Yosuke was startled to say the least when his friend just appeared before him. But a wave of relief cascaded over him to at least see her face. "Oh god! Kira! Are you okay?!" Yosuke spoke frantically. She seemed weak, but not harmed. Thank god. He leaned down to help her up, before he suddenly realized that the Nature demon probably wanted that. He took a couple steps back, and surveyed the area once more. Readying himself for an attack from any direction. Something was...admittedly a little off about Kira, she would never normally ask for help from him. But, he was too filled with anger, concern, and, well, pride now. It was nice that she finally could just ask him like that.
"Kira..where is that demon? What did she do to you??" His voice was filled with concern, and Yosuke realized he was quite nervous. He was used to having to fight without his powers but...Cyan could easily kill him with hers, and he'd barely be able to put up a defense. His rage died down, and started to become replaced with genuine fear. He really should have rallied his friends first. "C-Come out! I won't let you harm h-her! I can ta-take you!" He shouted out, hoping to lure out his opponent. '..Even if I can't. I gotta do something. Maybe I can be a punching bag long enough that Kira could escape or...or..s**t.'

Cyan didn't bother with the pretense anymore, as soon as Yosuke stepped away and his heart revealed the truth, she had become herself again. Well sort of. She got to her feet instantly and laughed. The illusion around him melting away revealing the charred remains of the forest, along with Kira trapped within the vines several feet away. "How touching, your making me sick with your pure heart," Cyan sneered. Her Demonic aura growing stronger but she was still unable to use her power. She couldn't let the illusion spell up yet, for Yosuke's friends were still yet to come.
She flinched, noticably this time. As the battling Nature Cyan tried to restrain the Demon side of her. But she quickly recovered and faced Yosuke, "Bravo, you've passed the first test, your powers however, are still gone. It's the lure of the vines toxin that is coursing through your very blood, worthless elemental!" Cyan smirked, He can't tell that I am not you, haha, this ought to be good. To see someone hate me so much is like watching a love story without the sappy stuff! This is bliss! -- Stop it! Let him go! Now! -- Why? aren't you having fun yet? -- Release him this instant! Cyan growled low, her eyes turning from emerald green to red.
"Your going to watch me kill him, then, that stupid little elemental you've hidden from me!" Cyan spoke, but she wasn't speaking directly to Yosuke, she had spoken out loud to herself. The war within her had put her into a frenzy. But her powers had weakened, all she could do now was create illusions, as the spell remained, so did her power drain. Are you trying to kill me? -- If only it were that simple! -- Look, we'll die if you keep that spell up AND keep Kira hidden! Free her! -- NO! SILENCE! Cyan's gem glowed a vibrant emerald green it was nearly every last ounce of her strength as vines whipped out of the ground and began to attack Yosuke.
But even as the vines began to attack, Cyan sank to her knees, her power was almost used up, as was her lifeforce. She couldn't hold the spell and fight. At this rate, if someone did not silence her Demonic side, Cyan knew she would perish. Her heart beat faster as her body began to shut down, but the Demonic side of her, fought on. Using the vines like whips towards Yosuke. When the real Cyan surfaced - taking control of her body once more, she called out to Yosuke.
"Hit me! It will break the spell cast upon you... you will then get to see Kira...I-- I can't control myself... please... save her!" But just as quickly, the Demonic Cyan took control again, this time, her anger was fiercer. "Death to all elementals! If I must die too then as long as I take you both with me, I will be happy!" Cyan laughed as an earthquake began to shake the ground.

"Te..Test!?" Yosuke's heart sank at seeing the Illusion all fade away, and seeing the real Kira bound away. She..didn't seem hurt though. Thank god for the small miracles. But, the demon's voice shook him. He wasn't really sure what was even going on anymore, and what was or was not a trap or insult even. Seeing the vines, inspired a primal reaction in Yosuke. He took a step back and smoothly slid past the oncoming vines. He didn't have his powers, but he damn sure still knew how to contort his body like the flowing water of a stream. The whipping vines just missing him by inches, and sliding against his skin instead of hitting him dead on. That voice though...
Was this really the same Cyan he met just moments ago? It seemed like a different person. Was this a trick? Yosuke really wasn't sure about anything, except for the fact that there was no way in hell that he was going to let this b***h kill Kira. Trap or not, hitting her seemed to be his only option, so he resolved to do just that. But...he did have some qualms about hitting a girl, and one who looked so young and small. Wait. Screw that! He needed to do what would save everyone, ethical or not!
Yosuke let a vine slides its way through his hand, thorns pricking him all over. He grabbed onto it as hard as he could, and threw himself forward at the demon. He ducked down right in front of her, and brought himself up with a shattering upper-cut aimed directly at the Demon's jaw. Either he would knock her back some, or she would kill Yosuke. Either way, one odd thing raced into the Water Elemental's mind as he threw up his fist; "Oh..s**t. I left the stove on back home..'

Cyan had not time to dodge his attack. It landed directly under her jaw, slamming her up and back. The vines fell to the ground lifeless, as did the ones holding Kira - however, the spell over the illusions still held. Cyan coughed, sputtering and then chuckling. It was nearly insane how she could even laugh at this. But her Demon side was not about to let it go. Weak and in pain, she got to her feet. Now only able to stand against a dead tree and lean against it with one hand.
The vines around Kira loosened and then broke. Dropping her. Cyan sneered. "I will not... be defeated... by the likes... of you!" Cyan's emerald glowed a very faint emerald, but with her last remaining ounce of power, she smirked and suddenly the earthquake that had started began to grow in tremors, throwing them all to the ground as it shook. Trees uprooted, the charred remains of some of the trees broke into splinters. The Illusion spell popped and broke, sending sparks all around them. Cyan's face changed from cold to serene as she turned her gaze to Kira. Then with a final look at Yosuke, her aura returned to it's normal shade. The Demonic side of her receded within her.
Cyan opened her mouth to say something to Yosuke, to Kira, but it only came out in a whisper. "Save... her...Y-yosuke..." Cyan's eyes closed and her body fell into a meditative state. The natural defense of all nature demons when threatened with death. But it would only last a short while, only twenty four hours will be allowed, before she would completely perish. She needed to return to her Dark Forest, to the Spring there, but she was too weak even to call upon Kisami - the only person she'd trusted to carry her there, the only living soul who could enter the Maze Labyrinth within the Dark Forest and find the Spring of Living Water - Cyan's home.
Her strength and life force used up, Cyan could not move. Her eyes half way open, gazed into nothingness. Her skin, now turning a deadly shade of black much like the charred remains of the forest where they stood. In her heart she was happy she'd won, she was happy she'd saved Kira. Saved Yosuke, but now, it had cost her... it had cost her the ultimate price. She felt terrible for what she'd done, she hated her Demonic side, her anger and rage that lay dormant now within her.
I'm sorry Kira...I'm so very sorry...I trusted you.... I've always trusted you....Tell Kisami... Tell her I'm sorry... Her whisper flew to Kira's mind as she became dormant like Nature in the winter, only she felt death creeping into her body as it turned blacker...

 Kisami almost slipped into a portal of darkness that suddenly appeared behind her. It was the shock of noticing the portal that saved her; she fell from the sky, and away from the portal, to the ground with a hard thump. "Ouch," she grumbled, rubbing her back. "If you were trying to get my attention, you could have just used my name." As she stood up, she looked over to Senel, who had apparently decided that this was entirely her fault, and was preparing for a fight. After some silly little speech in which he claimed himself to be a Demon of the Wind--Absolutely ******** preposterous, she thought viciously--and boasted about having enslaved several demons--I'll ensure a torturous death for him, she swore silently--he summoned one of the demons he'd captured. With a snarl, Kisami rose back into the air, her precious northern winds swirling about her in sympathetic anger.
"So you presume to call yourself a demon, yet you rely on the power of real demons in battle? You are nothing but a miserable excuse of a human being, the lowest of the low," she hissed. It struck a particularly soft nerve for her, though she supposed it was oddly poetic. In order to gain the ultimate source of power and avenge her parents deaths, she would have to kill a young man who found sport in enslaving her own kind. She had no problem in doing so, and relished in the moment when she would be able to watch his life slip from his eyes. It couldn't be right then, though, for she swore an oath to herself and to her deceased parents that whenever she killed, it would be with the knives her father gave her--so that the blood of everyone who got in her way, the blood of anyone who sided with the Elementals, the blood of the one who would give her the power she sought would all be offered to her father's spirit.
But just because she couldn't kill him didn't mean she couldn't unleash her fury.
"If you think to battle me, the Demon of Wind, with your own powers of wind, and the souls of demons you have captured, then you are truly worthy of the death I shall grant you," she growled. The northern winds swirled tighter and colder around her, heeding her unspoken desires. She wouldn't take the offensive, not yet--not until she was prepared to kill him. For now, she would wait and see what he would do, and react accordingly. Using the winds as defensive measures was, after all, her specialty.

Yosuke felt a massive pain in his fist, it was possible that he fractured a knuckle with that shot. That or he accidentally punched a brick wall. Wait. ...Holy s**t. He could hardly believe that actually worked. Even more, he was actually still alive. He let out a sigh of relief at the sight of the real Kira. "Kira! Is that really you?" But, before he knew it, he was on the ground again, and a terrible earthquake was rocking the area. And Cyan had just completely acted in two different ways. Was she trying to help or hurt him and Kira!? And her skin..was getting very dark. That..That wasn't good. Was she dieing...? He couldn't have hit her that hard. 'AGH. What is even going on!?' He was at a complete loss.
Before Yosuke could even make sense of everything happening however, A familiar feeling came back into his mind. It was the welcoming aura of every little molecule of water hanging warmly in the area. His powers were back. That was the best news all damn day. He looked at the demon, and at Kira. Wondering what exactly to do, before he realized. 'Oh. Right. Earthquake.' Without hesitation, he forced himself back onto his feet despite the ground shaking and ran over to the demon laying near him, "You're not leaving us that easy, sorry.." He said to her as he quickly tossed the small girl over his shoulder. Although she had just tried to kill him...Yosuke would still not allow a life to be taken of someone he sort of kinda trusted while he was around. He was stumbling a bit from all the tremors, but managed to make it to Kira with Cyan still in tow.
Yosuke was deeply worried about Kira, but for the moment, she looked fine enough..So he shakily set Cyan on the ground and raised both of his hands to pull enough water from the surrounding clouds to create a full ice barrier around the trio. It could hopefully hold up long enough to out-last the earthquake, and fend off any falling trees. Afterwards, he promptly fell to his knees, unable to keep up with the tremors. He looked up at his now freed friend. "Kira...oh god, are you okay? ...Can you heal her?" He said as he pointed to Cyan. She..She really didn't look good. That was an understatement actually. Yosuke didn't look good with all his new-found bruises and cuts. Cyan looked to be the paradigm of death itself.

Darkness elementalEverything has its wonders, even darkness and silence...Kevin came up the tunnel just before the illusion broke. For a moment, he was powerless and saw himself playing in a field with an exact replica of himself it seemed. Twins? Kevin thought, confused. Then the illusion broke and he was standing beside the hole behind Yosuke.
He looked around himself spotting the black skinned, meditative Cyan and the now free Kira. "Damn it I missed it" he said with a slight smile. While Yosuke picked up Cyan and moved to Kira's side, Kevin followed.
The tremors were big, but were settling as Cyan had lost her consciousness, the earth would settle with no real danger to them. Though it seemed Yosuke was a little worried as he popped up an ice barrier around them. Kevin rolled his eyes slightly, walking toward the barrier, not too troubled by the tremors. He rapped a knuckle on the barrier, trying to get Yosuke's attention. "Technically it's the earth beneath you that's shaking, but it's not strong enough to topple anything or land anything on you, so you really don't need this" he called, hoping Yosuke heard him....and I learn to be content there in the darkness.

Cyan tried to think clearly, but her body was becoming more and more filled with the black death that would seize her life. She couldn't move, couldn't speak, but she heard mumbled words as she lay lost in her meditative state.
Within her heart the battle still raged, her Demonic side ruthlessly attacked her Nature side. She felt torn with the thoughts of destruction and the thoughts of life. She knew that if only she could communicate with Kisami, she would be able to guide her through the maze again. The Labyrinth that filled the Dark Forest.
Get out of my thoughts! -- No! I wont let you surface, once this body is healed, I'll be in control of this body! I will kill that brat Elemental, that stuttering fool! Then in doing so, it will weaken you! -- Stop! Don't fight me! If you harm them I'll never let you remain! -- Fool! I am you, you are me! If you kill me you kill you too! -- I don't care! I wont let you harm them! They are not my father's murderers! -- All Elementals deserve death, they are nothing but specks of dust mites that deserve to be ripped to shreds and butchered, just as our father was! -- My Father is not for that way of life! Nor that way of thinking! -- Your wrong, Cyan, your so very very wrong, because you've seen his eyes when he took the life of that pathetic family, you saw the glee when the blood smeared down his face as he sliced them to bits! -- S-stop!... please...stop... -- You know it was I who you called upon when your father died, it was then that you set me free within your flesh! -- Stop! Silence! Leave me alone! -- How can I? I'm just getting started... Hahah hahahaaaa! Cyan couldn't move, nor could she speak, but a single tear came to her eyes as the words of her inner Demon spoke to her heart.
She knew that if the Demon inside her got free again, she would not have the willpower alone to fight back. There must be a way to get to the Spring of Life... there... just... has... to be a way... Cyan thought.

Ash had been watching the estate for some time now, and wondered why Takaya and Kisami had went to check the place out, or how they found it for that matter. He'd also felt the demonic presence coming from the forest, and of course recognized it as the one which started the first earthquake. Huh, that little tree-hugger is acting up again... but wait, something's different... The moment he realized what was different, the aura faded entirely. Bizarre, even by MY standards... Whatever, little witch can do as she pleases, I'm more interested in what's going on in the house, with at least one more demon over there, it won't be nearly a problem to find my counterpart. Ash continued contemplating what to do now, then he saw Kisami once more in the air.
"Well, let's find out." He muttered to himself, then noticed the portal behind her, shrugging it off the Fire Demon sent a blast of flames beneath Kisami, to warn her and let her know his location and that he wanted to speak to her. Intentionally missing, he began moving to meet the Wind Demon.

Kira had only stopped on the threat of death without trial. Why- why wouldn't Cyan listen? There was no need for this. For any of it. She couldn't see what was going on. She could hear Yosuke, could hear her voice... but she'd been silent. When she'd been let down, dragged about, Kira hushed Yosuke. She whispered softly, her voice calm, " Y-yel-ling w-won't h-help anyth-thing, Y-Yosuk-ke." Kira would very carefully lift Cyan into an embrace. She felt so cold to Kira, that tingle and burn were consistent... were they fighting...? She bit her lip at Cyan's words from before. She wanted to help her. Prove to her that both sides of her could trust her. Kira set her jaw, maybe... maybe she could... like with the bird. One of her deepest secrets- she looked at Yosuke... he would keep them safe. Kira closed her eyes and buried her face against the crook of the small demon's neck. Kira's hand shimmered a gentle golden light. " Please let this work. Please hear me. Let me help you. Let this work. Cyan... Cyan, I'm going to try... to try like I did with the bird." Kira took a small breath and focused, she could always see something at the edges of her eyes. Something golden and beautiful, something which shimmered like water but glistened like moonlight, something precious she shouldn't touch but... Cyan needed it. " I want to give you life, I want to save you, don't die, don't go away. I want you to stay here... I want you to see we're not all bad... Take some of my life and heal... escape... do what you need with it... it's okay.. I can take it."

Cyan heard the whisper of a gentle soothing voice. she felt herself being lifted. But it was all she could do not to wince in pain as she was now almost completely covered in black. Her breathing came in shallow short spurts. Her eyes were glazed over and she could see nothing. Then a small amount of warmth filled her limbs.
Curse that elemental! -- No! She's trying... trying to save us! -- Who wants that? Your too weak, death will have you without the pool from the Spring of Life! -- Yes, your right, but she's giving me strength enough to call for him... to call... -- NO! Don't you dare! -- "Azul! AZUL!" -- Silence! -- "Azul, find Kisami... Bring her here, she knows the way through the maze... she knows how to find the Spring... she can hear the forest..." -- Your pathetic! -- No, I'm not, now be gone! Cyan felt suddenly lightheaded, Kira's warmth made the blackness recede a little - but not completely.
Still unable to move, she was now able to converse with Kira through their bond. "Kira... hurry.... the Dark Forest... I must... I must have the Spring of Life water..." Cyan's voice was weak as she spoke to Kira. But she was finally able to use the bond to converse again. The blackness of her skin - the black death - was held at bay as long as Kira remained near her. However, she still remained in her meditative lifeless state. Her only ability was to converse with Kira through the bond they held.
"Kira... thank you..." Her words were filled with sorrow, as though she would cry. Her glazed eyes seemed lifeless, "The Black Death... without the Spring of Life... it will overcome me... Kisami... she knows the way... through the labyrinth..." Her words faded in and out as her body ached from the pain surrounding it.

Azul the hummingbird and Cyan's only companion heard Cyan's call. He flew as fast as he could towards Yosuke's place, his little hummingbird wings batting furiously against the breezes and strange wind tides. It was a long time ago since he'd last conversed with Kisami, but his love for Cyan was greater than his hatred for the Wind Demon.
His little body zipped through the air like a bullet. He had to reach Kisami... He just had too...
