How else will the lycan sid eof them rationalize with the vampiric one? Lina needs you more than she lets on. You're the only lycan in her organization."

She sighed, "Can we put a pause on this pissing contest so someone could explain to me why everyone is so tense? I've never understood the animositiy between lycans and vampires, you both would be an unstoppable force if you guys cooperated with each other." She shrugged.

"Not in the least, but I don't care much for my life." Troden said, lowering his weapon, "But the Rajens need me, so I must finish what I started." he took a few steps forwards, the skin that the knife touched, sliced cleanly, leaving blood to drop from that blade, "We shall meet again Lina..and Remus. And next time, it will be to the death." he continued walking away until he had disappeared.

Remus laughed and looked up at Obsidion. "Careful, that's the attitude that got me my death warrent in the first place. I tried the nice approach and just about died for it." Remus sighed as Troden left. He put his gun away.

Obsidian gave him a doting look, "Oh you're concerned for me, how cute. No, you see you and I are completely different. Get me riled up and I could swallow this city whole." She gave him a sweet smile, "But that still doesn't answer my first question, I'm not sure I understand what's going on."

The blood drip off slowly as Lina watched Troden walk away, lowering her arm and letting the blood comepletely slid off, "Obsidian. This is something that isn't about race, but belief." she put the now clean dagger back in her sleeve and walked near Remus, "Are you alright?"

Remus shifted. "I'm fine. He didn't pull the trigger so there's no harm done." Remus looked at Lina as the transformation finished. "And you, are you unharmed?"

As Troden left the park, the smirk disappeared as he looked at the trees closely at the entrance. Four pairs of eyes appeared infront of him, each lowering once his eyesfell upon them, "You saw the reaction in Lina. She will watch over that one with extra care now that I know his name and have his scent in my nostrils. I want to know everything you saw in that standoff. I don't care if it is a blade of grass moving in the wind." the eyes nodded and disappeared.

Remus shook his hair and followed Lina towards the park's entrance. His heartbeat was still a little faster than normal but he had been through worse. Inside he felt a sense of self-fulfillment. He hadn't lost control. He smiled to himself.
