Vincent, by this time, had already gone inside and moved into the spare bedroom, laying down on top of the sheets and curling up, the room seeming to be lit by his aura of fire, which was the way he liked it. If you didn't know any better, you would think he was on fire, save for his calm sleeping about him.

His fingers intertwined with hers as he held her close, mostly lost in thought, "I missed you too, even when you were right in front of me. Tomorrow, yes, tomorrow, I'm getting Vince and we're putting our heads together, or at least taking what I need from his, I'm never letting this happen to you again." He let out a brief sigh as the two rose off the ground and darted towards and up the stairs, he almost had a look of fatigue in his eyes, which shouldn't be surprising.

At first he resisted, but kicking off his shoes and setting his shades on the nightstand, he knew sleep was coming either way. He gave Kalie another quick kiss before pulling off his shirt and laying down, drifting off to sleep after only a few short minutes.

*Troubled by her dreams, Kalie woke while the moon still hung in the sky, as an ever dazzling as the stars. To sleepily stumble from the bed to the master bath, pausing at the closet and grab a few things on the way to dress and clean up.*

*Tripping her hand over the handles, the faucet gave birth to a thin stream of cold water, her palm cradled just around the first few drops as the stream started to stiffen and form a crystal clear rod in her hand. Leaning on the sink, she carefully drew curves from the thick cylinder, it's shape twisting as two icy leaves unfolded from between her fingertips. Thumbing the tip of the rod between her thumb and forefinger, the water shaped under her hands first as a small bud..but as her movements increased the blossom began to bloom, a fan of clear petals forming from around the center. Holding the fragile blossom, Kalie ducked through the doorway and walked over to the bed. Setting the frozen rose on the pillow beside him, it would keep for a several hours more, she leant down and kissed his brow..then departed from their bedroom, leaving Torment to sleep.*

*Leaning on the doorframe, situated between the hall and the kitchen she watched Vince for a spell, her arms crossed beneath her chest.*

"Miss the police department chain of command and way of living yet..?"

*Shaking her head, she declined politely..* "No thanks, too early.. "

*Walking past Vince, Kalie reached into the nearest set of cupboards, her hand returning with a mug and small packet. The packet and glass going to the counter top, as she moved farther down to find a medium sized kettle to fill with water, turning on the stove on the way by.*

"They do tend to be a bit demanding... and all those rules that only take the fun away.."

*Placing the kettle on the warming burner, Kalie coun't help but laugh.*

"You worked for the GPD and almost got shot...can't imagine why..."

*Lifting herself up onto the counter, she scooted down a bit, to be close enough to move the pot if needed.*

"Whats there to go back to?"

*rocking back and forth on the counter, she tore open the corner of the packet and tipped it over the mug, a fine dark brown powder covering the bottom.*

"was just curious.."

*Having removed the kettle from the stove, Kalie froze.. her eyes fixating on Vince and a flood of unwelcome memories. Speaking quietly, she shifted on the counter, as the steam and water poured from the spout and into the mug.*
