Draeken Aakarshan

With a sigh, Draeken turned around and bowed his head. "You take all the fun out of it." Draeken surged forward at a pace that would have made a bullet look as slow as a thick gel moving down a window. From his right sleeve extended a conical spear-like object that rapidly became four feet long before it was shoved towards Phia's stomach.

*If there was one thing about D's combat style that Phi had picked up was things always came out of his sleeves. She knew that damn well, she'd seen it on several occasions. However the speed was the issue, he was much faster then her and she knew so she had to think faster, she moved to the right quickly, but it barely saved her, the spear like thing brushed hard against her side, she turned and got read for his next move*

Stopping almost instantly, Draeken spun around to the left, his left elbow coming around towards Phia. As his elbow came hurtling at her, a white spear-like object extended from his elbow and was aimed at Phia's chest, just below her neck. It seemed as if it was made of the bones of his arm. This came at her now at a speed close to that of his initial attack.

*Phia was already set up for his next move but not enought where she would be as lucky as last time. There'd be a flash of light in his eye for a second, and the clatter of metal, the moon had reflected off of the rapier in Phi's right hand, the clatter was the sound of the dagger in her left hitting the rapier. The dagger would look all too familar to D, it was one he gave to Phia long ago to protect herself with and she used it now for that purpose. She had managed to slow down his assult by catching his weapon between the two blades in a scissor effect, how ever it still went a good few inches into the middle of her chest, stopped only by where her ribs met in the center. She coughed a little bit but pushed off of him and stepped back a few feet to regain her bearings*

Using the momentum that she had given him when she pushed away, Draeken spun back around and aimed his spear-like bone protruding from his right wrist at her stomach again. At the same time he raised an invisible wall of air behind her, to limit her mobility.

*She pulled the dagger up and knocked the bone spear away, trying to step back but slamming into the wall of air. She cursed and tried to slash at his right side with her rapier at a blinding speed. Meanwhile the dager was pointed strait out to the left side of his chest so he'd hit either blade*

Turning his body to the left, he maintained the wall behind her, took the rapier in his side and avoided the dagger that was aimed at his heart. Draeken also kept moving forward, aiming to pin her neck between the wall and his right forearm. If successful in this she would hardly be able to breathe.

*Phia was slammed back against the invsable wall so hard it made her head spin for a second, she gasped for some air but didn't flail like some might, insted she tried to plunge the dagger into the arm that was pinning her, but as she did so she wasnt looking at her target but strait at him with a gaze that was startling, behind all the blood and dirt on her face, was a vibrant gaze full of anger, frustration and sadness and somewhere there was somesort of beauty, that was the startling thing. But chances were it would be missed if Draeken focused on not getting a dagger through his arm*

Draeken let the dagger plunge into his arm while he stared at her. The dagged made a dull 'thunk' then a metallic snap as it would strike the bone and break. This only caused more damage to his arm, but he didnt pay attention to it at all. The look in his eye though said that his staring wasnt because of the mixture of emotions in her own eyes. The look in his eye was nothing but the burning intent to kill. He brought his right knee up and placed it against her stomach.

"Good bye now." This was all he said as the bone in his leg extended upward and towards her stomach. Unless she miraculously got away from him, it would slide agonizingly slow through her stomach, starting at the navel and going upward diagonaly until exiting out her back, just missing her spine and a few inches below her right shoulder blade.

*She saw the bone spear coming she knew she couldnt move from where she was pinned, and she felt it going strait through. It didn't hurt as bad as she thought it would, but she had desensitized herself to pain now. She could feel it thought...the blood coming from the entry and exit wounds and slowly spreading out from them, warm and sticky. Her mind fuzzed a bit as her mouth filled with the sweet metallic tang of her own blood, it trailed form the corner of her mouth and dripped from her chin onto D's forearm that still had her pinned. Her rapier dropped from her hand and landed with a loud clatter on the rooftop. Phia reached up with a hand wet with blood and set it on his left cheek, she ran her thumb along his cheek bone leaving a red smear and a hand print. When she spoke it was soft* Wha' ev'r ye do....Dun let 'er know...tha' it was ye tha did this to me...Please. If nothing else then dun tell 'er tha'....

Sneering as she touched his cheek, he began to laugh a low and dark laugh. "I give no gaurentees. It might...Slip out...What does it matter anyway? You're dead! Leave this world!" Pulling the spear-like bone from her gut, he raised it then swung towards her neck, the bone turning from a conical shape to a blade as it moved through the air. He meant to cut her head clean off.

*When he pulled the bone spear from her stomach she fell to the side, now unpinned. The blade narrowly missed her neck but cut a few locks of hair away. She layed there on her side, unmoving for a while. Her eyes closed tightly together as she struggled to breathe. After a few mineuts she looked up at D and her chest stopped heaving for breath, her head dropped down and her eyes closed. Her heart had one last beat before it stopped and she was gone.*

The bones that had extruded from his arms slid back into place as if it were completely natural for bones to move like that. Draeken simply glared at the corpse then nodded a bit. There was no stir of energy from him, but her body suddenly lifted into the air. Draeken faded through the roof as Phia's body was hurled in the general direction of the BC dojo. He didnt care what happened to the body. For now he had more planning to do.

Standing once again on the roof was Draeken. He was also once again facing the lake and woods beyond it. The one thing that wasnt the same as the last time was that the lake appeared to be emptying itself into the air and collecting in an already large, but rapidly growing sphere. As usual, there was no release of energy from Draeken. Either he was doing this with a very covert type of energy or magic, or something else was draining the lake into a sphere in the sky.

After five minutes the lake was drained and the sphere of water hung in mid air almost a mile wide. Inside it were the many acquatic animals that resided in the lake. Draeken stared at this sphere for a minute, then raised his right hand in front of him and pointed his palm at the sphere. Not a single bit of emotion crossed his face as he then closed his hand which by the use of quite a lot energy, increased the pressure inside the sphere a hundred fold. When he opened his hand again the pressure droppped back to normal and the now dead wildlife all fell from the sphere.

It was at this point now that Draeken reached into a pocket with his right hand and pulled out a pouch. The pouch was a nondescript beige and full of something. It was only full for a moment after it had been taken out, for Draeken upended it, pouring the contents off the roof. Before the powder that fell from the pouch had even fell a foot, it changed directions and headed into the sphere of water. Draeken then kept his right palm pointed at the sphere while raising his left hand into the air. From the bottom of the lake a large boulder was uprooted from the earth and lifted into the air to join with the sphere which was now sparkling unnaturaly due to the powder that had been put into it.

There were some who might recognize a little of what Draeken was doing here. Most would be perplexed, though, by the sphere of water with a boulder in the middle of it, suspended in mid air above a now empty lake bed. Draeken though, knew exactly what he was doing. Cupping his hands together in front of him, he closed his eye and bowed his head. This was perhaps one of the largest feats of magic and energy that he had ever performed, but the strain it should have caused him didnt even flicker across his face or through his body.

Slowly, the water would begin to glow white, growing in brightness until the sphere itself was lost within a ball of white light. It would be blinding to any that were watching and likely could be seen for many miles in every direction. The light remained steady for about a minute before it suddenly broke into two spheres, one smaller than the other, not that anyone would be able to tell through the light. It wasnt for another minute that the light would suddenly vanish. Almost all the water was gone and what remained fell back into the lake bed, but wasnt enough to even fill the bottom of its several miles of space.

Suspended in the air now were two clear and slightly curved glass like objects. The one nearest Draeken was smaller than the one further away. Smiling contentedly, Draeken put his hands back at his sides as all energy and magic flow from him ceased.

The largest of the two objects was roughly three fourths of a mile wide and perhaps several hundred feet thick, yet as clear as the best glass ever made. It could have even been cyrstal. The smaller was just as clear, but roughy one fourth the size of the larger.

After a moment of admiring his work, Draeken looked into the sky and smiled a bit more. It was a clear and sunny day. Rather warm as well. That was exactly how he wanted it. He sat down on the roof of the mansion then and leaned back a bit as he watched the two glass objects rotate until the bigger was higher in the sky than the smaller. They then tilted so that the outward curve of the largest was pointed at the sun, while the smaller had its inward curve pointed towards the sun. At first it appeared nothing was happening, but after a short moment, a cloud of smoke began to arise from the eastern most edge of the lakebed. The glass objects were lenses and were now focusing the suns light on the ground, scorching it. At the time though, it was a loosely focused ray and wasnt doing much. Draeken twitched a finger and within a second, the lenses moved closer to the ground. The larger one continued after the smaller had stopped, and got almost close enough to the smaller to touch it. This focused the ray much tighter and now the ground was being melted away at a rather fast pace.

Draeken's smile remained the same as he watched a hole be burned into the ground with these enormous lenses. After five minutes though he twitched his finger again and the lenses tiltedaway from the sun, angling themselves so tha they pointed at the middle of the lake bed from a fourty five degree angle. The next time that the sun would shine through the lenses would be in the early afternoon of the next day. Just how he wanted it.

Draeken stood then and nodded to himself. His work was done for the day. At least out here. The next phase of his work would commence inside. He took his leave then by fading through the roof and disappearing deep within the mansion.

It had been two days since the creation of the two giant lenses and since then two large holes had been burned into the earth. The depth of them was uncertain, but the one thing that was a surety was that Draeken stood on the mansion roof with a look of disspleasure on his face. It was obvious that something wasnt going according to plan. Of course, he could create those holes himself, but that would raise the chance of what he searched for being damaged. That was something that he didnt want. So he used the power of the sun instead. It was much gentler even though the temperatures he was harnessing with the lenses was nearly as hot as the sun itself. Just the fact that the glass didnt melt showed that it may not even be glass and that it was made with something other than the traditional materials. Draeken also knew though that even this extreme heat would not damage what he was looking for. Brute force though might. He was not sure on that part. He hated not being sure, but that was just how things went sometimes.

Now though, the moon was falling from the sky and he stood staring at the barren wasteland that was once the lake. He was not happy. If he could, he would create the light of the sun himself, but that wouldnt work as well, for even though he could create something nearly as hot as the sun but much closer to the lenses, that could damage what he was looking for. He must be careful.
