Al moved to stand by Melvin and clapped a hand stiffly on his shoulder, "Corbin McAy." Yes he used his real name. This was ******** Atlantis and they already proved you don't play ******** games with them. Never mind the fact the runes were glowing an angry red that made him sick to his stomach. He wanted to survive this, he really did, but he was suddenly starting to think they were in worse danger than he'd initially anticipated.
"I'm here with Melvin to return what belongs to you."

Diving down into the depths was both familiar and new to Cami. You couldn't grow up on an island without having some familiarity with scuba but this was deeper, darker, than she'd ever been before. Yet she took the time to dry off and dress before approaching the door to make the introductions that seemed to be required.
Pulling the towel from around her hair Camille couldn't help but hug herself. "Camille Vanessa Ryland. Named after my mother, basically. I'm here because I want to see the sun again. I want to go outside and feel warmth. And I'm here because somebody died for this and I don't want anyone else to." Literally anyone.
Introduction made she cut her gaze over to Melvin. "And what if it doesn't let us in?"
Kim could only follow. Yeah her death had been kind of sucky. Was she actually dead when she could follow along like this? What if someone detected she was there, would she be pulled into some weapon or something?
She heard Terry's comment, and laughed softly. "As if love.. as if. I had no plan to die.. and yeah, rather be torn to pieces by some huge a** monster..." She didn't believe she was dead either.
Huni Pi
She then dove down to follow the others, not having much else she could manage without a body. At least she wouldn't drown....

Melvin shot a look over at Zane. What part of security system wasn't obvious by the disembodied voice and red lights didn't scream that this was a serious situation. Going along or the ride could risk him his life or at least injury.
He looked startled as he felt a hand on his shoulder and saw it was Al. He nodded to him and was glad he was being being professional with the Atlantis ...security system?
As for Camille, he looked over at her, and if he had to be honest, he just had one answer. - Melvin shrugged.
Honestly, he was surprised they made it this far.

Rep nodded. "Yeah. I guess." Because when he thought about it, he didn't want to be responsible for Jordan coming to harm, not being there to help him if he needed it.
"Might be suicide though." he said, before adding. "But so is ******** everything on this island."

Henry didn't have a towel or a spare change of clothes, so he looked a bit like a wet dog as he moved up to stand beside Cami as she made her introduction. All of this; the darkness, the red runes, the request from the disembodied voice. All of it was just this side of terrifying, and it left the young man digging his own fingers into his arms to physically hold himself together.
"Uh, Henry Wilde," he'd say in what was more or less a steady voice, pale eyes flicking around the large entry way. "I'm here to, um. To try to help restore the peace between Atlantis and Deus." Half truth. "And so Cami didn't have to come alone."
Not that she was alone, but Henry didn't know if she was close to anyone else that was present. Regardless, he was here, if she needed him.
Lips pressed in a thin line, he turned to pass a glance two Luka and Lena. If it'd come down to it, he'd have come for them as well, because they were his friends too, and he didn't want to see anything happen to them either.
Jordan breathed a small sigh of relief. If Rep had decided to swim back to the main island, he would have followed; the grasping water was dangerous, and the thought of Rep being pulled beneath the water with nobody there to see was a suffocating one. "Take that risk every time we go out on a mission," he agreed, and watched as the last of the group submerged. "Guess we'd better go."
Each hunter would first feel their own, unspoken feelings reflected back upon them...and then they would find themselves aware of the feelings and thoughts of those around them as well. The doors opened.
"But malice is not detected. You may enter."
Atlantis opened to the group. No gentle blue lights or guide for them this time. It was a dark place but not pitch black, but the dim and constant movement of sunlight filtered from far, far above water. After leaving the area and stepping upon the main road through the city, a red light appeared far ahead of them. A baleful and singular guide.
"Proceed to the courthouse."
They can still hear each other's thoughts.
steal
Kim cannot hear any of the hunters' thoughts and no one can hear hers. Instead she finds herself confronted by a crowd of still, ghostly figures lining the road. She can't talk to them, but she can sense their feelings of loss and upset.
Of all of them Kim likely had the easiest time or so it seemed ar first glance. She drifted to the sad spirits, expressing her own sorrow and loss to them in turn. She had only made things harder for each of them. None could seem to feel her though, they only watched. This was her doing, and she was going to ensure it went right. Okay maybe not ensure but she would do asnshe could. They were all so hurt and sad. She stopped several times saying sorry, but it was useless. How could she make amends? So she drifted on following the others a silent watcher. Taking in waves of dark depressing feelings, each etching into her, expressing to her how much damage she did. If no one else wanted to make ammends, she sure did now. No one needed this sadness, this all encompassing loss.

They weren't dead yet, but the tone of the voice was not thrilled by them either. They were on thin ice and about to walk into dangerous waters. When the doors opened, he gripped the artifact more tightly.
Atlantis didn't owe them any favors and was powered by a machine that he wasn't sure even took concepts like mercy and forgiveness into consideration despite being able to pick up on concepts like malice. His heart was abuzz with nerves as he slowly stepped through the doors. Courtroom. They were being judged and he had brought everyone here for punishment they didn't deserve for the selfish actions of one person. A lump lodged in his throat as he looked about into the dim darkness and the light ahead.
- uld of left them at the door to wait but thats probably going to be seen as shady and disrespectful and now the courtroom has a roster of those coming to represent the whole of Deus for the selfish mistakes of a dumb little girl. I should have just left everyone on the island. I've done this dive plenty and I was the one that didn't make sure Kim didn't take anything or come here sooner. Why did I think to even bring anyone to see this place when they just seek out to gain it was just such a wonder and I didn't wanna be selfish but now selfishness is gonna get us all killed and if this was gonna happen maybe they should have taken her life down here than a child throwing a fit drowning a person isnt hard I'm sure and does a security system with limited energy reserves even can be pleaded with I mean its amazing that it can detect malice but that just means it probably can detect lies as well and just take into consideration that kind of level of technology putting us on trial This is juat like that damn Creation Tree who now thinks we are ungrateful for its protection so now we have to deal with whatever punishment thats going to bring on we are so ******** in here and it hasnt powered down for weeks of sending rain and golems at us so it possibly has a endless reserve to see this all through and if we don't appease it then its just going to really go crazy against everything else I dont want to loose more people or piss this ancient civilization off more I just hope the Leads dont find my body if this goes under Or Hell if the island goes under cause I'm sure they'd just resurrect me to kill me again with their bare hands or whatever pets they keep somewhere And if the plug gets pulled then Im never going to be able to research this place even on my own Why the hell would you take something when Sophie and Babel told you not too and why didnt I just take it from her after the Sahara and that 1 year island and damn if they can send a golem to make us live a year in an imaginary island we could spend an eternity on some strange snow globe universe and I dont even talk well with most everyone her. What is this item we took Creation said it had a family did we steal merpeople if this is the royal family in my hands then we just kidnapped someone and i know nothing about this culture because i barely got a chance to check their library and who knows if guillotines are above them I hope Sophie isnt mad at me I -"
This mind dump kept going.

Seren felt suddenly overwhelmed by her grief and determination to get this right. It was overpowering. But when the voice said to enter, and head to the courthouse, she did, refusing to let her emotions overcome her.
...to make it out alive, for her sake. I can't fail this, I can't fail her...
And then she started getting the rest of it. She staggered for a moment when what felt like a wall of thought hit her mind. She didn't know who it was, but she did know that the words made her more depressed, and also kind of angry.
And aware that people were hearing things maybe they shouldn't. All of this flashed through her head in vague thoughts, not with formed words. Then words reformed again.
I'm sorry I couldn't help you, Kim. We'll get this back, we can do this. I'm here to help, since you aren't. I know you did the action that caused this but you were my friend. This will be done.
She focused on those thoughts, in a loop, not wanting to let anything else slip.
Kim continued her walk, slowing now to touch on the sadness and lonliness and upset around her, trying to find any specific details, something that would lead her to an idea of what she could do to help things. She moved closer to the ghosts, one hand reaching to brush them, saying sorry to each as she passed. "I will fix what I can. I was greedy, selfish and brought harm on both of our sets of people.."
They couldn't hear her, she could see that but she was still trying. She kept walking knowing at the end of this path was something that needed to be done. She couldn't tell what was going on with anyone else, just that something was. She was so greedy. She was filled with regret, and more than that, a desire to set things right and learn from her error. "I will do right by you all..."
It took time to learn to be a good person, it took lessons that she had missed. she was learning thought that she needed to be part of a team to be treated as part. She was also kind of dead, so maybe it was too little too late?
"My name is Kimberly Whitmore, I have traveled here to the labyrinth beyond the Goblin city to return that which has been stolen from you... and make things better cause I am an idiot. I want to fix that, know that." She moved to some others, and once more reached to them. ((sorry added to above, was on tablet.))

Relief washed over Al as they were decidedly not immediately killed, but anxiety still twisted up in his gut.
Courthouse? He thought - out loud apparently. I've never been to ******** court. Am I even dressed for this? He glanced down at himself in a way he thought was subtle. Right. Wetsuit. Of course I'm not ******** dressed for this. Judge is going to take one ******** look at me and that's it. I'm done. I look like I'm wearing a giant ******** condom and that's what they're going to put on their records.
He glaaanced around. Who the ******** said that? Who the ******** was thinking exactly what I was thinking? Oh. s**t. ********. What the ******** have you gotten us into?? He was staring, wide eyed at Melvin. Blame shifting rapidly to guilt in the face of the man's own thoughts. s**t Melvin... I'm worried. Please don't. I can't help you. I can't help anyone. I want to, but I just can't. I'm still trying. I'm scared. I don't want to die here. I want Noah.
He peered away at the ground, hearing his own thoughts playing out somehow made them worse and they didn't simply just stop because you willed them to. They kept going in an endless cycle. The more you pushed against them, the harder and louder they pushed back.
I'm sorry.

The look Soleil turned on Zane after his introduction included a raised brow, and though there was clearly a question that should have accompanied it, there wasn't time to ask it. The voice spoke up again, causing the tall Mist trainee to back up until she was standing shoulder to shoulder with the Sun, just barely resisting the urge to reach for his arm.
The Sahara had been horrible but this seems almost worst. At least in the desert there hadn't been time to really consider what might happen. Here? Here it's all suspense and waiting.
And then a flood of thoughts that had nothing to do with her own. Energy masculine, and not Bjorn. She blinked, looking first at Zane before pale eyes flicked to every man present in turn. If I can hear them, they can hear me as well?
Frowning, she tried very hard to blank her mind, but had about as much luck with that as one might have imagined. Don't think. Don't think. ********. This sucks. I don't want to be here. Our damn leader doesn't even know what's going on, and now we're being judged for some stupid girl's reckless selfishness? s**t!

Were we supposed to feel penitence for something they themselves weren't responsible for? Zeke certainly didn't. Well s**t, that bodes well.
The door opened regardless, and through it was darkness upon darkness with a singular point of red light in the distance to guide their way. He stared at it for a long moment before letting out a puff of a breath and starting forward. Standing around wasn't going to get anything done, and he really had no patience for just standing around and waiting for something else terrible to happen to them.
Even still, the small voice in his head that insisted that heading to this courthouse was a bad idea wasn't quite loud enough to drowned out his curiosity for where they were. A little more light would be nice. Enough navigate, to actually see the city around them.
He paused a few feet past the doors to look back, brows arched at Cee.
