Lillian tried to laugh at what Adrian had said, though thinking about having a monkey the size of a skyscraper was not something that she thought to be very funny. She watched Adrian stepping out of the Jeep and slipping. For a moment everything seemed to slow down and she could not believe what was happening right in that moment. 'Are you serious...? Why the heck did this have to happen? As if things aren't already bad enough for him right now...' she thought, grumblin as she went after Adrian. She knew that the water wasn't all that deep at the edges of the pond, however, she still wanted to get Adrian out before he drowned. She skidded down to the edge of the pond, waded in and felt herself slipping under. Although she caught herself and was soon turning her attention to Adrian, pulling him from the water. "Gosh, this is just not your week is it...?" she said, thinking of everything that had happened to Adrian and what might potentially end up happening to him.

Adrian coughed up a little water, sighing. "I guess not... though fortunately if we got sleepy that would have woken us up," he said, shivering slightly at the cold water of the pond as he stumbled up onto the shore, careful to evade the muddy area. He inhaled slowly, feeling the pain recede even faster outside of the city. "What is happening to me? Is it related to nature... or something older?" he thought, unintentionally whispering the thought to Lillian without realizing it. "Took you two long enough," a deep smooth voice said as if mildly amused at their situation. "Follow the leopard, he'll lead you to us," the man's voice said with amusement. Indeed, there was a leopard sitting at the base of a tree across from the Jeep, its deep golden orange eyes locked on both Lillian and Adrian.

Lillian shivered as she wrung the pond water from her hair. "Yeah... I think that I have a jacket in the back of the Jeep that you could use. I'm all right with being soaked in pond water like this, though I think that you should probably dry up and try to keep from freezing or something... I know that it's not really all that cold, but it can be at night." she said, getting ready to go to get that jacket she mentioned, yet she did not as she heard someone speaking. Her eyes darted over to the leopard that was sitting not too far from her and Adrian. She was a bit dazzled by the big cat, though she knew that it was a predatory animal and there was no telling what might happen if she were to just waltz right over to the gorgeous animal and try stroking its fur. "That is the most beautiful animal I have ever seen." she said softly, looking at the leopard in awe. She knew that she should be focusing on the important matters, though when it came to animals, well she had a very strong weakness; true, she prefered dogs and wolves, though she still liked big cats too.

Adrian tilted his head, thoughtful as the large cat half turned, clearly expecting them to follow. He barely felt the chill that Lillian mentioned, unaware that his body temperature, had a doctor checked it, would have found his body temperature to currently be 112˚, which he should have been dead from heat exhaustion at, yet he didn't seem to notice any ill effects whatsoever as he started to walk around the pond, which he gauged to be eighteen feet across at its widest.

Lillian went to get that jacket she'd mentioned, though when she went to give it to Adrian she saw that he was already making his way around the pond, following the leopard. She shrugged and assumed that he didn't mind the cold or didn't feel it. So instead of putting the jacket back she tossed it on and took off after the leopard and Adrian, being sure that she did not fall into the pond.

Adrian paused, offering his hand to Lillian to help her, as he noticed the ground went up and down in fairly steep sloping hills ahead, unaware that his body temperature was unnaturally high.

Lillian thought that she was doing pretty good with getting around the slippery edge of the pond, that was until she nearly slipped clean into it. She saw Adrian's outstretched hand and she gladly took it, yet when she did she noticed his hands were way warmer than they should have been. "Adrian... You're hands are burning up... Are you all right?" she asked, checking to see if Adrian had noticed his overly high body temperature. She was sure that he had to have noticed because who wouldn't know that they were burning up? Although, she couldn't really be sure what Adrian could be aware of with everything that was happening to him all at once.

Adrian frowned slightly at Lillian's words, concerned. "Other than feeling like I was used as a soccer ball for a herd of stampeding horses and feeling like somebody put my aching head in a dryer, not too bad," he said, glancing down to where she held his hand. "Either you're getting chilled out here... or something really strange is going on," he said cautiously.

Lillian was looking at Adrian with concern as she awaited an answer from him. She was a bit chilly, though she didn't think that she was cold enough to think that Adrian's hands were as warm as they felt. "That sounds terrible... Although I can only imagine how you'd feel after sounding like you were going to break apart or something... And I don't think that it's that cold out... If the breeze doesn't pick up then I'll be fine... I hope that you're going to be all right... No one should be as warm as you are... It might fry your brain or something..." she said, her last few words a bit pessimistic, looking down as she tried thinking of something that might lower Adrian's temperature, yet she had nothing that she could dow without being at home. 'Shoot I wish I had a tub of ice... Though that'd probably not work to cool him off... It'd end up a tub of water if his temperature doesn't drop soon...' she thought, yet she was mumbling it softly to herself.

Adrian exhaled. "The next thing you know, I'll turn into a flaming skeleton," he muttered, trying to make a joke as a gust of wind kicked up without warning. He shifted before pushing off fluidly and landing at the bottom of one hill not too far from Lillian, though right beyond the girl's feet was a seven foot drop. "Just jump into my arms, Lillian," he said carefully. He didn't notice the leopard at the top of the hill behind him nor the good sized rosebush with long thorns directly behind his heels.

Listening to Adrian saying that he might soon be a flaming skeleton made her cringe slightly, not liking that image at all. She felt a gust of wind and she let go of Adrian's hand to wrap her arms around herself as she shivered. It was somewhat of a shock as she watched Adrian jumping right to the bottom of a hill that was near to her. She looked right down over the ledge that was a good six or seven foot drop. "Are you insane...?! I wouldn't be able to jump and have you catch me... I'm not very good when it comes to judgement calls... I doubt that I'd be able to mentally calculate how far I'd need to jump to not miss, hurt you or land right in that rosebush behind you... And I'd really hate to jump on that leopard... I know what they can do with their claws, thank you very much..." she said, shivering. She took a moment to try calculating the correct distance to jump. When she thought that she'd be all right she jumped, hoping with everything that she had guessed right on about how far she needed to jump; all that she could do was close her eyes, wait and hope that she'd be caught by Adrian.

Adrian blinked at Lillian's words though he shrugged when she spoke of the leopard. When she jumped, he shifted his foot just enough to take her weight and fortunately did so without losing his balance. "And what would you rather do, fall the entire way down? I'd rather suffer for catching you than suffer for getting you hurt because of me," he said quietly, missing the leopard's grin at his words because the leopard... wasn't a leopard in reality, but Ivory herself.

With eyes still closed, Lillian felt herself falling and after what seemed like forever she felt herself being caught by Adrian. "Th-thank you..." she said, her face turning a bit pink as she tried to get down. "I hope that I didn't hurt you... And we should probably get back to following the leopard. I'd not want to anger it by not doing what we were told to do." she added as she looked to the leopard still thinking that it was a dazzling animal; completely unaware of its true identity.

Adrian let Lillian's feet drop as he lightly touched the tip of her nose. "You are unlikely to hurt me by anything you do... if I get hurt it's going to be because I'm a clumsy camel," he sighed as he half turned towards the leopard, wincing as he did as he caught a momentary feminine scent... from two separate sources as well as the scent of blood as his vision swam; he didn't realize that he almost fell into the rosebush as a result or that his ankle was caught in the thorns from where he'd caught Lillian. Somehow, the thorny branches had closed on his ankle much like a bear trap. He missed the leopard's concerned look.

Lillian made sure that she got her footing as she was let down by Adrian. "I suppose... And you're not a clumsy camel. I'm the clumsy one... I couldn't ever try doing half the things that you can do." she said as she looked to the leopard for a brief moment. She realized that her shoes laces had come undone and she had to fix them before she went any farther, seeing as she'd not like falling on her face because of tripping on her own feet. As she knelt down to tie her shoes she happened to notice that the thorny branches of the rose bush were snapped to Adrian's ankle. She supressed a scream as she tried telling him to look down; however, she was more into trying to pry the thorny branches off of her new friend's ankle. "Get off him you stupid plant!" she growled as she tried removing the plant without getting jabbed by the thorns herself. 'I wish I had my gardening shears here with me...' she thought, knowing that'd probably make it much easier to remove the thorn covered branches.
