 Shirou didn't know what he was going to tell this man but he knew he had to find him at lest and talk to him and after a short drive he found him sitting at a bus stop and pulls up to it and parks the car and looks over at the broken man."Thomas get in man we need to talk."He says as he opens the door.and he gave the man a smile

Nancy Harpenter Thomas looked up as he noted it was just an officer walking by sighing he leaned his head down only to see a car pull up and tell him to get in... It was shirou. blinking he slowly checked his watch frowning,"I only got about an hour if we can make it quick...", he said picking up his suit case he opened the door and frowned as he got into the car,"Where is nancy? Is she okay?", he assumed she had been with shirou at the festival and he didn't know what else to do but stare blankly at the scenery infront of him as shirou drove.

Shirou smiles and starts driving when he got in."Don't worry shes safe at home it seems she rain all the way there after your proposal she told her mother and then I was filled in."He says as he parks in a lot not to far form where he picked him up."Just so you know I am not mad at you or anything like that,I could tell form the party that you liked Nancy and I get it."He says looking over at Thomas and."You where following her and she was following me,she was the only one who was looking for me when I went missing,she was the only one who never forgot about me and her face kept me going the whole ten years I was gone."He says before getting out of the car and he sits on the hood."You kept her safe and looked after her for so long but she kept her eyes on me no matter what and one day poof I am back in town and she told me just a few days ago that she loved me and my feelings have stayed with me ever sense I was a child."He says looking at his wrapped arm

Nancy Harpenter Thomas watched as they came to a stop and shirou got out following him he stood next to the car listening to shirou talk about how he knew nancy since they were younger and finally at the end he nodded his head he hurt so much but he understood so much better.."i came here with my family my freshman year", he told him,"I was the new guy in school and I was akward and not good with making friends but Nancy was my saving grace", he concluded,"She was mainly my only friend in high-school and from the moment I met her I loved her to..", he told him,"I never realized someone could be so full of life but more than that she was marked as a strange girl because she believed... in you", he said turning to shirou,'I never thought she was crazy but I always wondered how she knew about a little boy with red hair who she couldn't remember of his name or what became of him.. she told me the story of the men in white and it always left a bad taste in my mouth because it was a fearful story..", he concluded,"strangers coming to pick up little kids and take them off? I never would have known..", he concluded dropping his head,"Anyways I was leaving tomorrow and I wanted to see if she felt the same way about me but I guess she doesn't...", he then turned to shirou and handed him the ring,"I bought this had it engraved and now I dont know what to do with it.. I dont wanna keep it and I dont wanna sell it you think I should just throw it away?", he said sadly,"I spent so long saving up for this promise ring but.. It all went to waste I guess because I thought nancy liked me alittle she may consider marriage one day.. I wasn't a bad person she didn't hate me but its okay..", he told shirou,"I may never be Nancy's husband but I can be her doctor one day and I'm going to finish school become a doctor and then come home so I can take care of her when she is sick", he smiled,"It will be the only thing I can do for her now.. and... I think I can live with that", he told him.

Shirou looked at the ring and smiles before handing it back to him."You keep a hold of this and remember your promise."He says as he removes the cover over his arm so he could see it and he holds it out."I wish you the best thomas and I hope that one day when you come back we can all have a drink again,wright her every now and again and if you ever need any thing don't be afraid to ask you are her friend and we both know she would bend over backwards for you."

Nancy Harpenter Thomas cringed alittle at the statement,"Uh... yea... I hope not", he told him,"I would for her but I hope she doesn't bother with doing that for me", he commented,"I know its a figure of speech just makes me feel uneasy it involving her..", he confessed he looked at his watch,"We have to head back though.. my bus should be coming soon", he concluded as he got back into the car,"I guess I'll just have to hang onto it.. maybe it will be a reminder of what could have been but never was.. oh gosh...", he sighed,"I hope I have to sell it for books or something..", he concluded.

Shirou got back into the car and looks at him."You do what you need man just know you have friends back at home who are willing to give you a hand."He says with a grin as he drops the car into gear and burns out doing and spins the car before pulling out of the lot and driving down the street he pulls up to the bus stop and looks at him."Don't worry about a thing ok."He says with a smile as he puts the car into park.

Nancy Harpenter Thomas sighed as he finally got out of the car waving goodbye to shirou,"If ya mean not worrying about her I think you have that covered", he smiled to him waving goodbye as he turned his head seeing the bus and with a final sigh thomas got onto the bus and took off... He wouldn't be in there town for the next 8 years.....

Shirou waves as he watches him get on the bus and then gets his car into gear and takes off back to his house and parks on the side of the street and looks over towards the festive as the fire works start going off and he gets on the roof and watches them before he falls asleep

Nancy Harpenter Nancy blinked her eyes open the next day leaning forward she sat on the edge of her bed hearing the chirping of birds as she blinked slowly out her window... She remembered small bits and pieces last night... her and shirou having fun then thomas trying to propose to her... and then it all hit her against and she began to cry softly in her bed that morning remembering what an idiot she was...."I why didn't I just tell him from the start.. it would have never worked.. I just kept ignoring it", she sniffled feeling her heart crushed because she broke her own friends heart she blinked slowly,"And shirou..", she sighed she wasn't sure what she was thinking last night but why would she just leave shirou like that! she beat herself up for that as well even when her mom called for breakfast it wasn't until mary came up the stairs and said,"Nancy get out of bed your being lazy", did her mother hear a response,"I'm not hungry", she told her quietly. Her mom said,"What!? What do you mean your not hungry! You never tell me that get out of bed young lady", she told her with hands on hips. Nancy said it feebly again,"I'm not hungry I dont want to leave my bed anymore...", she rolled over and threw the blankets over her head as her mother growled,"Fine no lunch or dinner for you today either young lady!", she told her while she was hoping that would move nancy nothing did and in defeat Mary went back downstairs to tell her husband the conditions and serve him breakfast.

Shirou soon woke up to the feeling of the sun on his skin and he slowly opened his eyes and shortly after he heard the door to his house shut and his mom Yelled out."Shirou where are you."And he shakes his head and yawns before jumping off the roof."I am here mom no need to yell."He says as he stretches and he looks at him."You had me worried you never came back in after coming home."SHe says and he sighs."Ya sorry about that i fell asleep on the roof last night."He says with a laugh before going inside to take a shower.

Nancy Harpenter Mary sighed after breakfast dishes were washed and put away she went outside to begin laundry her daughter still in bed locked up in her room... She forgot she had to stop by and give Irisviel a recipe of some yeast roles her grandmother had made for her... She hummed away as she hung out the laundry to dry as she slipped on something descent and headed over to the neighbors house she arrived and smiled as Irsviel answered the door ,'Oh we were just finishing up breakfast", mary smiled, "Sorry to intrude I wanted to drop off this recipe it seems I nearly forgot with all the chaos", she told her as her friend laughed ,"Its is alright you want to come over for some tea?", she asked Mary pondered ,"Soon I need to do abit of mending first also nancy is being stubborn this morning she didn't eat breakfast and refuses to leave her bed I'll have to give her something to drink at least or she will dehydrate in that high attic room", she sighed smiling she left her friend and headed home as Shirou's mother returned to her family at the dinner table.

Shirou was eating when he over heard Nancy's mother talking at the door and a worried look came over his face and once he was done he got changed and showered and headed over to Nancy's house and knocked on the door."Miss Harpenter I over heard you this morning and I would like to go talk to Nancy if you don't mind."He says when she answered the door.

Nancy Harpenter Mary had tea on the kettle and was mending when she heard the door she answered and smiled ,"Oh hello shirou", she said allowing him in,"Okay let me prepare her some tea real quick hopefully you can get her to drink", she told him ,"Otherwise.. I'll just have to wait our her stubbornness", she concluded setting up the tray she handed it off to him ,"Goodluck shirou", she then went back to her mending allowing shirou to go upstairs. Nancy had been brooding in bed most of the day but apart from that glum that clung to her she fell in and out of sleep she became rather hot so in the process she just to her thin night gown and was laying ontop of the blankets her window open trying to catch a breeze as her face was flustered from the summer heat.

Shirou smiles and nods."I understand will hopufully she will be back to her normal self soon."He says before taking the tray and heading up to her room and he knocks on her door."Hey Nancy you ok in there you're mom sent me up with some tea can i come in?"He asks.
