Yes, I am because it's certainly not for the poor payment that they'll make you take. To think 30 years ago ( 75 years old ) I was peacefuly pacifest who wouldn't hunt or eat little meat, would turn into me after just fifteen years ( 115 right now) of exile.

"From my experience, that's what happens when you're sent into exile." says Cy, "It's either that or you just curl up and die, which happened to the only other exile to come from my villiage....perhaps he was better that way though. Horribly destructive person, nearly destroyed the entire place and twice at that! Well, we should be getting on with our search shouldn't we?"

I run after him and I step in front of him.
'What was that little cheating rat? Give me back my gold or you''ll know what I'm capable of!'

Intimidate check: 12 - 1 = 11

"I didn't cheat!" the goblin yells, obviously upset by your accusation, "I'm not giving your gold back either, if you think you can make me give it back, follow me. I'm not going to jail because I killed you in an uncomissioned fight."
Just thought I should mention, the guards will never be push-overs. I'm going by the same system as the elder scrolls: Oblivion, the guards are 10 levels higher than you. Don't break the law and get caught.

Yes we should, we can continue are little discussions about the past at a later time, when we have less to worry about. Well less then usual at least. I quickly added, knowing from las nights conversation they both had a lot on their minds all the time.

God, Kat your sadistic and you know what I like that about you. See you all on Sunday or more likely Monday.
PostPosted: Fri Nov 10, 2006 6:40 pm

Don't worry I put sadism in the optional things so that it doesn't leak into combat.
In the daylight, the graveyard appears somewhat less menacing, though it seems to be just as large as before. Graves still extend out from the entrance as far as you can see, forming uniform rows of tombstones that give the land an almost gridlike appearance.

Roll a search check.

'How do I know this isn't a trap? Where do you want me to follow you to? How do I know this isn't an escape plan?'
PostPosted: Sun Nov 12, 2006 6:50 pm

"I want you to follow me to a little "fight club" we have around here," the goblin explains, "As for this being a trap...Well, you're getting beaten to a pulp whether it's a trap or not so why not follow me? If this was an escape plan, I'd say it was a pretty awful one, since you're still here. Generally escape plans involve escaping from people."

Back to work, now. I begin to pick up the search in a different spot from the other day.
Search 15+, that's good because I really don't want to go into a saddistic fight scene. Hey Kat, do you have the complete warrior?
PostPosted: Mon Nov 13, 2006 7:45 pm

I don't have the complete warrior, but I can easilly get a hold of a copy of it, why?

.....you really should read the PHB, there's a certain thing in there that could keep us out of harms way right now...

You wander around trying to find the single grave you're looking for, unfortunately you're having almost no luck. In order to find the right grave, you'd have to spend hours searching each grave meticulously.

Well I've been looking at the PrC, The order of The Bow Iniative and wanted to see if you'd okay it. As for the PHB I see nothing that can help with this sitituation.
Cy, I hope you've got no plans made because it seems like we're going to be here for awhile.
PostPosted: Tue Nov 14, 2006 6:25 pm

Alright, I see where beating around the bush got us last time so I'll just say it: take a 20 on your next roll.

I've looked over the class(online sources), it looks fine to me. Though combining that with a scout would make things even better. (d6s for skirmish, d8s for whatever it is they get d8s for)

"You don't need to worry about me," Cy says, "The only plans I have today are figuring out what this is all about. I'm afraid I'll have to clear some room in my schedule for tomorrow though....okay, I'm free tomorrow."

Oh ********... I'm dead meat... Well... s**t happens, I'm not the coward type, if I provoke, I assume the consequences.

'Right I'll follow you, but don't try anything funny'
PostPosted: Wed Nov 15, 2006 3:34 pm

Cool, the only problem is I have to get those ranks in craft bow, also I take 20 on my search roll.
That's good because if you weren't clear I'd have to make some free time for you.

Javius: the fight club is sanctioned, unless you do something really obvious, the guards won't get into anything with you because they hang out in predetermined places waiting for villagers to get them. In other words: don't kill, and if you steal hope for a good sleight of hand check.

Steven: FYI, you couldn't have found the grave without a 20. CR35, even that should be a bit low if you consider what exactly we're doing.

Javius: The goblin leads you away from the tavern, to a horrible looking part of town. He pauses before a door and knocks. A voice on the other side says,
"What's the password?"
The goblin describes various tortures that await the guard if he doesn't let him in.
"close enough."
The door swings open onto a small, dingy room with a white circle of chalk on the floor. People are gathered around cheering while two orcs fight with greataxes.

Steven: After hours of searching methodically, you find a grave which reads,
"Here lie those who created this town
Their tool creates that which isn't there
though the cost was something the earth couldn't repair
red, blue, black, green, bronze, brass, silver, and gold
there are fewer now than in days of old
the force they use is common enough
some sorcerors clame to contain the stuff"
The grave is quite elaborate, with intricate engravings of various patterns. It's wide enough to fit two bodies, as it would suggest and it's easily three times as tall as the other graves.

"Subtle, isn't it?" quips Cy, "any idea what this means?"
