"Wildcats," Saberstryke says, "Something I've never heard of? Why fight them, when there are stronger warriors we might conquer? Why not fight the Ancients?"

Dannin shruggs, "The Wildcats are the blood rival clan to the Wolfriders. They stand against us."

"That is what is strange, though," Saberstryke says, trying to figure it out. "They have not attacked us, have they? We raided their camp, and they don't strike back. How are they our enemies?"

Badamon appears before Talpa.
"I thought I told you capture the girl from the clan of the Ancients," Talpa says with anger to his servant.
"It would seem that there is a powerful warrior guarding the village, and even I cannot break through his power. However, a warlord with armor could easily accomplish the job," Badamon bends what was his back when he had a corporeal form.
"I see what you imply, Badamon," Talpa clenches a fist. "Very well, I will order Dannin of the Bright Flame to go, along with the warrior Saberstryke. Together, they should be able to capture Kayura."
"A wise decision, my lord," Badamon says before disappearing once more.

Dannin sighs, "It is an old feud. The Wildcats tried to wipe out the Wolfriders long ago. It has something to do with the armor I know wear, and the armor our Lord Talpa wears."

"The armors?" Saberstryke asks Dannin. "Why would they not rely on the power of the inner chi, as I do? And..." He pauses, trying to organize his thoughts. "How can a piece of metal have powers such as those I possess?"

Dannin shruggs, "I have no idea. The first great armor was made by the Wildcats when they were still skin-changers. There is an ancient power in that clan, a dangerous power."

Before Saberstryke can answer, the hard, thudding footsteps return once more, and Saberstryke kneels on the dirt. Talpa enters the tent, his red eyes glowing like dying embers.
"Dannin of the Bright Flame, Saberstryke of No Armor, I have a task for the both of you," The Emperor of Doom says.

"There is a clan called the Ancients," Talpa explains to Dannin. "You and Saberstryke are to find the camp, capture a girl there named Kayura. Your armor should gain you admittance, though you are to kill no one until you find the girl. Once you find her, slaughter them all, if need be."

Dannin bows, "As you wish, the child is safe and the rest are dead at our hands."
She looks over at Saberstryke, an evil glare in her eyes.

"Lord Talpa," Saberstryke asks, "How are we to know this girl Kayura from any other girl in the village."
"Her mystical powers, I am told," Talpa declares, "Give her a rather unusual feature: she has blue hair."
"Thank you, Lord Talpa," Saberstryke says to Talpa's back as Talpa leaves the tent.
"Well," Saberstryke says to Dannin, "Let's get going."
