Kin became wide eyed, "Who is that?" Kin said quietly.

Vix said in a hurry as he dug deeper.>

"Teh, I guess we don't get any fun again..." Kin said out loud as he began to slowly walk in the clearing, knowing that everything is under control now that it's three on two. Or four on two if needed, they would stand no match against that.

((Sorry... I have to goes, am eating with my father for once. O.0))

((So sorry for posting late... My internet life is pretty much non-existent currently...))

"Victus Terra."

Minatsuki casted a spell as she was getting back up. Long strain of earth rose from the ground all around her, rushing past the icicles. They headed towards Bron, but their aim seemed a lot poor than intended; they were in Bron's general direction, but it seemed to leave more hole in the ground than wound on Bron. Ignoring the snarl, Asako descended down above Minatsuki and blew another long stream of fire, vaporizing the icicles. The vaporized icicles created a thick fog on the battle field, impairing the vision of everone.

Vilya was forced out of her attack by the earth that came flying at her target.
"Whoa!" She leapt to the side, narrowly escaping being crushed by the wave of ground and landed as the mist rushed over her. She cursed loudly.

Was all her creature replied with.
"Yeah, don't move when my enemies probably know right where I am." Something made Vilya turn, weapons raised. A snarl gave the cat creature away and as it leapt Vilya ducked and rolled, hearing the sickening clip as its teeth closed on air. It disappeared again, leaving Vilya shaken but ready to defend herself.
A dark shape formed in the mist, growing as it got closer. Vilya saw it but didn't have time to react, before she could even lift her scimitars a wing shot out of the mist and scooped her onto Tura's feathered back.

Tura had already cast the spell that enabled her to see magical energy, now it was a matter of finding the right lump of colored light from the four that were in her vision.

Vilya had an idea. All three of their creatures could fly, their enemies were mostly terrestrial, this was a good advantage.
It did not take long for Tura to find him. Vilya jumped off her back.
As she said this Vilya turned to her ally standing just within her vision a few feet away.
"I'm a friend!" She called, shifting both blades to one hand and holding up the other in peace.
"I've also got an idea."

Kin was about 20 feet away from the fight but within yelling distance of Sai. "Let me know when you want help!" Kin yelled out at Sai.

Kin thought to Vix quietly.

Vix mentioned to Kin.

could be annoying.> Kin replied.
I have a feeling that new girl will be traveling with us too... She BETTER be somewhat powerful. Kin thought to himself angerily.

Vix reminded Kin.

Kin explained to Vix.

"Ahh! What the hell!?" Tor yelled as he and the cat beasts sank into the liquid ground. Likewise, the cats hissed and snarled in surprise and attempted, in vain, to dig themselves out.

Sai had leapt clear of the sand trap as soon as it appeared and Stratus had taken to the air. Moments later Minatsuki and Asako countered an attack from Bron and promptly obscured the entire area in a heavy fog.

"Dammit," Bron muttered to himself. He was unable to see much more than a few feet in any direction so he decided his wisest choice would be to simply stay where he was and rely on his shield for protection until his enemies showed themselves.

Sai held his sword in a defensive guard, not sure where an attack might come from, but sure that on would eventually. Much as he expected a form appeared out of the mist. Though, contrary to his expectations, it was a woman that he had never seen before and she was walking towards him with a set of scimitar-looking swords in one hand and the other held in a placating gesture. And then she claimed to be an ally with a plan.

Where do all these people keep coming from?

"First you must prove that I can really trust you. Only then will I hear what you have to say." Sai said and prepared himself to switch from his defensive stance to an offensive flurry at any moment .

Minatsuki smirked as the thick fog covered the area. They would remain in this form for a while, due to the magical power that were put in to make them. Asako withdrew in the fog, away from Quiss. Her metallic skin blended in with the setting, making her fade away soon. She quickly returned above Minatsuki, finding her without no trouble, and landed on her shoulder, her claws gripping Minatsuki's shoulders. Though Asako was a huge pheonix of nearly 300 pounds, Minatsuki should no sign of pain.

By the shield, Minatsuki figured Bron was a defensive type, and he would not move from his position, especially after she left him in the middle of a field with plenty of holes. She soundlessly approached the hole that her earth snake spell had left, sinking her sword slightly into it.

"Infusco Penna per extermino quod gladius."

Under her breath, Minatsuki murmured a small spell, and Asako's metal wings burst into black fire, lighting Minatsuki with her. The reason why she had made such a snake with useless attack was to create tunnels below Bron's feet for the fire to travel. The black fire, Asako's pheonix fire refined by Minatsuki's magic, did not even emit ant light as it wrapped itself around Minatsuki and followed down her sword into the tunnel. The rushed underground towards the holes all around Bron, and blasted out of the tunnels around him with overbearing speed and heat that could melt almost anything it brushes by. When they made contact with any living being, it would explode and cause chain reaction of one energy explosion after the other.

((heh, now I actually have to think of said plan…))

Vilya knew it was a big risk, nevertheless she threw down her blades and proceeded unarmed, both hands held up at shoulder level.
“Bron and Tor are both using shield spells woven into items they carry. Bron is wearing a gold bangle and Tor has a ring on his right hand. If we can get the items away from them, the shields will break down. I have a feeling those cowards will give up when they don’t have their cheap advantage anymore.”
Vilya stopped a few feet away, her hands still in the air. “Both items holding the shields are metal.” She paused before asking; “Are you familiar with heating spells?” It was a bit cheap to use these spells in honorable combat, when the only metal objects in the arena were swords, shield and armor. Seeing how this fight was far from honorable however, Vilya decided it was a fair counter.

Tura leapt into the air as soon as she reached the edge of the battleground. The dragon was easy to spot above the mist. His fire-like feathers stood out against the dark sky like gold in a coal pile.
It was an ancient and very formal greeting given to feathered dragons where Tura had come from. Dragons were greatly respected among her people, along with all the other mythics.
She swooped down and leveled with Stratus. Truth be told Tura felt is was an insult to her as well, seeing as she too followed the code, to watch someone sully it made her angry.

((Sorry for the delay. I could only think of one way to respond to these last posts, but I didn't like that way. Unfortunately it was all I could think of, so I went with it anyways. I'm glad I did though, because I think it turned out well...))

The moment that the dark fire leapt forth from the ground Bron attempted to leap clear of it, and almost made it. He was over halfway over one of the holes in the ground that had begun spouting flame when it caught him in the arm. There was an explosion of energy and a flash of blazing light. A moment later Bron landed on the ground well clear of the fires that were bursting from where he had been standing before.

"AAAAHHHH!" Bron screamed out and grasped just above the burned stump of his right arm. The fires had caught him and incinerated his arm to nothing to halfway between his elbow and shoulder. "AAAAHHHH! You *****((words and things...))!! Nacal! Kill her now! VULGUS CREATURA EFFINGO!!!" He thrust his hand out to where he had last seen Nacal((They're still in all the mist/fog)), there was a visible pulse of energy from his palm and then he collapsed.

"Yeah," Sai said in response to the womans question. He bent to pick up her blades and held them in one hand. "I am familiar with them, though I have never had the need to use one." He suddenly heard the one man, Bron, scream out, twice, and then yell a spell. A moment later dozens of the cat-beast, Nacal, appeared all over the place, surrounding them on every side. "Oh crap. Here, catch." Sai said and tossed the blades back to their owner.

Stratus thought, mostly to himself. Stratus then also heard Brons screaming and his shouted spell.

Sai thought as he readied himself to rapidly counter multiple strikes. He doubted he could protect himself from them all, but he would damn sure rather go down fighting than not. Of course he's rather not go down at all, but that didn't seem to be an option at this point.

"Hey, Nacals. Pull me out of here." Tor said to the multitude of cats that had suddenly appeared, in such numbers that many of them had appeared in the quicksand and were almost all in arms reach of each other. Together they managed to pull him up from the sand and pull him from one to the other until he reached solid ground again. "Now, to make them pay for humiliating us like this." He held his sword at the ready and charged through the fog, shouldering his way through cats, until finally a form appeared out of the mist, the girl and she was facing away from him too. How convenient. He steadied his sword and charged, intending to pierce her through.

The cats began to swing with their primitive, yet effective blades. And Sai began what would probably be a futile attempt to prevent all of them from landing a hit on him.

He then dove through the mist and descended on a group of cats in a whirlwind of teeth and claws.

Note: Our creatures were only supposed to be able to speak telepathically to their partners. Though, I think the idea that they can communicate to each other telepathically is a good idea: So shall it be. Humans can still only speak telepathically to their own bound creature/s.

((Bwahaha! Begin crazy rampage! twisted ))

Minatsuki could not even hear Bron scream now. She knew inside her head that she was beyond control, but she couldn't do anything about it. She only hoped that someone would stop her rampage.

Because of the spell, Asako had frozen in her state, still perched on top of Minatsuki in blazing black flame. Minatsuki only heard the rustling of Tor's clothes few inches from her as he charged for her, and by the time she had turned, she only had enough time to hold out her left hand to protect herself. Tor's sword pierced directly through the palm of Minatsuki's hand, though not deep enough to reach her body; only few inches stuck out towards her body. Still engulfed in the black flame, Minatsuki did not let out any cry of pain. Instead, she smirked at Tor as her blood dripped from her hand onto his sword. Within less than a second, the flame caught onto her blood and began charging for Tor's arm, body, head, and whatever that it could grasp onto. Even if he removed his sword, her blood on his sword would remain and connect the flamed from Asako to Minatsuki, and to Tor.

The blood dripped to the ground, dyeing the earth red. The flame that feed off of energy immediately lunged for any sign of life, and began to spread unstoppably, catching onto little plants and twigs on the ground and even on the dirt itself. The intensity of flame won over the humidity of the fog, slowly clearing up the area, though things were not looking too clear.

Kin groaned and fell to the ground cross legged and folded his armed. "Looks like they don't need any help at all. And if they don't kill them I will have myself a little fun hunting trip after they run off." Kin said evily but sounding also happy at the same time. That girl looks like she has a hard time controling her abilities. That or herself in general. "Sai better be the one to calm her down because I DON'T want to do it." Kin said to himself, annoyed at the thought.

Kin thought to Vix.

Vix responded without words and just dug down deeper into the soil and feeling the vibations of all the movement above.

((I asked Sai for help but he never responded SO, I'm not helping. X-D ))

((Hmm, it didn't occur to me that the creatures could only communicate with their humans, I guess too many fantasy books programed me to think otherwise XD. Sorry about that.))

A hint of pity crept into the back of Vilya's mind as she watched both of her opponents. One already had his arm taken and now the other looked like he was about to be worse off. Her blades she had caught quickly when Sai had thrown them to her and now, with the mist clearing she was ready to finish the fight.

Tura stayed airborne, she did have a plan. The narcals were closing in on her companion and the other humans. Fast action would be needed.
She cast the energy vision spell one more time, the battleground below lighting up with the little green dots that betrayed the cat-creatures to her. Higher she flew, reciting a chant that manipulated the temperature around her;

In an instant clouds appeared out of thin air, exploding in every direction and turning a dark, angry gray. Tura banked away from the mage storm, closing her eyes and throwing all her attention into it as thunder growled menacingly over her head. Almost. It was almost ready.
She could feel the charge of electricity building up and brushed against Vilya's mind, warning her of what she was about to do.

"Hey!" Vilya yelled over to Sai as she ducked and parried. Tura's attack would be trained only on the narcals, but they were in so close a combat there was a good chance she and Sai would be hit as well.
"When I say "Now" we need to get as clear of these beasts as we can, got it?" For his sake she hoped so.
PostPosted: Wed Oct 03, 2007 8:01 pm

"Ahh!" Tor yelled out and released his sword immediately. He leapt back and threw out his hand to form his shield. "You *****((more words and more things...))! Erigo Terra Capulus!" He thrust his other arm towards Minatsuki and the ground at her feet began to rise up from all sides. It raised until it had formed an earthen cylinder to just over her head and then began to constrict, closing in around her.

"Alright," Sai called back to the woman that had intruded in his battle. He ducked beneath the swing of one of the many cat-beasts that were surrounding him. As he stood he parried multiple attacks and counterattacked against one of their number who had left himself entirely open. The brief distraction from blocking and parrying was rewarded with a slash to his left shoulder and Sai immediately fell back to his purely defensive fighting techniques.

Stratus was likewise engaged with numerous cats but was faring better because of his innate speed and agility. He slashed, gouged, and bit at the beasts all in rapid succession. Each time inflicting a would-be lethal wound and whirling on the next before even stopping to watch the previous fade away.

Sai called to his loyal companion.

Stratus replied tersely.

((I thought the shield only blocks physical attacks?))

Minatsuki swung her sword at what Tor had left behind. Because of the intense heat, the sword was not hard to break, and half of the blade and whatever that was left of the handle fell onto the ground, igniting the dirt and grass where it fell. The earth that had evolved around her never fully touched her because of the flame; when the dirt had touch the flame, the fire caused a small explosions, that started a small chain reaction all around her.

Ripping the leftover blade out of her hand, Minatsuki smirked as she licked off a steak of blood from it, tasting the fire and her salty blood. Still burning from the flame, the blade flew out of her hand in front of her, towards where Tor was standing. When it pierced the shell around her, the shell lit on fire, and crumbled to pieces, feeding the flame bigger and bigger.
