Hey, another chance to kill Dessie. I haven't done that since Part 2 of BC. ))

(Ankles, Vahn. Greaves cover your shins and in a best-case scenario your knees, not your ankles--as that would SEVERELY limit mobility. There are definitely wraps that hold your greaves up, but greaves cover your shins, not your ankles. xd )

OOC: No idea, I just know he entered from the Fuel Depot, which leads me to believe east side.

((Guess it's the Shade Team's turn, eh?))

Damn. No battle lines here. Not like he was expecting. That was about the only break Daniel could see. Lots of fire, lots of blasts he could hear, arrows, bullets. It wasn't going well.

"Con. Rook continues on with escourt. Rest of us sweep the Ruins."

Something was out here. They wouldn't be firing if there wasn't.

Pistol ready, Daniel kept his eyes out for any sign of movement. First one he saw was an archer, reloading up against the ruins. Cover from the shades in the fort, but that is a little less effective against the opposite direction.

He took two of the Pawns, gesturing for them to charge towards the man, while he leveled off a ranging shot at the archer (Stat's character), followed up with another quickly, corrected for aim. Unlike other pistols being used, his did not have a silencer.

The bishop, and the two other pawns broke off in the other direction, heading towards the half-golem, however, it was unlikely, unless he was slowed down, that they would reach him in time to prevent the wall melting sneak-in. However, it was likely that one of them would get off one of those silent communications, informing the shades inside of the wall melting gate crasher.

(Those are boots, dude. But I'll work with it. xd )

It hurt--A LOT. Mooo'd been burned before, and in fact a lot of people had used fire on him--but the thing was, fire didn't hit you like a fist did. If anything, the sudden heat that hit his gloves and shot through to his forearm only caused him to hang on tighter--of course, this was quite a bit higher than what he'd been hit with before, but it wouldn't kill him. The material of his gloves was sturdy--if it could survive a point-blank explosion, if it could remain intact as he was thrown through several floors of a building, it could hold for a few seconds against a superheated boot.

"OWWW ******** ******** ******** ******** ********!!" Mooo cried as he tensed his arms up, digging the toes of his boots into the ground, bending his legs, and yanking back as hard as he could, pulling more from the shoulder and center of his back than just with his arms, lending more strength to the pull. Just a note--Mooo's best dead lift ranked at just under four standard tons. He wasn't at his best at this point, but he could definitely pull into his reserves to a reasonable degree.

Stryphe and the three Shadeknights entered the Lakeside ruins from the backside of the fortress- the side opposite of the lake. It would be useless to just run around to the front of the fortress- he'd only be put in a defensive position with whatever and whoever else was in or around the base. Instead, he and the three powerful Shadeknights under his command slink through the smaller ruins around the main fortress, silently heading north around the structure. The goal was to disrupt the enemy line.

And by "disrupt", Stryphe meant "obliterate".

Flare didn't hear the commotion going on downstairs, because thus far Shou had been silent. She could tell the archers were firing, but she wasn't too concerned about that, either. No, all she was going to do was sit still, and charge up a fireball while the little paper men finally finished bandaging her.

She was still sitting, leaning against the wall, her head well beneath it, so she wasn't a target from outside.

Hakan was finally alert again, as his wounds finally finished healing. without the pain, the shock quickly wore off, and he was surprised to find his arm still working after that axe hit. But he could hear the sounds of fighting, and didn't feel like being in danger yet, so he stayed still where he was. Bow gripped tightly in his hand, as he had never let it go.

Luckily for him, he was out of the way of everything in a dark, shadowed corner. Go him, having been set aside properly earlier.

The Null mage took note of Quin's breif apperance and readied another dark matter ball. It fired towards the ruin Quin was heading to take cover behind. The Dark Matter balls basically just exploded with a powerful blast of the same energy that made up most of the shades bodies. really it was just an ordinary explosion if you weren't weak to such energies, roughly of the same power as the warpstone Quin shot earlier. The Bishop imediately began preparing another spell, this one likely stronger.

This round of arrow fire was sadly interrupted as the UGH soldiers let loose, causing all the archers to duck. Thankfully this saved a couple of them from the fare more accurate shots of those close by.

As Shouyin entered through the wall, he would be greeted by a figuretive firehose of ice crystals. The Ice Bishop inside was attemping to reinforce the weakened wall by coating it with the ice. It didn't take more than a split second to aim the spray at the sudden intruder, attempting to blast him back and hopefully encumber him with some heavy ice buildup. It was doubtful he could get a shot off under those conditions.

As for out front, Kami was suddenly getting the feeling this was a very exposed and thus bad place to be. He had to deal with Vahn first however and that was not going to be- WHAT THE HELL WAS MOOO DOING HERE?!?!

Surprised utterly Kami lept away from the tumbling brawler and fell into a shoulder roll. Vahn, however, was terribly unlucky. Before he could really do much against Kami OR the incoming Mooo, the rather large plumetting masonry that the mine earlier had flung on him landed right on top of him. Maybe if he were in a better state of mind he would've dodged? Mooo was also unfortunate to be in line of these falling stones, but Kami at least knew it'd take alot more than that to help him.

The paper Shinigami stood straight and saluted both Flare and Hakan, their tiny squeaking voices assuring them they were now battle ready. Then they went about putting their master's things away, dragging the back into the back and out of the line of fire.

(( Once again, did i forget anyone? ))

Too busy concentrating on getting his sword out Quin had the blade drawn when he saw the sphere of dark matter coming at him. Bringing the sword up in a high guard the sphere impacted upon the blade and began to burst into an explosion.

As this happened runes flared up along the length of the blade and the explosion drew back in on itself. As though some outside observer was rewinding a tape the ball shrunk and its energy raged within the blade.

Well that was good for the first time; but it would be a while tell he could release it.

Moving once more Quin was on his way towards the base of the fortress. Zig zagging between the ruins and hoping to keep him out of a direct line of sight tell the last possible moment.
