Professor Oak looked up from his work at the sound of Enkou's voice. "You definitely look like you've come a long way, my friend." he said as he stood up, stretching his back a in the process. "Of course you may. Give me just a moment and I'll have a Bulbasaur for you." he said politely, turning to retreat to the back of the lab for a few minutes.

True to his word, he was only gone for a moment or two before he returned with an armful of items. Handing the boy a Pokeball , he smiled warmly. "Your Bulbasaur is in there." the elderly researcher informed the boy as he began to pick apart the stack of items balanced in his arms.

After a few moments, he had several Pokeballs, some Potions, a Pokedex and an assortment of trainer tech for the boy to choose from laid out for his journey. "Here, these should get you well on your way without trouble." he said as he indicated the Pokeballs, Potions and Pokedex. "Pick one of these to take with you as well, if you like." he added as he indicated the PokeGear, PokeNav and Poketch laid out on the desk.

With that, the boy would be free to go as he pleased.

Professor Oak looked up as Jasmine entered the lab, smiling kindly, "No need to be nervous," he reassured the girl, although he knew quite well the butterflies in his own stomach as he chose his first starter all those years ago.

"So you're just starting out on your journey," he smiled, nodding at her request, "Charmander it is, just give me one moment, and I'll go find you a suitable partner," he offered, leaving his research momentarily to retrieve a Pokeball and some other assorted items from the area in his lab reserved for new trainers.

He returned a moment later, carrying several Pokeballs, one of them occupied by the Charmander, the rest empty. He handed them over to Jasmine, along with a Pokedex and several Potions to see her on her way.

"Here you are," the older Professor grinned, "I look forward to seeing your progress. Feel free to check in with me if you ever feel like it. I'm sure the two of you will make a great team."

Krynul steps into the lab and looks around curiously. He taps a beaker causing it to wobble precariously on the edge of the table. He yelps and holds his hand up to catch it and replaces it on the table. He steps past two massive bookcases. He peers into the bookcases and begins reading information for new trainers. He scoffs at the pamphlets and replaces them before stepping into the back room of the laboratory.

Before him stood a table with four machines each labeled with an elemental symbol. He walks up to the table and looks at the pokeballs inside the machine. He steps up to the machine in the center with the water drop mark on it and peers inside. From the side of the lab he hears a voice. "That's squirtle, a water type pokemon. He's quite energetic." Krynul reaches into the machine transfixed and pulls out the pokeball inside. After several seconds of gazing at the ball he holds out his arm and summons the pokemon inside. "Squirtle go!" The ball splits open and releases the turtle like creature inside who immediately turns to Krynul and gives a big grin.

"I think I will choose this one." He smiles and picks the Squirtle up. "He's wonderful." Krynul gave a rare smile and places the pokemon down again. He holds up the pokeball and recalls the squirtle. "Well I guess I'm off." He turns his blue cloak swishing behind him as he charges out the door.

Kouken walked into the lab peering around at all the miscellaneous scientificy objects, and books, and such in the facility. He was pretty excited about today, getting his first pokemon. His brother was following behind him, having tagged along on the hike from Celadon City to Pallet Town to protect his little brother from wild pokemon.
Kouken peered around into another room and spotted the professor. "Excuse me, professor Oak." He said a bit quietly, walking up to him with his brother waiting in the doorway. "You wouldn't happen to have a Bulbasaur would you?" He questioned, fidgeting with his fingers.

"Yes, we do still have some Bulbasaur left," Professor Oak nodded with a smile to Matt, "Just a moment, I'll be right back," he offered, before gathering up a few supplies to help start the boy off. He returned with the Bulbasaur's Pokeball, along with several spare empty balls, and some Potions. He handed these over to Matt, along with a new Pokedex.

"Here are the basics," he explained with a smile, "If you have any questions on where to go or what to do, feel free to ask away. I'm always excited to see new trainers starting out, and I hope to be any help that I can."

"So," Professor Oak released the Bulbasaur from her Pokeball, "I'm sure the two of you will be a great team!"

"Alright then, Squirtle it is," the elder professor nodded, offering Wind a Pokeball a moment later once he had gotten his research to a stopping point. He handed over the water type's ball, along with a Pokedex, several Potions, and some empty Pokeballs to get the boy started.

"I look forward to seeing your progress," Oak smiled kindly. He always liked seeing new trainers off, it reminded himself of when he first started out in the world of Pokemon as well.
