Definitely the only girl in my trumpet section. (: That's always fun, because you're the sister to everybody, everybody kind of nags on you. But it's entertaining. Those guys are my family haha.

I'm the only girl, and section leader, of our Trombone section. <3 Though during marching band, a friend of mine also plays trombone so that makes it a lot more fun... the guys are just so stupid sometimes. ._.
During concert band, I'm all alone in the girls-boys world. XD

I'm in an all boys low brass section for marching band, concert, select jazz and pep. But it's ok for me cause I'm section leader whee one of the guys in my section likes to be stupid and play completely wrong when we practice in sections. He doesn't listen and he is a perv. but he's alright most of the time...makes me laugh..

I loved the fact that I was the only girl in my section of 6 Bass Clarinets during marching season -- I was the section leader and made the boys do some hard s**t during our in-class and after-school rehearsals. whee
When the rehearsal would go how I wanted it, I would let them take a break and we would play our little "section song". I don't know if they still play it -- I haven't even seen my alma mater perform in 6 years.

For the first half of Marching band season, I was the only girl in the trombone section...and I played Tenor Sax....*Shivers* Wow....It was interesting. For one of our songs the band sections were split into pods. Well, our pod circled around the zero on the 40 and i heard something I could have lived without. I think two of the things that were said was that "We need to get tight....Tighter than a straight man's a** in a gay bar...." *Sigh* That was curtosy of my section leader....The other one that was said was 'Tighter than a virgin in her senior year".....I almost died that day from laughter. I'm a freshman, so that was pretty ********' funny. I told them I was gonna switch to Alto next year, I wish I hadn't....*Shivers*...

I'm one of two tuba playing girls in an eight person tuba section. I have to say, it's pretty dang fun hanging out with all the guys during band. Including me and melanie, there's only four or five girls in low brass. One girl trombone, two girl euphoniums, and me and melanie in the tuba section. =D

Our trombone girls outnumber the trombone guys. In 6th grade our band director loved how the girls outnumbered the guys 6 to 2.
Last year I marched trumpet as the only girl so my resulting award at the end was, "The girl trumpet award." How lame was that?

I was the only bass member in elementary school, and I play trombone.
In Junior High, where I'm at now, then the bass line has gotten a lot bigger but I'm the only one there thats a girl. u___u'
I have learned several things just from overhearing the tuba player and the bass clarinet.... x_x

There are two girls in our eleven person, trumpet section, and I dominate them all! It's quite nice since our second chair trumpet is pretty hot, so I get to sit by him! It's fun to be surrounded by boys. mrgreen
