*throught everything, hikari was back and forth between hell like a good hellhound for yuji. He rarly ever appeared, other then when he was looking for cannidates for his new prince possistions. Ameillea was ALWAYS next to Ameile. She didn't mean to be bossy at times, and she was always appoligizing for it, but she felt they were making progress. At first the people didn't even wanna be around the same area as ameile. More and more they were starting to move into the area, to speed up the work, regardless if she was there or not. Of course there were tunters, those who would mock Ameillea or Ameile, or even through stuff and pretend it wasn't them. But nothing too serious. Not yet anyways. Veria on the other hand, she was all over the place. She would check up on Ameile every two days. And more and more she seemed to be turning into worry for some odd reason. like she expected something to go wrong the longer Ameile was out and about. But the city was starting to look more like a living space again. And keria seemed to help the people unite more then before. Even little kids were with the older folk, learning as they went to help...
Meanwhile Ruji found it easyer to walk, and even breath over time. As the months of walking went, the cooldown the summoing took on him was lessioning, and he was starting to relax alittle more and starting to feel more and more like himself. He often used Sam to guard him and Evelyn when the slep, like a watch dog. This why they could both travel without one being more tired then the other. It was affishaint. But Ruji was vary skeptical of this place, the more they were within it: "perhaps so. I heard before that dessert citys liked to play eye games. You could only see them when the sun was at a certain spot, or even the moon. Could be the case... makes a good way to hide such a place as you have told me much about already." No longer did he ware the trenchcoat. He had it tied around his waist, and his boots were full of sand. What bothered him was how hot his pants were, and he thought many times about cutting them down alittle... just so it wouldn't be so hot.

Evelyn pointed to him. "That's it! I remember now." She stayed standing in her spot with just her black tank top and skinny jeans on, however noticed they were getting sweaty, which wasn't pleasant. "It only appears when the moon is at its peak, because that's when it's coolest. And the people can venture outside and travel to other kingdoms." She scratched the back of her neck and tied her hair up so that it was more managable. "Although these people are pretty much the masters of the desert anyway. But even so. We're going to have to wait until sun down." She gave herself a sun block with her hand and looked to the sky. "Should be within a few hours. Has it really been that long since we left that village this morning? That's probably why I'm so thirsty." She glanced back to him. "How are you doing? I know I'm probably in a better state than you are."

Ruji shied and drooped his arms, "I still do not like the idea of shedding clothing, that carry our gear. But even I'm starting to think it's getting unbarable. Next time, I will buy different clothing in the next village. These pants are far to thick, as well as this shirt." He shied and starched his back before shrugging it off and standing straight again. On his back was a backsack, full of things they gathered for the journey between each village they made it too. He made sure to carry it, in his eyes females were not to be carring there own luggage, expachally when there was a gentalmen there to carry it for them. It was just the right thing to do. "I do belive we have enough water to make it till tonight left. But after that, that place better be close, or the trip back could be impossible." He mentioned as he placed a hand over his eyes to look out. He pointed to a higher sand dune, "lets take refuge up there, it will be easyer to spot anything when the night comes. Hopefully the moon will arise tonight." Durring all this, he was doing a lot better at talking with the words and toung of this era. And although most would really love to see Evelyn so stripped down to just a black tanktop, it didn't seem to bother him at the slightest. At least not yet. More and more, he was learning about females in ways he never realized before. Like... the "defence" as he called it himself. The abilty to quickly defend themselves in situations with sexral males when under any circumstance. All the thieves, and people they ran into were all attacted to Evelyn for some reason. He didn't understand how attaraction worked, but he did understand what attraction was now at least.

Evelyn nodded. "Good plan. It'll be nice to rest for a bit too. And get all this sand out of my boots. It feels like we've been walking forever." She quickly started to trudge up the sand dune to get to the top. Once there, she put her hands on her hips and looked around herself. "Woah!" She smiled. "I don't remember this view." She looked out into the distance, she could just about see the village that they stayed at overnight, just at the edge of the desert, and beyond that was fragmented grassland. Flat land that went on for miles. Behind her was sand and more sand that seemed to go on forever. She sighed. "We sure have walked a long way." She looked to him. "How long's it been now? Like two months?" She sighed and fell back onto her butt in the sand, it felt nice because it cushioned her fall. She then started to unlace her boots. "I wonder how the others are doing."

*Ruji placed the back to the side fo the dune and sat down more carfully, one knee up to rest his arm on as he looked out, "probably well. Your family are vary good at endureing anything it seems. I expected they would have tracked us down actually. I'm supprized they hadn't. Then again we didn't leave many traces where we've been." He looked out for a bit before looking down the side of the dune, "it's been a long adventure already and we're just starting to get close to arriving. I suspect it will be many more months or maybe just weeks to get what we came here for." He turned and reached into the bag pulling out a jug of water and handing it to evelyn, "this is our last contanor though. So I guess after this, that's it. It's either we found it, or we may never be able too." He however gave it a smerk, he had faith that Evelyn knew it was here. He shown something to her that he didn't notice himself during the last two months, dispite her power level over him and all, he was actually vary protective over her. Even though he didn't realize he was doing so. As she took the bottle he closed the pack and flopped onto his back, arms sped out, legs tired and ready for the wondering to stop. "At least I'm finally breaking in this body of mine. It's been a good workout."

Evelyn nodded. "That's for sure. I don't think I've done this much walking in my life." She sighed and took her boot off, spilling all the sand into the dune before moving onto the other boot. "I know that it's here." She looked around herself. "Sand always changes. You can't trust sand landscape. But stones and rocks always stand firm." She point to a large rock jutting out of the ground at the bottom of the massive sand dune. "See that rock there? That's the marker. It's where the entrance to the city is going to be. We'll see it first there." She nodded and took a sip from the bottle before handing it back over to Ruji and tipping the sand out of her other boot. "It's weird stuff that I remember from my early demon days. I remember this place well, because it's the first city I surfaced in when I first became a demon. The demon overlord thought it would be a good place to test me, of course. He was a sadistic guy." She sighed.

Ruji nodded, "ah yes the demon overlord. I do vary much belive that it was the same one from me time. However if so, I am vary doughtful that shortstraw kid actually was the one to kill him. Seriously. If I couldn't, that punny kid with hardly any muscle did." He looked over to her all relaxed, "But the story it ties with the Angel of Time is vary interesting in the form of theory and aspect." Basilcy he was saying he liked the romance of it, but that's not his understanding as to what it was exacly. "I do vary much wonder what lies ahead of us." He looked to the sky, staring up at the hot sunand the few clouds, "what will become of us from now to then? Will there be a story interesting enough like theres?" He was unsure. And he was more asking himself these questions, then to her. But it was outloud, in a voice that sorta showed a less... serious side of Ruji finally. Although naturally that side wouldn't stay long as he sat up and took the bottle for a sip of his own before putting it back into the bag. "surly it will be interesting. I found our battle quiet interesting the time ago." He nodded and looked out, "dispite the heat. Just sitting here... it's sorta peaceful." he said finally after a pulse.

Evelyn nodded but shrugged. "I don't really feel the heat as much. Demons have a different nervous system to most people." She sighed. "But I'm feeling a lot more mortal these days. There was a time where I didn't have to sleep. Now I get tired a lot. I suppose I was never as powerful back in those days. I guess it wears me out now." She looked back to him with a grin. "You know I'm the one that got Kiera and Shortstraw together." She laughed. "They used to call me the matchmaker, because I've paired up so many couples within the family. It was like I blessed them or something." She shrugged. She found herself reminiscing a lot. "Amazing all this time I've spent in the family and how little I've spoken to you. You were right under my nose." She looked away.

ruji shrugged " they failed to mention your bring together of them within the story the told. but details like that are indeed somtimes accidently left out i asune." he stared out for a while this time before answering, " yuji feared me being loose. i was a part of our lives that made it through the toughest time peird and i also happen to be the oppisate element. i have nothing to do with hid flame in anyway. so after finding what i could do he locked me away for good i guess in fear i would be his downfall on purpose." anither ling pulse " from there he porobably forgot about me for centurys.. so even thougb you and i are oppisets , enemys by nature, i find we are aluje in many more ways as of late being from an older time, and all that." he finally looked to her, " i wish i was alowed to be free sooner. perhaps i could have met and helped you sooner. then at least i would understand this new world. i feel but a thorn hete, lost with only you thete to guide my way." he looked back out and smiled that rare lught snile, " its been interesting. i could have shown up with that hanna girl instead then whod kniw what id learn." his smile faded " I feel as if I ramble too much these days..." It was like he just noticed he had said a lot, over and over again.

Evelyn laughed. "You don't ramble at all. If anyone rambles it's me. Don't worry about it." She smiled a little. "I like it anyway. Talking to someone that knows full well who I am. Being around the family too much I've gone soft. Being able to battle helps me gain back a little bit of purpose." She snickered. "Although it's not like I have a choice, we're kind of stuck together after all." She laughed. "I dread to think what you'd learn with Hana. She'd probably drag you around bars and stuff. Although to be honest I'm not sure she'd be all that motivated to help you anyway. You're lucky you got stuck with me." She snickered back to him, then looked back to the setting sun which was almost faded from the horizon now.

ruji nodded, " indeed i was. i dont think i could stray to far fron you now if i was able to. i would be entirly lost." he looked down to the rock, " show time?" he reached into the pack, " it gets cold in the dessert at night, would you like your cliths back?" afterwords he put the pack on his back and put his trenchcoat back on. " i bet this place is ruff on women, most tricksters and thieves are perverted. at least, so i remeber anyways."

Evelyn shushed Ruji as she pointed back down the sand dune, where the ground started to shake slightly. "Watch." As she slowly stood up she watched as the sand began to move and things started to jut out from the ground, growing upwards. A city started to form, sand dripping down its walls and it only got taller and taller until and entire city was formed out of the ground, most of it concealed by high blackened walls that surrounded it all. From outside the front gate two giants walked out and stood guard in full shiny black armour bearing lethal pikes. Evelyn sighed. "Looks like that's our first obstacle." She however smiled back to him. "Isn't it magnificent? Of course the city isn't actually from the ground. It's some powerful illusory magic."

*Ruji lied, "huh. Magic huh. never been into magic myself." He pointed to the gaurds, "think they will let us in peacefully, if we say please? Or perhaps we'll have to make our way in. Either way those walls are to large and thick to climb, and I don't see any other way around them really..." He stood and was ready to move, "lead the way. I'll follow your lead, since I'm still the newborn of this world." He smirked alittle, a small smiling smerk. She was indeed rubbing off on him.

Evelyn patted his head patronisingly. "Follow on then, little duckling." She jumped onto the slope of the sand dune and started to slide down to the bottom where she was met with the two very large guards. They stood motionless with their great arms crossed over their chests as Evelyn looked up to them awkwardly. "Uh.. hi?" She got no reply. She looked back to Ruji with a shrug before walking forward. She suddenly got stopped by the swipe of their two pikes. "No one is allowed into the city." They spoke in booming inhuman voices. Evelyn sighed. "Not even an old friend of the city?" The two guards were silent for a moment before speaking again. "State your name and business." "I'm Evelyn the rogue pride demon. I'm here to see the king about fixing his condition." The two guards slowly looked to each other. "Miss Evelyn?" They slowly pulled back their weapons. "We apologise, miss Evelyn. The king is expecting you. Be cautious when travelling around the city, it's people are more crazed than every before." Evelyn's eyes widened. She didn't really expect that to work. "The kings expecting me?"

ruji glated, but stuck close epecting them to try and seprate him from evilyn, he was ready for a fight if need be. however once in ruyi finally said what was on his mind, " they know we are here no. And if expecting anyone, its a trap. Snooping around here is a bad idea. We should lay low for a while. Don't you think going up there us asking for it?" He made a face, daring. But he was the duckling so it was up to her. This was her mission originally, he was just going to be support... Okay maybe he already passed just as support months ago...
