If I could remember those ideas, that would be grand

They were some really good ideas, too crying

The 9th ball was more religious than this, tbh. And yeah, the cohosts would be best as constellations (I think it would be cool if they were minor guardians or something) biggrin

Just something that I've been mulling over since I saw it earlier in the thread and I was looking for clarification:
There has been concern regarding copyright/intellectual property infringement getting in the way of what we use as themes/characters/etc. Is that really an issue for a forum-based event like this, especially one made by volunteers without any profit motive? I should think it would fall into the same category as fan-fiction.
Can anyone shed some light on this for me?

I mean the zodiac is essentially Greek Mythology, and wasn't that a theme already? Even if you toss in the ruling planets to change things up a bit, wasn't there a ball already that had planets as a theme? It might make more sense to use the Eastern Zodiac as a theme as that would have zero overlap with past balls.

It does have sort of a western-influence thing which might interfere for Eastern religions though, so I can see your point.

Another Crazy Idea from a corner of my mind
What about Birthstones and Gemstones.
The host and secondary host would be birthstones (ie... Ruby and Peridot)
While the co-hosts are gemstones (ie.. Sunstone, Moonstone, Quatz)
Or a fruity theme: Okay I know that sounds crazy but I can't help what pops into my mind. It could be worse.
Or a Rainbow Theme.
Just tossing out ideas
