me that much money! Or well, at least until they pay it back, that is.

Well...if she doesn't have the money until she gets paid, it's not her fault. She might not be able to get it to you right away if she doesn't get the money until she gets home...

Well, that's good. At least you're not letting her spoil your good time.

Well, how about you don't take her? You already went to the amusement park without her, I think you can go somewhere else without her too.

Omg, I'm watching The Sorcerer's Stone! biggrin
