Kilik hovered around the mouth of the volcano as everyone sent out their Flying Pokemon, keeping one hand the back of Bahamut's neck and another on one of Mitsu's hands that were around his waist. Keegan shot up into the sky on a rather formidable looking Skarmory, and a slight pang of jealousy shot through him. It's magnificent, he thought, Bahamut taking another lap around the volcano's rim. I wonder if I should get one? I do love Steel-types. He scratched his nose and looked down.

"What?" he raised an eyebrow as Kasiya and Sasha flew up on another Flygon. "When did...?" he looked down at Bahamut then over to Kasiya's Flygon. There's no way. Have I really been away from everyone so long that she had the time to raise a Flygon to the level we're going to be dealing with today? Impossible.

She was examining the other Flygon intently, just as curious about it as her Master. She let out a small whine, suddenly not feeling so special. She'd never seen one of Master's friends with a member of her species. That made her feel like one of a kind. But everything was better when Master gave her a kiss on her cold, scaly skin.

"You're still the best Flygon in my book, Bahamut." He held tightly on to her when she flapped her wings excitedly and shot off after Nitro. "We're off!"

Mazarin sat in the room, humming to himself. He could hear a lot of people outside. At least, there was a commotion. The boy stuck his face against the window to try and get a good look as to what was going on, but he couldn't see anything. Then he heard a loud scream and a girl asking for help. "HNNNNG!!" Mazarin shot out of his room like a bullet and ran down the hallway, shoving people out of his way. Banette billowed out of its Pokeball like smoke and formed beside his trainer, looking at him.

"I heard a fair maiden scream, Banette! Let's go!" He skidded outside and listened a little closer. He could hear struggling off in the distance. He grabbed a hold of another one of his partner's PokeBall and slunk along. He could see two figures struggling. That had to be it!

"Hey dillweed!" he called out to the assailant, "Mazarin Stanky, of TEAM! You let her go! Comply, or face arrest! Or both!" he couldn't tell exactly who it was the man was grappling. When he failed to comply, Mazarin tossed the Pokeball in his hand. It opened mid air and his Shuckle materialized mid-air and was flying like a rocket, slamming right into the attacker's temple. "AWWWW YEAH!"

Miharu glanced around as so far only Sam and the redhead's Pokemon had been sent out. She hadn't been surprised to see the diva of a Marshtomp, and she idly wondered how well Star would work alongside a Pokemon that wasn't normally part of Sam's team. "Nice to meet you, Jasper, and Jett," she said, nodding to them each in turn. "My name is Miharu, and my friend here is Sam." She glanced at Scarlet almost expectantly as he had yet to introduce himself, her gaze flickering from the Quilava to the Gastly. A Ghost-type, she thought, smiling lightly. After bringing down Morty's Pokemon, this should be simple. However, she didn't plan to underestimate the Gastly.

She looked down at the Pokeball in her hands and tucked a stray lock of green hair behind her ear. "All right, Mori, you're up," she said, gently tossing the sphere to the ground in front of her. The Ponyta appeared in a flash of light and fire, her flaming mane and tail dancing in the slight breeze. She pawed the ground and whinnied softly as she looked around, a little surprised to find herself on the same side as Star. She whinnied again and flicked her tail, eager to show her stubborn teammate what she was cabable of.

"Whenever you're ready, Jett," Miharu said, nodding politely.

A Ponyta is gonna be troublesome... Jett thought as he eyed the pretty fire horse. Then, his eyes darted to Miharu and he realized he was the only one who didn't have his Pokemon out. "Right. Sorry," he said with a sheepish grin. His index finger gingerly touched the button on the Pokeball, which sprung open and the silhouette darted forward out to the field. "Let's give it our all, Aerosmith."

The Beautifly gave the field a sweeping glance. It appeared to be a double battle; he remembered seeing some in the forest a while back. Who was his partner-- "Fly!" You certainly look excited, he grumbled to Terumi, an equal amount of malice radiating from the Butterfly-Pokemon.

"...So uh," Jett began awkwardly, looking around, "who goes first...?"
PostPosted: Sun Nov 07, 2010 11:22 am

Sam was surprised by her opponents. A Gastly...and a Beautifly? At least she thought it was a Beautifly, she hadn't met too many Hoenn Pokemon. Sam thought about Star's typing. She was only weak to Grass, which she was sure the Beautifly had. Then again, Miharu had Mori, whose Fire attacks could take care of that. That mostly left Sam to deal with the Gastly. She knew that they had Hypnosis, which she loathed.

'This should be interesting,' she thought. Seeing that Jett didn't seem to really know what to do, Sam took the lead. She didn't actually know if it was her turn or not, but she wouldn't let Jett or Scarlet know that. Or Jasper.

"Miharu, can you take care of the Beautifly? Star can handle the Gastly, but that Beautifly could be trouble. But Mori's Fire moves should do the trick." Sam worried that she was overstepping her boundaries, but she needed to do something. She knew that Gastly was weak to Dark type, as well as Psychic and Ghost, and Star's Bite should do that trick. "Star, use Bite on that Gastly!" Star looked at her trainer as if she was insane. Bite that incorporeal nothingness? Star folded her arms, unwilling to comply. "Star, just trust me!" Star rolled her eyes. If it would get Sam off her back...She leaped forward, fangs bared. If this did hit, Star hoped it would hurt.

The Gastly let out an audible groan when he saw a butterfly released from the pokeball. He figured maybe that Jett guy liked emasculating everyone he beat in battle by destroying them with pretty insects and telekinetic dancers.

“Huh. It totally isn’t a Butterfree…” Scarlet noted to himself outloud before remembering that bite would be super effective. “Oh boy. Terumi! Dodge it, then counter with Hypnosis!”

And, as Terumi darted to the right, narrowly avoiding jaws of absolute death from the rather odd frog-like pokemon, his eyes took on a deep red tint. He continued movement, circling around the Marshtomp’s side, and releasing a psychic spray of rings from his eyes that would, very hopefully, put the Marshtomp to sleep.

“…Oh. Right. Sorry. Forgot to introduce myself!” With a sheepish smile, he waved to his opponents. “I’m Scarlet! Nice to meet you guys!”

In the meantime, Cindy tugged on Scarlet’s pants leg, nodding toward the not-so-great battle pairing of Aerosmith and Ponyta. They really had to switch opponents, or this wasn't gonna end well at all.

There wasn't much Roxanne could do against Ghos' Night Shade, and she watched with a stoic expression as her Onix was subjected to the ghostly attack. He shivered a bit and slammed his large tail heavily against the ground, giving ground shaking roar to show that he was far from being taken down just yet.

"That's one scary Night Shade," Roxanne commented, her hair still being tousled by the whipping winds. "But we're not through yet! Onix, slow 'em down with a Rock Tomb," she commanded. Again, the mighty rock snake lifted his tail and smashed it into the ground, not at all bothered by the vicious sandstorm that continued to rage all around him. Jagged rocks shot up out of the earth and sped towards their ghostly target with the intent to harm and slow him down.

About an hour or so later, Riza stepped out of the salon feeling refreshed, energized, and rather good about herself in general. Her raven hair flowed down her back and shoulders in waves, and as she stopped to admire herself in a shop window, she knew she looked the part of a contest champion. 'This contest is mine,' she thought, striking a pose and blowing a kiss to her grinning reflection. 'I just hope Shiro isn't a sore loser about it." She smiled at the thought of her tall, blonde-haired companion, knowing that she wouldn't have come this far without his help. He'd given her plenty of good advice, though she really wished he'd take better care of himself. "Where is he?" she asked aloud, looking down at her watch. "It's getting closer to the start of the contest."

She headed back to the pokecenter since it wasn't too far away from the contest hall, Eris having once again chosen to exit her poke ball. Riza was contemplating the idea of finding the Quilava a trickier to escape poke ball when she heard a familiar voice nearby. Eris' ears perked up and she trotted ahead, the pores on her head and tail flickering with slight flames as she and her trainer came upon a battle. Riza was a little surprised to see the meek girl from before, Amy, doing battle with a rather grumpy looking man. Her cute little Wooper had just finished teaching the man's Spearow a lesson in acrobatics, and Riza glanced down at Eris and smiled. "That little guy's got spirit, I like him," she said, the Quilava nodding in agreement.

The bird keeper seemed to realize then that using flying-type attacks like peck against the electric-type Elekid wouldn't be a good thing, so she quickly decided to change her strategy. "Hooty, use Hypnosis on the Elekid! And Chatty, try to sing the Buizel to sleep!"

"Ugh, no!" Katie grumbled, quickly pointing at the Hoothoot. "Kord, zap it with a Thundershock!" she cried, but it was too late. An eerie, crimson glow shone in the little owl Pokemon's eyes, and before he could even began to generate a spark of electricity, Kord slumped to the ground, fast asleep just as the Chatot started to trill an enchanting melody. As Katie scrambled for a command for Miles, the Buizel had already chosen to take matters into his own paws.

"Bui bui!" he cried, taking two steps forward and jumping, using his left hind leg to spring into the air. His orange body twisted sharply, whipping his twin tails around in a slashing motion that created a blast of wind that headed right for the singing Chatot. 'Sonic Boom to block out the sound of the Sing,' Katie thought, once again amazed at her Pokemon's cleverness.

Mitsu held on tightly, her arms wrapped securely around Kilik's waist. Bahamut was a beautiful Flygon and like everyone else Mitsu noticed that she was not the only one around. Somehow Kasiya had obtained one of the Ground-Dragon Pokemon, so rare and whose home belonging in that of her own home region: Hoenn. Curiously, Mitsu guessed that it must have been a borrowed Pokemon, though from who she couldn't imagine. There was no way that Kasiya could have gotten a Flygon through training a Trapinch in such a short amount of time.

She needed a flier of her own, she thought, and made a mental note to train Zypher when she got the chance. The Pidgeotto still disliked her though, very much so. Maybe she could trade him for another Pokemon, the two had not really formed a friendly bond, no matter how hard Mitsu worked at it. He was such an arrogant Pokemon.

Anyways, Mitsu thought, she was getting off topic. Her mind must be rambling, trying to fill the vaccum that was her brain with useless and distracting thoughts. There was no backing out of this fiasco anymore. The purple haired girl closed her eyes, wishing for the best and for the safety of her friends. If anything, she would be there to heal them when they got hurt. She'd be useful, somehow.

'Scarlet, Jett, Sam, Miharu,' Jasper thought, looking to each individual as he mentally repeated their names, though he wasn't sure why he was bothering to commit them to memory. He'd only stopped to ask the two girls for directions to New Bark Town, which he'd gotten, and then these two other kids had shown up seemingly out of nowhere. The bandanna-clad youth and his Pikachu stepped back to give the group adequate room to have their battle, and he leaned against a tree, once again wishing he had a Pokedex as the four Pokemon each made their entrances.

'Weird blue fish thing, a horse that's been set on fire, a rather pissy looking butterfly, and oh, a Gastly! I know that one,' Jasper thought, listening carefully for the names of the other Pokemon he didn't know. "This should be interesting," he mused as the blue fish thing named Star raced forward, officially beginning the double battle. "Watch them carefully, we might end up facing them in the future so it's best if we know what we could be up against."

"Chu," Ditto replied earnestly, watching the four Pokemon intently as he was quite eager to learn from them..

Train was choking on her own sobs now, losing hope but still trying as hard as she could to break free. She wasn't very strong, though, and had little to no chance against her captor. The man was now pulling one of her arms tightly around her back as she tried to twist herself in the opposite direction and relieve the pressure he was putting on it, but his other arm was holding her decently in place.

He seemed about ready to snap her arm when suddenly someone was yelling in their direction, and shortly after there was a loud crack as something made contact with the man's skull. He let out a loud, surprised grunt of pain and his grip on Train loosened, allowing her to slip free from his grasp and bolt away, though honestly she had no direction where she was going, and now that she was free the thing that kept coming into her mind was,
I have to find my Pokémon.

Mike's jaw shook as he wiped the now hardened crust from his mouth; the price of his revival was never more present. He cursed, stopping himself before he accidentally punched Nitro's back in anger. "No, it's not Nitro's fault." he said to himself. "It never is." Mike leaned forward, feeling as though he had just thrown up all of his energy. His abhorrent lack of sleep must have been catching up with him. Nitro craned his long neck to look at his trainer, concern in his eyes.

"Oh Nitro." Mike said, rubbing the dragon's neck. "I'm fine. Or at least, as fine as you can control. There is nothing you can do for me right now except fly. We can take a small rest when we swing by Blackthorn, then we can go home." The boy smiled. "Home." he said again. "We get to see her again, buddy. We get...we..." he trailed off. The very thought of seeing Flannery again brought his heart so much joy, but also carried a terrible pain. He was covered in cuts and bruises, his hair was a mess, he had a giant scar running across his forehead, and his eyes were now almost wide and dilated. He looked at his hands, which shook with nervous tension and radiated intense heat. The possibility that he would never be able to feel his beloved's soft skin with his bare hands ever again was something he didn't even want to think about. "How ironic. How miserably appropriate." he said with a slight laugh. "For her to take me back, but I can not touch her without burning her. It's almost poetic in its cruelty."

Mike continued to talk to himself about his amusingly depressing situation as Nitro continued to fly over the ocean. Soon the group found themselves soaring over Johto. Mike realized that aside from the Cherry Blossom Festival, he had never really spent much time in the region. He had ridden by it on train and on Nitro many times, but that was it. "Maybe when all this is over, I'll steamroll the gyms in this place, too."

After some more flying, Mike saw the familiar sight of Blackthorn in the distance. "Let's land right by the Center and rest for a few minutes. We're almost there."

Nitro stiffened his wings and began making wide circles in the air as he began his descent, and after a few moments, the two touched down safely. Mike hopped down from Nitro and put his back to the Pokemon Center wall and slid down. Now that the wind wasn't making him feel sick, he had the unfortunate clarity to remind him that his body was still mangled and nearly broken. Nitro sat down beside his trainer and wrapped his long tail around him, extending his wings and wrapping them around Mike to protect him from the wind and keep him warm.

------

Sasha couldn't help but giggle at Kasiya's reaction. The sight of her red face completely got rid of any anxiety she had, and soon she was back to her old, flirtatious self. The pink haired girl held onto her beret as they flew. While she did enjoy the wind in her face, she shuddered to think what her hair would look like when they landed. Experience told Sasha that she would need a mirror and a side room, immédiatement.

Sasha and Kasiya flew in relative comfort, Sasha making sure to keep track of Nitro's flaming tail in the distance and shooting the occasional silly or sultry face at Keegan when they passed by him. "Watch z'his." Sasha said to Kasiya as she unbuttoned one of her top buttons and leaned to the side, accidentally baring a small bit of sexy cleavage to the boy and giggling at his reaction.

After a few more jokes and Keegan's expense, the girls saw Mike and Nitro start to drop in a nearby city and soon followed suit. Sasha stepped down from the adorable dragon and thanked it for the ride so far as she stretched out. Flying on a Pokemon with another was an easy way to get a stiff back. Sasha took a quick moment to pull out a mirror and straighten out her hair and unfolded the headband on her beret before putting it back on. The extra cling would help keep her hair from completely frizzing up on the last part of the flight.

A few moments later, Keegan and his noisy Skarmory landed beside them. Sasha cringed as it drew near. Not only was the Pokemon itself loud, but whenever it flapped its wings it scrapped and ground together, making a horrible noise. She didn't remember that boy's Skarmory making that awful of a noise when she fought alongside Keegan in Jubilife. "Hey Keegan." she said, walking up to him. "Avez-vous une cigarette?" she paused, noting the boy's confused expression. She drew two fingers to her mouth and pursed her lips. "A smoke?"

"Great job Shuckle!" Mazarin said, recalling his Pokemon and attaching the ball to his belt. The trainer approached the man that had held his victim and knelt down, using his PokeNav as a flashlight. He was knocked out cold. He stood up straight and dug around in his bag, finding some zip-ties. "Make shift handcuffs!" he laughed, placing the man's two wrists together behind his back. He zipped them together tightly, then looked around. He saw the 'victim' running towards the light of town.

"Hey!" Mazarin called out, "Wait up!" Banette hovered next to his trainer and gave a hissing sort of laugh. Banette had followed the victim within her shadow and made sure she was worth helping. It was that girl Maz had just recently made friends with. At least, Mazarin's definition of friend. The Ghost-type patted the gray haired boy on the shoulder. Maz ran after her once more, staying eternally the same distance away because of his short legs.

Jett groaned inwardly, watching the exchange between the Marshtomp and the Gastly. He exchanged a glance with Aerosmith, and they both focused on Ponyta. Type advantages won't stop us so easily! "Okay, Aerosmith, let's make this work!" Jett called, aiming a digit at the Fire-type. "Stun Spore! Fly way above!"

"Fly," Aerosmith grunted and his wings gained a yellow hue. He darted for that horse of death and fire, beginning to rapidly flap his wings. A fine yellow dust sprinkled below him, trying to attach to Mori and paralyze her. No matter the result, he began to turn and fly back, trying to stay out of range as much as possible.

---

Amy recalled Marshall as the nameless man recalled his fallen Spearow. He grimaced, the undeniable fury building up within him. But, from the corner of his eye, he saw another girl in the distance, admiring the battle. He swore softly.

"Flora," Amy called, summoning her trusty Bayleef. The Grass-type in question gave Amy a quizzical glance, knowing much more than Marshall of her distate of battling outside of contests. "Just go with me." Flora let out a small huff and turned to meet her opponent: an angry little Wartortle. The Turtle Pokemon seemed as tough as nails and bore a scar on his right cheek. He let out a grunt and charged for Flora without warning or command.

"He doesn't need my orders," the man laughed, malice glowing in his eyes. "I raised him right and now I just need to point him in the right direction!" The girl's arms shook and she grit her teeth, but she shook her head.

"Razor Leaf! Don't let it get near you!" she called out, trembling some. Flora gave the Water-type a wary glance and aimed a few projectile leaves that paused the Bite attack. Wartortle slid back some, shaking his head and continuing after Flora. When Flora tried the same strategy, however, Wartortle immediately enclosed himself in his shell. The leaves bounced off harmlessly and he sprung back into action, sinking a well-executed Bite right into Flora's neck.

"B-bay!" Flora squealed, trying to reel back, but it wouldn't let go! Amy clasped her hand to her mouth, watching the Wartortle latch onto her best friend and draw blood. The man only cackled in the background, and all she could do was scream for Flora to knock it off somehow.

Cindy wouldn't let this happen to her... Flora thought weakly, trying to shake it off. And Vector certainly wouldn't...! Slowly, those sharp little fangs released and the turtle was in mid-air, asking for it. Flora reared her head back. "Bay!" And I'm no different! I'm not weak! She slammed her skull directly into the turtle's, sending it flying back.

"Tackle!" Amy called, trying to block out the images of the cute little Chikorita, suddenly hardened by battle and blood. She would've been seriously hurt otherwise.

Flora galloped toward the trembling Water-type and threw all her weight into one powerful Tackle, knocking the wind out of that angry bipedal Pokemon. It flew back, let out one weak "W-war...", and collapsed. The man looked horrified.

Amy recalled Flora and walked up to that man, resisting every urge to slap him across the face. "You disgust me," she stated, her voice cracking some. "People like you should never be allowed to be near Pokemon, let alone have them! Nothing deserves to be treated that way! And I have half a mind to walk back into that PokeCenter, take your Rattata, and release it into the wild where hopefully a good trainer will find it!" Tears stung furiously at her eyes and she stormed off in a random direction.

Unfortunately, that direction had the one spectator of the battle, and Amy gasped slightly when she saw the fellow coordinator. "H-hi, Riza..." she mumbled, managing a watery smile. "Y-you look really pretty!"

Once the group got into a rhythm, the flight seemed to get a little easier. For the most part, Kasiya kept her eye on Mike and Nitro as they were in the lead, though every now and then it looked as though someone was spitting buckets of molten lava down into the ocean below. Kasiya wasn't sure if it was the Charizard or his rider, though if she had to venture a guess, she'd choose the latter. I dunno how he's managing to cope with all those changes to his body, she thought sadly, glancing over at Keegan as Sasha continued to torment him. She mouthed the words 'I'm sorry' once or twice but she wasn't sure Keegan saw them, as even though he was probably pretending to be annoyed by the pink-haired girl's antics, he was probably enjoying them on some level as well. Stupid boys are stupid, she thought, holding Sirrus a little tighter as she felt an angry pang of jealousy shoot through her. The boys were always looking at Sasha and admiring her assets, and it made the poor blonde girl feel a little self-conscious as a result. I'll bet Keegan doesn't look at me that way, she thought ruefully as Nitro had begun to descend.

Sirrus, being as well-trained as he was, didn't need to be told to follow the Charizard. He trilled happily and began to glide down after Nitro, coming down to land nice and safely. He chirped enthusiastically at Sasha's thanks, looking back to his temporary trainer as she dismounted safely as well. "Thanks for the ride, Sirrus," she said, patting his scaly skin. "I gotta admit that you make me feel a lot safer than Fang does, as much as I love that empty-headed bat." Sirrus gave a happy chirp and nuzzled Kasiya's cheeks with his head. The girl giggled and gently scratched him between the eyes, along the bridge of his nose. The Flygon cooed happily, his tail thumping the ground as though he were a giant puppy. I wish I didn't have to give him back to Mai at some point, she thought, glancing over at Sasha as she'd walked over to the redhead and his Skarmory once they'd landed. Another pang of jealousy shot through her and she turned her back on them, attempting to turn her entire focus on the Flygon, who by now had rolled onto his back, all four legs in the air. Kasiya giggled and rubbed his belly, wondering if perhaps he'd been a Growlithe in a previous life.

"Hmm?" Jake looked around a few times before he was able to pinpoint the sound of Roark's voice, and he looked up to spy the surprisingly young gym leader sitting atop a rock. He looked sort of grumpy, and suddenly Jake wondered if perhaps he should just leave him alone, though that was quickly answered by Roark as he stood up and accepted the challenge. "Uh, sure, that'd be great, thanks," he said, nodding appreciatively. Okay, so maybe he wanted to battle after all. Jake quickly found his place on the challenger's side, suddenly overcome with the feeling that he'd done this sort of thing before. He was still a bit shocked at how young the gym leader seemed to be, but he managed to get over it pretty quickly. I hope I don't make a fool out of myself, he thought as he waited for Roark to be ready, for as far as he knew this was the first and only gym battle he'd ever participated in.

Camerupt gave a pathetic sounding cry as he tried to get back up to his feet, but he just couldn't manage it. His legs wobbled weakly beneath his tremendous bulk and he crashed back to the ground, a heavy sigh escaping his mouth as he faded into unconsciousness. That Vital Throw was incredible, Flannery thought, her ruby-red eyes wide with a mixture of shock and admiration. She let out a small sight of her own and recalled the Eruption Pokemon back into his Pokeball, looking across the battlefield to her challenger. "You've done well so far, but don't think you've won yet," she told him, somehow managing to keep the shakiness out of her voice.

She turned her back on him and the Hariyama and closed her eyes, holding her last Pokeball to her chest. Okay, I'm not sure we can do this, but I'm not going down easy, she thought, a small voice at the back of her mind reminding her of the time. Gotta wrap this up quickly, we've got bigger fish to fry... She spun on a heel, her red hair fanning out all around her as she sent Torkoal's Pokeball spiraling onto the battlefield. "Smokescreen!" she hollered, authority ringing clearly in her voice. Her ever-faithful Torkoal appeared in a flash of white light, though it was quickly obscured by the Coal Pokemon's white smoke. It quickly spread out, covering the battlefield in a thick hazy fog and making it nearly impossible to see.

Both Robbie and his Hariyama coughed, squinting through the smoke to try and make out the tiny, fiery tortoise, but it was rather difficult to do. Robbie ordered the massive Pokemon to try an Arm Thrust, and it rushed into the smoky haze, growling fiercely. "Torkoal, use Iron Defense," Flannery called out in a hushed whisper.

The happy little tortoise nodded, pulling all his limbs inside his shell. "Koooal!" he laughed quietly, his shell growing stronger and even more impenetrable than before.

Could this stupid Pokemon make any more noise? Keegan thought grumpily, very certain that Alvero was going out of his way to scrape and grind his wings together to make the worst metal upon metal screeching sound ever. Not only was the Skarmory working his way onto the redhead's very last nerve, but any time Alvero was flying anywhere near Kasiya's Flygon, Sasha made faces at him, though some of them were hard to make out with her hair flying all around her the way it was. He couldn't quite tell if she was glaring at him or trying to come on to him, and at one point he even started to wonder if she was having a seizure or something.

He glanced up again as the girls and Flygon suddenly seemed to be flying a lot closer, and a crimson blush flushed his cheeks thanks to Sasha's little peepshow. Without a second thought he whipped out his PokeNav and snapped a picture of the girl and all her glorious cleavage, pausing to admire it before he pointed at the device, grinning evilly as he put it back in his pocket. He was mostly certain she wouldn't care, what with her being a model an all, but it still felt good to get even a little bit of payback.

Keegan wasn't sure what city they were heading for when the posse of fliers started to descend, and he didn't bother finding out even after he'd jumped down from the Skarmory's back. He would have thanked Alvero for his efforts had the Armor Bird not tried to take his finger off, and Keegan didn't hesitate to call the ill-tempered creature back into his Great Ball until it was time to leave again. He'd just pulled a cigarette out of the pack and had lit it when Sasha came up to him, though he was mildly disappointed to see that this time she'd remained inside her shirt. "What? You want one of these?" he asked, more confused by her request than anything else. He took a long drag from it before he handed it to the pink-haired girl, wondering when she'd decided to take up smoking as a habit.

Miharu had been studying the butterfly that Jett had sent out, realizing rather quickly that it wasn't a Butterfree, which were very common in both Kanto and Johto. That must be a Hoenn or Sinnoh Pokemon, she thought, now looking over at the Gastly as it attempted to dodge Star's Bite attack. She nodded in acknowledgment when Scarlet finally introduced himself, and suddenly something inside her brain clicked - red hair that was in dire need of trimming, a loud, boisterous attitude, and a fiery little companion that wasn't so little anymore. "Wait... Scarlet? Is that really you?" she asked, green eyes wide with shock.

Her surprised gaze quickly settled back on Jett and his Beautifly as they initiated a Stun Spore, and the last thing she wanted to do was start off this battle by becoming paralyzed. "Flame Wheel, Mori," she called. "Burn away those spores!" She realized Flamethrower would have been a better move choice, but she wanted to save it until later. The Ponyta neighed and reared up on her hind legs, her flaming mane and tail spiraling out around her until her entire body had become wreathed in scorching flames. The drifting spores hissed and sizzled loudly as they were incinerated by the fire, and Mori pushed off with her powerful legs to try and chase down the retreating butterfly, if anything to show him that getting those pretty wings too close to her flames would end very, very badly for him.

Kilik unleashed a mighty sneeze and tightened his grip on Bahamut. The Dragon-type thrashed a little against him when he did. "Sorry, girl!" he patted her softly and aimed down when he noticed Nitro and the rest going down. The formation they were flying in was supreme - Mike in front, Kilik in back, Kasiya to the right and Keegan to the left, in a diamond shape. Should anyone attack, one of them could give the others a rather early heads up about it. But it appeared the skies were clear and safe today.

As Bahamut landed, Kilik hopped off and looked over at Sasha as she was getting off. Her breasts bounced madly within her loose shirt and Kilik quickly had to look away, staring straight up at the sky, blushing heavily. He cleared his throat and closed his eyes. "Impressive capture, Keegan," he said nonchalantly, pointing at the red head's Skarmory before it was sucked back into the sphere. "I've always been fond of Skarmory. Any tips on getting one?" Not that he would any time soon, but it would be nice to own one somewhere down the line.

Bahamut took small, curious steps over to Sirrus, standing beside Kasiya and craning her neck down to look the other Flygon. He had this weird scent about him. Then she sniffed Kasiya. They didn't share the same scent, so this blondie wasn't his trainer. But he sure seemed to enjoy her company. "Gooooon~" she trilled, then shook her head. He was a silly Flygon, that was for sure. Bahamut turned and flew a few feet back to her trainer, bumping his shoulder with her nose. Just a friendly 'I love you'.
