 "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Channeling a demon took a lot out of you; Hatsu settled near the edge of the station and rested against a bench following taking down the swarm of demons and tried to catch his breath. It wasn't quite over, the fight against the demons that kept filing out of the alleys, but they were making a foolish mistake in grouping together so close in the street when the Hindu God of Destruction was standing right before them in all his terrifying wonder and glory. He laughed as he took on a stance that was akin to the beginning pose of a dance, and then opened his eye and unleashed the fire of his rage.
"PASUPATAAAAAAAAA!"
Demons reduced to ash, eardrums reduced to tatters. Did he really have to shout the name of the attack every time? ...Yes, yes he did. "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Demons reduced to ash by Pasupata dissipated into the wind...those who remained, Hatsu dealt with once his wind had returned to him. Standing from the bench he rushed out past his demons and let his fists fall in the face of the devils still descending upon the shelter; not one would get into the park while he could still fight. He would embody his ideals until the end, see the world of equality to fruition...he and Ronaldo and Seika would remake the world. They had to do it...
He caught his breath after the last demon had fallen and turned back to the gate of the station, wondering aloud to himself if it wasn't time to go on the offensive...at long last. They were safe here right now, but they weren't gaining numbers. I'll help," the university student's eyes shot open as he saw a hole being torn in one of the walls of the park that they had built up as a barrier, a powerful devil forcing its way in where all of the humans were defended by Ronaldo's Egalitarianism Faction. His Zaou-Gongen flashed through to the other side and cut down the devil forcing its way in...Beelzebub's darkness cursing the rest in that swarm to an early grave. They were trying to find the time to go out and fight some of the other factions, but the overwhelming number in attack made it difficult to get out...they couldn't simply leave people to die to suit their own goals, right?
"Ronaldo...where is he?" he asked one of the men guarding the gate when they caught a breather, but he could only shrug his shoulders in response, "Aa...we need to find him. This plan...it won't hold out forever." "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."It had taken a little while to repair the walls, but by the time that they were up, the strike team led by Ronaldo and Joe had already left the area; Airi and Otome had left the shelter to go set up an ambush at a nearby auditorium for anyone who came to the city that they knew and could lure in. It was underhanded, but you did what you had to do in order to preserve the future of the world. That was the thinking, but Hatsu still wasn't a bit fan of it. And so it was just he and Seika for the moment in this shelter, the one they had defended with all their strength for seven days now, and a kiosk just beyond the gate that they stood before as Hatsu did what he had been tasked to do...summon the Trumpeter and try to appeal to him.
"Aa...arise. Help us," he called out softly and the devil came overhead, its trumpet blaring loudly at the two of them, "We need your help...to be Benetnasch. Will you-"
"I'VE HEARD about that Septentro-whatever! You keep summoning me and yelling at me, you humans, and all I see is a couple of upjumped babies waving about their HUBRIS in my face! I see no reason to lend my horn to humanity...this calamity is of your own making!"
"...But we need it...to save everyone..."

"You shouldn't talk like that..."

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."Having failed to successfully call forth the Trumpeter from the kiosk near the front of the shelter, Hatsu was ready to move back inside to check on the people they had been protecting when a powerful presence nearby caught his attention. It felt like a demon, except...different? Darker, more human...he knew that feeling. Someone on the side of evil was here in the city, he knew it. He couldn't abandon the people he had spent the last seven days protecting, but he also had to fight back against any threats that presented themselves to the people Everybody in their society would help one another...they would not let the weak be left in the dust. Hatsu would rather die...die fighting for a cause that he believed in!

"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."There it was...Benetnasch...looming like the most powerful and dangerous of the Septentriones that it was. Hatsu looked up as it passed by the kiosk where he had been trying to summon Trumpeter and knew that somehow he had to turn it away from the shelter. His Beelzebub was summoned and attacked a building on the far side of its body, trying to get the fire to lure him away...and though he turned there was an explosion of power from the back that knocked the university student back...but Alice caught him with a fingertip before he smashed his head on the brick wall that would have come damn close to killing him if not doing the trick entirely. Nodding thankfully to the little devil, he stood slowly...watching as it moved on...towards the diversion. But how long it would last, he still couldn't know...
"Aa...we need to summon Trumpeter," he breathed heavily, cracking his neck and wiping away a trickle of blood from his temple, "We're running out of time..." But nothing that the villain said was going to bother him. He knew the reasons why he had made this choice, and he knew, in his heart, that he had made the right one. Any ideal in which the weak were left behind or crushed under the feet of the strong was an ideal that could not buy into. And this man? This man was not the type of person who could have dissuaded him. This man was just wrong.
"Aa...you're sad," the teen spoke as he rolled his neck, recovering swiftly (thankfully) from what could have been a fatal blow from the Septentrione...his expression solemn and his eyes hard and purposeful, "And you're weak. Seika Murakami  The red haired girl tensed as Sano approached them, in some poor attempt to tease them. Seika scoffed, standing close to Hatsu. Her fingers curled into fists... all her senses ready for a fight if it were to happen. "Back off. He might not fight you... but I won't hesitate if you try anything funny. And you will regret it."
This man... it was obvious he was taunting them... trying to get them to fight. He was probably part of some other fraction. "Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid"Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."He was happy to see Seika come out from the shelter to support him with the Messiah challenging him out in the front of their base, but at the same time, he would prefer it if the two of them didn't have to get into a fight here against him. He was confident in the abilities they both had, their odds of victory in the cause of justice against someone who embodied nothing but his own glory and pride. But this person...a person who fought for his own glory had no true fire inside of them, nothing to fight for that lifted them up and gave them purpose, made them stronger. He was hollow...and Hatsu didn't see a need to fight a man who was hollow on the inside, he didn't want to. It made him sad, instead, to see someone like this...a human who had succumbed to his own weakness and insecurity. He would rather open his arms to him, in some measure...but now, the world was crumbling around him. It made it all the harder to win a person in need over to your side when time was running out.
"Aa...you don't need to fight him," the SEES-2 veteran told her calmly, not letting any of the prodding or threats get to him, "Polaris won't listen to him. He only represents himself...we're fighting for a unified mankind. Even if we were to lose, he can't win." Sano Gallen Sano rose a brow at Hatsu as he spoke, feeling severely disappointed by his reaction. "Now this is just pathetic. I was expecting more of a raise out of you. Gin gave me a much bigger fight than you did but he lost so it wasn't that great a challenge in the end anyway." The raven haired man looked at Seika as she came out to make her own threats. Now she had some fire in her, which was more than he could say about the soft spoken one. "You can try to fight me but you'll lose as well, Woman.. And you really think you can accomplish a unified world like that? You don't have the guts.." Of course Sano was merely saying that because he believed in strength and literally fighting for what you believed in. So for Hatsu to back down from a fight means he had no back bone to support his 'ideal'.
