Crix Madine was once a candidate for president.
He got 100% of the votes, not because everyone voted for him, but because the machines knew better and refused to acknowledge any other candidates. Those people that attempted to make the machines acknowledge someone else were promptly roundhouse kicked.
Crix Madine didn't take officer however, since he already runs the universe.
