"Keith? Better yet, I'm not going to even ask." He shook his head, not like he had any competition for her affections there.
Following her commands, the cerberus wagged his tail and followed the the trail. He knew the way home, else he wouldn't had snuck out in the first place.
"But I guess you're right about that. We will be a family, someday. I hope I can be a good father. My kind wasn't known for their fathering skills either."

"Another good reason we stay with Scarlett till she is ready to continue on her own again. Practice your fathering abilities on a child that isn't yours but remains close enough that you treat it as so." Lilith answered, smiling as she remembered Lloyd's distress during the first couple of days after Roxanne's birth when the girls tasked him with various baby tasks.
Scarlett stood in the front yard humming to herself as she swept the main walkway, baby Roxanne cooing happily from within the sling that rested against the alchemist's chest.

"Practice with Roxanne? You haven't noticed my track record with that kid at all, have you? But, I guess it's a good idea. You have to help me though, this is second nature for you." Lloyd then saw Scarlett up ahead and waved to her.
"Hey there Scarlett! We got the supplies for you!"

"I have, and you are gettin' better." Lilith admits with a smile. "And of course, I'll be watching in case you need help."
Scarlett looks up from her task and briefly waves at the approaching riders. Picking up her pace Scarlett quickly completed sweeping the path, put the broom back inside and waited by the front door to help carry the supplies inside.
"How was the trip guys?" She asked as they got closer.

"It went pretty well. Got some sales, ended some confrontations, and Lilith with her paladin impulses helped every small child she saw in some sort of need." Teased Lloyd, just another day with Lilith. He quickly into the kitchen to sort all the items they had purchased.
"Oh, and we talked about borrowing your kid to teach me how to be a decent father to any possible future children. I'm pretty sure I don't have any at the moment."

Lilith took a swat at Lloyd but she missed as the Blood Knight quickly dismounted. Handing off the other package of supplies to Scarlett, Lilith dismounted, led both the horses to the water, and tied em together.
Following Lloyd inside with the other package, Scarlett joined him in sorting the food stuffs and baby supplies to their proper locations around the house. Scarlett shrugged in response to Lloyd's statement. "Nothing wrong with that. You've been doing a fine job so far." Scarlett answered.

"You too, then, huh? I don't know, I feel awkward." Lloyd scratched his head momentarily to contemplate if he's been doing as good as they both said. Well, the child was still breathing, so there was that. Maybe he was fit to be a father, eventually anyway. Not to mention he wasn't in much of a hurry to have a kid. He wasn't sure he could say the same for Lilith. Her love of all things cute was really beginning to show forth.

As if to help emphasize her point, Roxanne's tiny hands reached up from the sling around Scarlett's chest and made a grabbing motion in Lloyd's direction.
"See? She recognizes you." Scarlett replies, gently pulling Roxanne from the sling and handing her off to the Blood Knight. "And I'm sure the time you've spent training that puppy is helping as well." Scarlett adds, putting the last of the supplies away. "But this talk can wait for later, dinner is getting cold."
Sure enough a small dinner of bread, cheese, and meat had been placed on three plates and set out atop the mass of books they'd come to call their table.
Having finished tending to the horses, Lilith wandering inside and joined them at the table.

Lloyd groaned some when even the kid was showing him he was doing good. "As long as I'm not called daddy later on." He said as he took the little one from her. "I'm either uncle or brother to you once your mother gets our relationship sorted out, got that Roxy?" He said with a bit of a carefree smile. Great, now the kid was getting to him too...
Lloyd sat down at a chair, there really wasn't much food other than the meat to get cold anyway. In the middle of the meal, he would toss scraps of meet to the the puppy, much to the annoyance of the females in his life.

"No problems there... Besides I think Uncle Lloyd sounds better anyway." Scarlett replies, following him and her daughter over to the table.
"Must you do that in front of the baby?" Lilith asked pausing between mouthfuls of food. "I know he has three sets of puppy eyes to beg with but its a bad habit and he should be eating out of his own bowl." She gestured the two very munched on wooden bowls by the door, the food one which of course was empty.

Lloyd, who cared little if he spoke while he ate, retaliated. "It will be fine, besides you talk as if the baby is going to be begging for floor food." He then further added with. "He's still hungry, he's not a regular dog. Wouldn't be surprise if he has three stomachs too."
The night went on like that until Roxanne became tired and grumpy like most children did, which Lloyd handled her off to Scarlett for feeding time.

Taking Roxanne back, Scarlett opened up her robes and the baby, knowing what to do at this point, quickly latched onto one of her breasts and happily began to suckle.
"They're babies. They're always hungry." Lilith stated after swallowing the last piece of food on her plate. Gathering up her plate and the other empty food platters, Lilith returned them to the kitchen where she started to clean them.
Tucking the baby back into her sling, Scarlett stood and followed Lilith into the kitchen. "I got this..." She said nudging Lilith away from the pile of plates. "You should be out there bonding with Lloyd." Lilith was about to object but catching Scarlett's glare she quickly backed down and returned to the table.

"Fair enough I guess. But I really don't see the harm in it."
Lloyd finished his meal, handeling it off to Lilith as she was heading off to clean them. He was rather surprised that she came back so quickly.
"You're full of tricks if you watched the dishes that fast." He teased Lilith some. Scarlett had been going that way herself, so maybe she offered to wash the plates today.

"Ha, I wish I could complete chores that fast..." Lilith replied with a smile. "But na, Scarlett offered to do em tonight so we could have some quiet one on one time."

Lloyd raised an eyebrow to her words. "One on one time? Now you got my attention! Thank you Scarlet!" He said as he pulled Lilith from her seat gently. He completely misread what one on one time meant.
