Laeradr, Squire of Neptune

Laeradr smiled weakly at Caer Sidi, but she did make him feel a bit better after... the entire situation here had left him feeling so overwhelmed. He swallowed dryly, the anxiety still tingling at him just under his skin, an awful buzzing that tried to grow louder and louder despite Caer Sidi's best efforts at calming him. He struggled to maintain the facade until the meeting appeared to be over—until the Code finished giving its mandate. Go connect with your Code piece. Sounded simple enough. He could do that. He'd have to force himself to find the time as quickly as he possibly could—it sounded very time sensitive. Like they couldn't afford to not have as many resonate with their Code piece immediately. He could do this. Taking a deep breath, he nodded towards his friends and vanished from the Moon.

He'd go tomorrow.

Selenga, Page of Ida

A big botanical garden? That sounded lovely. And more in line with what was on the planet—what the whole place was about, really—than his seemed to be. He knew, of course, that Ida had been excited at the prospect of having a river on her asteroid, something that was apparently very rare—and he should have felt honored, special, even! But instead of that, he just felt more... distanced from them. Like he wasn't ever really meant to be one of their fellows. It didn't feel very good.

And then, the Code itself had a solution for them all finding their Code pieces, and what felt like his one chance at finding someone to try to connect with outside of Kaifeng or Ida herself felt like it had dissipated from his grasp like smoke in the wind.

"Uh... yeah. Yeah. We've got this," he said, summoning up a charming smile.

Alright then. He... guessed he should... go home. And... figure out when he should head to his Wonder. His chest ached a little, but he ignored it.

[Brief eating disorder internal discussion]
The churn in his stomach needed more immediate attention than his heart, anyway. Letting it all come up would provide a good distraction, a satisfying one, replace the ache in his heart with the burn of stomach acid in his chest and provide a sense of relief, of accomplishment. Yes. Good. He could do that, once he left.

Erytheia pondered that there were so many pieces that it might be impossible to put a number on. The vastness of it all was too much for him to comprehend. He was simply human and not like the Code that could connect across time and space.

“If you ever need help finding them all, I will aid you.”

Also, he knew a senshi that needed no excuse to try to explore the cosmos…

Odainsaker Squire of Cosmos.

There was a soft blush that came over her cheeks when the code said it'd spare her the lecture this time. She began to nod as she listened to the code talking about what needs to be done in order to help her wonder and the code piece there.

She nodded, "I-I would appreciate someone to come with me, at least... the first time I know that's silly. But going somewhere strange - - even if it's just this life that it's strange."

She looked around at those left. "Thank you." She added looking towards the light that was the code, "I'll look for you on my wonder." She nodded. Now, to find someone to venture with her.

Squire Irkalla

Irkalla merely nodded in response. There had probably been more senshi at that gathering than knights, but she had hardly been in a position to make an observation on her assumption. Whatever the outcome, they had prevailed and shut down another Negaverse operation and all that jazz. So the side of good won and civilians were safe once more.

Irkalla flinched at this last question before lowering her gaze to the ground. The awful truth was she wasn't sure how to answer that question. Could she simply make something up and extol virtues on a place that probably wasn't as grand ... or could she admit the truth? Her fingers danced along the length of her cord before the woman sighed. Her gaze lingered on the others that occupied the room and she had heard what the Code had said about needing to go to their respective Wonders but still, there was a nervous fluttering in her soul about what sort of hijinks that could ensue if she opened that door. Once open, it would never be able to be closed again.

Opting for the truth Irkalla brought her gaze to meet Mamertine's before she simply blurted it out, "I don't know. I've never gone yet. I don't know if that makes me unworthy to be caught up in this whole debacle or not. Now it seems that I have no choice to go and at least do what we've been instructed to do."

Although, how did one resonate with something that seemed to be inanimate, Irkalla wasn't exactly sure. But it looked like it would be something that she would have to do: the sooner, the better.

Page Sawtooth of Saturn

Well, it wasn’t really uplifting to hear that they could return home, to their wonders, and find them potentially severely damaged. Sawtooth was as invested as he could reasonably be, so whether he had very much to show for it or not, it still stung to think any of his towers may not be intact… Somewhere he was working on restoring, that he spent several days a month at, just- wrecked. Because of ‘something.’ He guessed they were lucky neither he nor Regal had been on their wonders at the time, just in case, but a part of him couldn’t help but feel like they could’ve done something, if they’d been there…

It probably wasn’t as bad for someone like Sawtooth, who was just a Page and had quite limited access to his world, than it was for these Transcended Knights. Still bad, though.

But besides the small chance of danger, he found that he wasn’t incredibly put off by anything the Code said. It made it seem like nothing would be impossible to restore, like latent magic may handle some of the heavy lifting, and if they just showed up and wanted badly enough, maybe there wouldn’t be much else to it. He was a little doubtful of the methodology, but who was he to question it?

Either way, they had to be there.

That suited him fine. If it wasn’t a lengthy practice, Tesla would be perfectly content with Eli’s mother for a bit longer. She’d be disappointed to not join them, but at least he and Regal would have an interesting story or two to tell her about- provided Regal could be convinced to take care of this now, which-

“Mhm…” The sound hummed out of him as he tipped his head, weight swishing to the side to knock bodily, but lightly, into Regal’s smaller figure. “Sounds like something we should go ahead and do. Don’t figure there’s much to get out of waitin’.” If the Code really did need everyone to do this as soon as possible, and it was for all knights’ benefit, something others were relying on him for, Sawtooth felt pretty sure Regal would get behind it.

Like eighty percent sure.

Leaning in, he twined a finger around one of Regal’s, offering him a lopsided smile. “Yours, or mine?”

Havasu sighed when it became abundantly clear that he would have to return to his wonder to get the damn code squared away. He didn't want to.... so very much so but he was not about to shirk his duty. "I know just where mine is so I'm ok Venice." The knight smiled at his friend even as he shook his head at the offer for assistance. "But I'm more then happy to help any of you three, or your side of things Vimi." He assumed that Vimi would hit her brother up for help but if she, or any of them really, needed help Hav was more then happy to. Just as long as he didn't get trapped on anymore wonders. "And of course, take all the time you need my friend, you definitly earned it!" The man clapped Venice on the shoulder as he assured him that taking the needed time off was more then reasonable.

And that reminded him....

The knight turned towards the code once more and verified that a slight delay wouldn't be overly harmful. He needed to get home and try to get his real life stuff sorted before doing any extended trip for knight work. Which is what this whole thing seemed like it would be. With that all squared away, and his mind already working on his next steps, Hav faced his friends once more and smiled rather ruefully, "Guess we should get going. This mess won't fix itself."

Regal, Squire of Chronos

His fingers were in his hair again, raking backward as he tried to disentangle the soft strands from the little points of his headpiece. “This is not what I wanted to do today,” Regal reminded his husband, slightly exasperated by both the flood of information- and the knowledge that they needed to go and fix it now. Now! Maybe that was fine for people who didn’t have jobs or young children, or maybe even just those who had a partner who wasn’t involved in all of this, but it was…

It was a little ridiculous to expect both Regal and Sawtooth to just drop everything and solve this immediately! And it was frustrating- really frustrating!- that his husband was just going to do it, no further questions.

Their relationship was built, perhaps unfortunately, on Elias’ decision-making abilities and Thaddeus’ trust that his husband would have their best interests at heart and wouldn’t press Thad on things he couldn’t manage. Regal wasn’t incredibly likely to speak up much if something displeased him or didn’t work for him, and it had always worked out that Eli would pursue what was right for them as a unit. But ever since they’d gotten involved in this war thing…

He didn’t even let the thought fully surface. Just rolled all his doubts into a tight little ball and tucked them into the recesses of his mind. There was seldom a time when Regal wanted to do knight things, but it was for the safety of their city. Where they lived, where their daughter lived.

He trusted Sawtooth, and this was important to him…

Significantly more so than it was to Regal. The farther away they went from this moment, the less important it would feel, he was sure. Perhaps so much so that he would neglect the obligation all together. He punched his tongue between his teeth, crystalline gaze landing on the dopey expression his husband wore. Regal’s first. Because Sawtooth would still be motivated after that was done, and he wasn’t sure he could say the same for himself.

His fingers hooked tightly around Sawtooth’s in response, and he whispered out a tight, “Mine,” before he pulled them away.

Einhornhöhle - Squire of Cosmos

Despite Sava’s attempt to reassure her with all the confidence she possessed, that this task they were given was a good idea and would be easy, a wave of unease washed through her.

“I’m ok with going to yours first,” she smiled, though there was no joy in her expression or light in her eyes. “But I don’t know if it would be safe for us to travel to mine. We’ll have to see...”

Einhornhöhle did not possess the proper equipment to go spelunking through the labyrinth of caves, although she might be able to ask Harvey to borrow some of his, nor did she have access to tools to bypass any obstruction they might find themselves faced with from the cave-ins she had found months ago.

Thankful for her reassurance and optimism, she gave Sava’s hand a squeeze. “I have time now if you’re ready to find yours.”

Nile, Knight of Uranus

Nile snorted, sticking his tongue out at his husband for added effect. "You're no fun." But all the same, he seemed to relax some, leaning more so against Lyonesse instead of just hanging off him.

"I'd be willing to bet my piece is in a similar situation to yours, Aventine. I've got tunnels that are half collapsed, half flooded or buried... God knows what else." Nile didn't even want to begin to think where it could be outside the main compound. "I probably should have been better about looking for it... For anything." Maybe he should look... He'd talk about it with Lyon later, see if they could make things easier.

The Knight's gaze slid over to Aventine for a long moment before going back to his husband. "Ten years or so? Give or take a year. Each mind you." Pushing his hood back finally, Nile scratched lazily at his neck. "The closest to something like this that I can recall is... a nullifier of sorts? Had a friend who had to wear it. Negated his abilities, made him look like something else. That sorta thing ya know? But that was able to be removed, where as... this can't? Sorta?" Nile shrugged. "Then again, I was a Captain back then so."

Necromanteion, Squire of Saturn

Necro tried not to shrink under Michel's initial grumble. He hadn't meant to make trouble for him. He was right. There were probably other's he could have sought out... Even if he could count on one hand the number of people he knew here...

At best.

He blinked dumbly as his wrist was snatched up and he was dragged away. Necro glanced at Michel, and shrugged, words failing him at the moment. He just hoped that the Knight understood that he was just as confused about the behavior. Necro wriggled his wrist, just enough so that he could actually grab Lupu's hand in his and giving it a gentle squeeze.

Now it was his turn to sulk though as the Code mentioned their wonders and looking for some piece. Necro wrinkled his noise at the thought. He... He probably should do that though... It was something he was suppose to be doing, should be doing. "...Yes please." He said quietly. "Dunno if I can stomach going to mine alone. I can help look for yours too? I dunno if it will show for me but it's atleast more ground covered right?" It shouldn't be too hard to find a few pieces right? Nothing they couldn't handle.

Antisana, Squire of Pluto

He was quiet at Meninx's questions. Even if he didn't necessarily hide the issues he faced, he wasn't sure how much of them were appropriate to share when they were here for something entirely unrelated. "I did not know to look for it," Antisana admitted with a little shrug, head dipping to inspect something closer to the ground rather than anyone in particular. "I did not even know it existed and had had no interaction with any part of the Code previously." This was still the only time he had seen or been in the presence of a Cornerstone Piece. The little floating light ball on Antisana was not so vocal.

He wondered if it would've snooted something condescending at him for the shitty situation he'd gotten himself into. "But there were— are... other complications," he continued, trailing quietly off.

The youma were going to kill him. Indra was just a stupid human man who could not keep up with all this, and it didn't matter how many allies he had because no one could just sit with him forever— The monsters were in his house. And he had a job and family, and he couldn't. He just couldn't. Do. Anything. To have peace. For thirty ******** minutes. Sleeping was absolutely out of the question. At his lowest, he'd genuinely wondered what taking the easiest path would actually look like, and it hadn't bothered him that he just didn't exist in that picture.

"The complications made it really difficult to spend prolonged stretches of time on Earth, so even as a Page, I spent as much time on Antisana as I could." More time than he sustainably could, even. Stretching out the seconds as long as his body would let him. "I needed help, asked for it, and the Code provided. I think I found the piece on Antisana specifically because it wanted me to."

And now the main piece wanted all of them to. He imagined it would not be terribly difficult. Hopefully.

"I am happy to help if you have concerns. I know nothing of Mars or Ganymede, but I do still have a preference for spending as little time on Earth as possible, so it would be of no inconvenience to me if either of you thought company would be helpful."

Meninx, Squire of Mars
    (With Antisana and Maya)

Meninx hadn’t hosted anyone at his Wonder and he was immediately a bit on edge at the idea of suddenly bringing two near-strangers to visit. There wasn’t a reason for him to be on guard; it wasn’t like he had any real reason to be worried about company. What could they do there, anyway? Kick some dirt? Nothing bad. And two extra sets of eyes would be helpful when he wasn’t even sure he had any idea what he was looking for.

Antisana said he found his Code piece because it wanted him to.

Meninx had to hope his felt the same way.

“Company would be welcome,” Meninx decided. In part, he didn’t know what he was doing, but it felt right. He had to trust that it was the will of his Wonder asking him to suck it up and get some help. “If you’ve got time, I can take you both now.”

…Better to get this done as quickly as possible. Especially while he had some free time.
