Hm... well, I guess I can start scouting. I do have a story in my journal, but I'm not particularly fond of it. If you want to take a look-see, be my guest.
In fact, that would be good, because I would love to make it better.

Arg! *whacks head* I spent an hour reading a ton of crappy-a** stories and I just remembered my previous contest. The theme was choreographing, and Whim did a hilarious little piece about a drunken training-bot.
I loved it... heart
I'll need to check it over with Whim to see if he even wants it in the next publication, and then I'll post it in that forum... that looks relevant, (unless otherwise notified).
Does this sound about right?

either that or it goes in that one thread here, or something like that. I'm not entirely sure of the process.
Though, I'd love to get a short peice by No Lux, he's pretty good. Hawthorne's another one with quite some talent, but most of his stuff is Novella. I probably could flesh out a list of decent authors on Gaia.

Jahoclave ...I'd love to get a short peice by No Lux... Doesn't he primarily write scripts? Although he does have those weird-a** "Sebetin's Ex-Lovers" (or whatever) shorts. Those are hilarious. xd Oh, and ironically, for the first time in a while Whim popped in today, and I missed him. Hopefully he responds to my PM soon... Jahoclave either that or it goes in that one thread here... That's the one I meant... but I'm not sure of the process either.

Yes, I think Lux primarly writes scripts. I think he works for a production company or something like that.
Hawthorne has something where he lives in Michigan one half the year and Arizona the other. And Clarion just never posts anything anymore.
It's sad, but most of our most talented writers don't post their stories for the general public to view.

She's been a mod as long as I've known her, and only makes random helpful threads. I'm getting ansy, I need direction!

Zach, Here's a rundown of threads in here:
Headquarters: First place people go to -- Place to talk about the Press, articles, important announcements etc.
Project Ideas: Place to bounce around project ideas, like the 7 deadly sins we did.
Gold Accounts: Sort of like a guild checkbook/ bank invoice. This is where anything remotley connected to gold is posted.
Published Issues: Archive of published issues.
Mounds of the Uncritiqued: This is where scouts post anything they find to be critique before it is ok-d to be included in the Press.
Neighborhood Watch: When scouting, this is where you put links with descriptions to threads that might interest readers. (This thread, by the by, is my first sticky ever 3nodding )
Index of Issues&Authors: What the title says.
The Press Gallery: Where any graphics/pictures used in the Press are kept; an archive if you will.
'Zine Projects: Where projetcs are worked on and discussed. Preferably worked on wink
Point! What's Your Point?: Laboratory of resident badass, Jahoclave, designed to fool people into thinking it is nothing but an innocent thread where the Jaho can work on his articles. ninja
Kraeela's Randomness Thread & Replies from fellow Insomn: Supposed to be "Insomnia"....damned word limit! *shakes fist* My home, and get-to-know-each-other thread.....yes, that's all it is....a nice...normal....safe...thread.... MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA
Voting Booth: Where votign for best of issue takes place.
Writer's Block 911: Rarely visited, 'tis a place to post inspiring stuff. /info dump
And there you have it...
Yes, for now you can go through the WF, contests, FF.com etc for stories/poems/essays anythign that looks good enough to publish in the 'zine, then post it in "Mounds of the Uncritiqued"
Enough direction for you?

Zacharra I'm getting ansy, I need direction! Well, number one, we're just starting out so... and number two, we are in sort of a lull. Try coming up with ideas, we can always use some of those. Scouting always needs to be done, but it's frustrating and tedious (also mentally damaging at times). Other than that... not much to do. sweatdrop If we get more popular, I'm sure we'll be up to our necks in work though. I almost dread it. xp Dragon Lilly I read all the backlog but you guys lost me. Anyone care to summarize and explain? Not much important, other than the schedule alicemae set up. We're staring on the third issue. I'll have to start finding some moments in history soon. ^^

This does sound like crap right? Quote: Aniese spun to face John, her hair falling down into her face, both nearly the same dull, bloodied shade of red. 'Yes, damn it. Hope!'
