It was... comfortable enough, not as bad as she'd expected, and she quirked an eyebrow at Dodger as she found him staring off to space. "You still conscious?" she asked, crossing her arms over her chest as she came to a stop by him, "You look like you just got hypnotized by a drowzee." Her expression was so flat, it was obvious it wasn't a joke, or even some lame attempt at a pun. He gave her a wary frown all the same, but shook his head.
"I'm fine. C'mon, it's time for the... the gathering anyway. We're actually late," he remarked, grabbing her sleeve, and moving to lead the way, ignoring the disapproving look his actions got him.

Without the slightest bit of delay, Ajicka promptly strode off, abandoning her 'host' and making her way for the food. She wasn't exactly a vacuum, but she was hungry, and free food cut down on potential future costs (ignoring the fact that that was often offered at pokecenters). She grabbed a plate and started filling it a bit, looking around, and frowning when she noticed Dodger nervously talking to she assumed where his parents, and a guy that looked a hell of a lot like Wallace from the Hoenn league, but a bit less flamboyant, and with very different, dark blue hair instead. Ajicka strode up at a casual pace, eying the guy, and Dodger's parents (presumably), before dropping her gaze to the guy himself. "Hey, I need to make a change to my pokemon," she stated, somewhat ignoring the adults as she addressed him. Dodger turned, looking at her in uncomfortable disbelief, perhaps due to her lack of manners, as well as her statement. "Wh-what? But you just dropped them off!" he stated in a slightly hushed tone. She quirked an eyebrow -- what, were his parents not supposed to know? -- but then shrugged, popping another grape into her mouth. "They're strong. They're going to need to switch a pokemon in to balance with those lucky eggs anyway, soon," she stated flatly. He gave her a stressed look, before glancing back to the adults; his parents were eying them quizzically, but the other man looked a bit amused at the scene.
"F.... fine. Just... be polite for a second," he pleaded, earning a dead stare in response, that didn't give him much confidence at all. Lovely.

More like, he didn’t really want to talk about it. Ajicka narrowed her eyes some, frowning. Well that wasn’t suspicious…. She snapped her gaze ahead and picked up her pace, earning another small sound of complaint from her companion. She swept into the pokecenter and withdrew Metagross and adjusted his moveset, before going to give him to the trainers, insisting he be switched with Houndoom first, and then, once the lucky eggs on one of her stronger pokemon stopped working, have that one switched to put him back into training. She met the wary stare she earned for these specific requests with a flat, demanding stare, and turned on her heel once she got confirmation. It wasn’t like she was going to settle for anything less than what she’d do, after all.

Ajicka frowned to herself as the two made their way back towards the gathering. It was slowly occurring to her that this.... was the most interaction she had done in a while. Sure, sure, she'd met with Avikna and Zero back in Alola, and that did count, but... well, okay, it nullified her observation some, but she was more familiar with them. She knew who she was around them. She'd been... subconsciously uncomfortable talking to someone she didn't know this whole time, and she was only just now starting to realize it. If her memory and calculations were correct -- and she wasn't entirely sure they were, there must have been something in that food, with how fuzzy her mind was feeling -- then her team was just about ready for the Elite Four. She would double check their movesets once she got everyone back, make sure they were all set, and perhaps stock up on items, but for the most part, she only had to defeat the eighth gym leader, just inside the city, before she coudl technically take on Unova's team. That wasn't her goal, though.... So maybe she'd take them on first. Take Dodger up on his 'offer' and test herself against them, then get her eighth badge, before going back to Kanto to really try the challenge, for the title. Of course.... that might require a little heads up....

Ajicka stiffened, and turned, looking at him with a dark, annoyed expression. She didn't miss the similarity to her earlier wording. "No. Why?" she returned, pivoting to face him slightly, her eyes narrowing. He shrugged, not meeting her gaze, probably for fear he would utterly quail under the glare he was getting. "I dunno... your comment on my family earlier. And you kinda act like someone bitter about not having money," he replied loftily, but she could see him shaking slightly as he tried to keep on the bravado. Geez.... This guy was weird. Trying soooo hard to be confident.... just to smart talk to some girl. "I had money. If I wanted it. My aunt and uncle aren't rich, but they would have given me some if i wanted it. I didn't though. I'm bitter about being dragged here, and about dealing with your spineless self," she stated offhandedly, placing a hand on her hip as she shifted her wait, staring bluntly back at him. He stiffened, looking promptly offended and put out, and finally met her gaze. He remained stiff a moment, before dorpping his shoulders, and looking off to the side.
