There was some squawking, and some crying. And blood.

"You've got to be kidding me!" A frustrated battlecry, and more yelling and sobbing. This mini was so obstinate. Why. Whyyyyy.

Yin was passing by Sparrow's booth when he noticed that a bird had escaped. A chubby little blue one, and he was going to help to capture it.
He made a swipe for it, and his fingers grazed past bird but it was just out of reach.

And then, in a moment of clarity, Gene put the head of the bird under her arm and rocked it back and forth. Snores were soon heard.
Dear Jack, thank you for your blessings on this shameful whelp of a Ghost.
She put the bird in, wiped the tears from her eyes, and slumped off to a corner. Awful; completely awful.

Yin was not going to let a minipet evade him.
Well, except for the fact that Chipper completely avoided him.

Gene just sat there, staring into the white void of minipoop on her boots. She wanted to cry, really hard. Instead she just stared.
Minis. They were jerks sometimes.

But hey, if Miss Gene could capture a bird he certainly could. And he was not missing it by much, just continually getting a brush of feathers.

Yin reached out, fingers brushing the bird's feathers, and then surrounding it as he grabbed it to take to one of the cages, making a token attempt to be gentle.

"Ah, so you're Sparrow," she chimed cheerfully, sounding entertained by the thought, "No offense, sweetling, but you don't look much like a sparrow..." Giving him a lookover, she quirked an eyebrow at him, looking a tiny bit skeptical, as if he might possibly be teasing her or something. She wasn't quite used to being teased -- most people tended to be a little intimidated by her, likely because she in turn tended to burn anything and everything she saw to the ground. Her temper was also quite bad, the War horsewoman was willing to admit, so perhaps they had reason to be cautious. So it was with a little curiosity with which she probed further with her eyes, trying to see past that pleasant mask he was offering her.
No matter. She was having fun, regardless of whether he was teasing her or not. And although she loathed to look away, perhaps it was time she put the little minipet back in it's cage.
Lifting the creature gently, she blinked as the churrpup looked disgruntled at the first cage, leaving Eris to give it a bemused look and wonder if perhaps she had put it in the wrong place.

Now just to pop the bird back into the right cage. Except he got it in the wrong one. Why did they have to be numbered?

Well, if the bird did not go in the last cage, and it did not go in the first one...Yin began eyeing the remaining cage.

Yin had the absolute best logic, the bird went in the middle cage. That worked rather well.

Well, that task was done. Yin bowed Sparrow before he left the booth, ready to see what else the festival had to offer.

The second time worked far better than the first. Nudging the creature into the second cage, it hopped in easily, and she closed the door with a gentle little click.Kurmato Sorry about the double-quote -- since I rolled the 1 d8 before, when I was derp, I won't do so again, so this is my last game-post <3
