[Ivory + Opal]
The girl's hesitance was obvious, and now he was a bit curious. Seems that he wasn't the only one that had some reservations with dancing with an actual person. When Ivory didn't move, he held out his hand to her.
"Hey c'mon, I don't bite," he said as his voice took on a teasing tone. "Much."
Whether or not she took his hand, he continued to talk. "Have you ever danced for real?" As in with another person and not just her Pokemon.
Not that things were set in motion, Repede walked back over to Opal and sat himself next to her, watching the two humans with a glint of amusement in his eye.
"Grrrr gruff," he said back to the white puppy, clearly pleased with the outcome himself.

[Yuri + Repede]
The corner of her mouth twitched up a bit, turning her small smile into something more of a smirk at his teasing words. She allow her hand to settle in the palm of his.
"...does that mean you are a vampire now, Yuri?"
Her fingers twitched slightly at his question and that little bit of a smirk soon melded back to that gentle, seemingly shy smile. "...well... sorta... dancing with girls is not the same as dancing with boys..."
The false growlithe stretched slightly, rolling onto her back so her tummy was exposed until she was looking at Repede-friend upside-down. Her tongue was still flopping and panting out of her mouth, but she still let out a few "wuffs" to let him know she wanted to play with her friends after this.

[Ivory + Opal]
"Hmmm... maybe," Yuri said with a sly grin. "You never know."
With her hand in his, he led Ivory back out to the dance floor where a slow song started to play. Man it had been so long since he danced with a girl, and he'd only danced with girls... there was no way in hell he was going to dance with another guy.
Facing Ivory, Yuri took the lead and started moving in a simple box step across the floor.
"So that means I'm the first, huh?"
Yuri was definitely a bit out of place among the crowd in their pretty dresses and tuxedos, while wearing his every day clothes. But he didn't really give a damn, so it was okay.
Repede looked down at Opal as she flipped on her back and huffed. Telling her not to go too far so that she wouldn't worry Ivory.

[Yuri + Repede]
He was joking. He definitely was joking about being a vampire. Either way, she still managed to gain a bit of color to her cheeks for a brief moment at the thought of Yuri biting her. It was silly, certainly, but there were implications of the "Dracula bite."
Clumsily, she moved along with him to the dance floor, and when he turned her to face him, she easily noticed she was staring ahead at about chest level on him. She tried to do her best to follow along with his steps, but she was mildly distracted by the thoughts of What if I mess up.
"...Uh... yeah... you are...um... hopefully I'm not doing too badly..." Her steps were still a bit clunky even in the simple pattern of a box step. She definitely was not lying about this being her first time dancing with a boy, it was becoming quite obvious she had been telling the truth.
The false puppy's pink nose twitched a bit before she turned to face the direction of where her other friends were compared to them (all while still upside down). She let out a whine, signaling that other friends were close, and since Ivory-friend was now on the dance floor, she could be close to both!

[Ivory + Opal]
Despite Ivory's unsteady steps, Yuri just smiled, hoping to ease her insecurity. Not that he was all the much better, mind you. He was really out of practice and hadn't been very good to begin with. He probably could be if he danced more, but its not like there were all that many opportunities. Plus he didn't have the motivation to actually learn. The only reason he had was at the insistence of the lady he worked for at the inn/tavern back in Devoirue. She had taught him a few steps, and not long after, the embarrassing incident had happened. Flynn hadn't let him live it down for some time after. Not that Yuri didn't know his share of embarrassing stories regarding his best friend either.
"Nah, you're doing great. Just relax."
Ivory must have been really nervous dancing with a guy for the first time. Which he didn't really get. She was a pretty girl. Surely she shouldn't have had trouble finding a dance partner before, right? Plus he didn't see any reason for her to be nervous around him in particular. Oh well, she'd probably get over it eventually.
Yuri took it slow with the dancing, so that Ivory could get use to the step and loosen up a bit. So far so good.
Repede followed her gaze to where the other Pokemon were then looked back at Opal with a wuff. Why not bring her friends over here?

[Tymiko]
Upon arriving back at where the party was, Seth moved off to the side and listened to what he supposed was a league representative, who was followed by the mayor. The former certainly had some interesting things to say, even if a bit brief.
It wasn't long before his line of sight eventually drifted over to where Nadja and Dith were. He narrowed his eyes slightly, but otherwise didn't react this time around.
Instead he decided to focus on the matter at hand.
"Hmph. That was interesting," he muttered.

(Nadja, Dith, Trainer group, "Emily"/Kunai, Tambrey, Kratos, Asch, Natalia, Ally, Rory, Ivory, Yuri, Opal, Repede)
So many people and pokemon... A lot seemed dressed nicely enough, but others...? And what kind of dates did they have with them? What impossibly different couples! The Absol couldn't stand for this madness any longer. He acted on impulse.
The closest and most-easily spotted target was a slim woman standing next to a very tall, rather large man. Kid wasn't deterred by the human's size, however. He was more concerned about the woman's glass in one hand and the highly irregular hem of her dress. How - how could she do such a thing?! It nearly brought him to tears! But he could fix it.
Running towards the pair, the black and white Absol leapt toward the woman first. Not only did she seem easier to part from the man, but he hoped that maybe knocking her off her feet would make her drop her champagne flute. As he ran by, not bothering to stop, he made a quick Slash attack at her dress hem with his blade, taking care to slice it evenly but also while it was in motion so as not to cut the lady's legs with the fabric.
He didn't stop to observe and judge his handiwork as he might have done in a less stressful environment. No, he was already searching for his next target. Most of his most promising prospects seemed to be the couples. At least in that way he could kill two birds with one stone.
Weaving through the throngs of people in a systematic manner, he noted those who seemed to have fairly good taste - a group of young trainers, for example. They all seemed to be well-dressed. Had he paused to make sure, he might have noticed that Anastasia only had one bow on her ear, but as she was in Emil's arms, Kid didn't see her fully. He passed right by them.
Oh, more couples! Lots more. Kid paused to speculate the quickest and most efficient route to take care of them all. Well, the closest were actually a trio, but one of the three was distancing herself from them. And she had lost a sleeve somewhere - a fashion disaster. Kid leapt up and made as clean and gentle a Slash as he could in an effort to slice off the other sleeve before landing. And on to the next problem.
That man and woman were almost as different as the first pair he'd encountered. They each had a glass in hand that they were drinking from, but the contents didn't look the same. Even if they had been holding the glasses in opposite hands, their heights still ruined whatever symmetry that might have given them. Hopefully he could bowl them over by running between them and he could get them to drop their drinks. Provided they were close enough to each other, of course. The man they were speaking with seemed fine, so Kid let him be.
One more stop before heading to the dance floor - another pair of lovebirds holding each other close. The male was dressed appropriately. The female...not quite. A quick slash to the asymmetrical sashes at her waist would do it. As far as their heights...had he the time, he would have studied them, but all things considered, they looked fairly even. Kid moved on.
At last the Absol made his way toward the parquet which marked the dance floor, completely ignoring the sign that asked larger pokemon to be kept off it. As far as Kid was concerned, this was a matter of life and death. First the red-headed girl and boy next to her. Heights were not perfect. He attempted to swat their legs out from under them with his tail as he looked to the next couple. At least while flat on the ground, all humans could be closer to the same size.
Oh Arceus! Claws scrabbled on the floor, scratching up the wooden-patterned tiles as the Absol tried to make sense of what he was seeing. He didn't think he had ever seen a more mis-matched couple. The guy was dressed dark, while the girl was dressed very light. His hair was long, but her hair was longer. She had glasses, but he did not. And - GAH! What was with that DRESS? He made for the two, ready to knock them over as well. So distracted was Kid by the humans' contrast, however, he failed to notice Opal and Repede sitting just beyond them.

[Yuri + Repede + Kid]
Her dance partner's efforts were greatly appreciated as he seemed to slow down his pace a bit, allowing the girl to get her footing and steps down a bit better. It was different from free formed dancing and just moving to the music or holding hands with some girlfriends and twisting her hips along back and forth in a playful manner.
"Uh... th-thanks..." She wasn't truly convinced she was doing great so much as she wasn't doing miserably horrible. The girl's head occasionally seemed to twitch, as if she was trying to look down at her own feet, but then remembered how little good it would actually do. Her fingers would occasionally twitch, signaling she wasn't doing all that good a job of relaxing, but eventually she seemed ready to speed up in the dance. As long as Yuri led in such a manner that was.
The albino puppy did not have the best sense of vision in the world, but she made up for it at times with focusing more on the other senses. A commotion had started to stir up nearby, causing a pair of white ears to perk up. There were cries of a stray Pokemon amidst the crowd, and some even called out Stop that Absol.
At first, the white Growlithe rolled back to her feet, tail wagging at the chance to make a new friend. That was until she saw a blur of black and white lunge at Ivory-friend.
Ivory-friend was in trouble!
Without a thought, the false Growlithe glowed for a moment and shifted forms, growing taller and more lithe, and sprouting a scythe-like horn out of the side of her head. The true Absol would soon enough find a pure white Absol with red eyes in his path. She had her horn angled towards the other defensively, but didn't say a single thing as she stood there.
Ivory had been focusing so much on just simply dancing, that she missed a lot of the commotion until the action was practically beside her. In a squeaking tone, she cried out "...what in the world?!"

[Ivory + Opal + Kid]
Opal wasn't the only one that noticed the commotion. Repede turned his head sharply as he too heard the commotion, getting to his paws quickly. However, the glowing at his side distracted him as Opal started to change forms. She then became much larger and soon was dashing off. The dark Growlithe wasn't far behind her as he too could see a rogue Pokemon heading straight for Ivory and Yuri.
While still dancing with Ivory, Yuri quickly looked up in time to see an Absol coming their way.
"Look out!" he shouted, grabbing Ivory and pulling her to the side and out of the Absol's path, just as Opal and Repede placed themselves between Kid and the two humans. Dammit, and he didn't have his sword either. But it looked like Opal and Repede had this one.
The one eyed Growlithe crouched in a ready to attack position next to Opal, baring his teeth and snarling at the real Absol.

The mayor's speech was for the most part, boring as hell. The other guys speech was better and all he did was state that he knew there were rockets in the audience, which seemed like a threat to her, but she could be paranoid if anything. What to do now? There isn't much to do around here and she was starting to feel awkward around Rory. Which wasn't all that bad, but it could be better. Maybe she needed to do something?
Her stomach growled right when he asked his question. Looks like he had his answer and she needed food.
"Want to get something to eat? I thought I saw my cousin, but I'm not too sure...I'll stick with you if you don't--- OH s**t!!!!!"
She was not prepared for the sudden hit to her legs, knocking her down to the floor. Ally reached for the nearest person or thing and grabbed. This person happened to be Rory...
This is not going to end well...

Natalia was not ashamed to say she pretty much snuggled closer to Asch when he put his arm around her, even as the blush came back a bit stronger. But she didn't have a lot of time to enjoy it before an Absol came running by and attacked her dress. Out of surprise she jerked back with a yelp, though thankfully it didn't mess up the pokemon's aim and it was still only the sashes that were cut.

Despite his efforts to hold it back, Asch couldn't keep the light blush from rising to his cheeks as Natalia pressed against him. But the moment was effectively ruined as an Absol came charging through and slashed at Natalia's dress.
"What the- HEY! Stop that Absol!"
Who the hell would let that Pokemon run rampant like that?! If only he knew.
His attention quickly focused back on Natalia though. "Are you okay?"

Shizuo didn't move when 'Emily' moved off to have her conversation and her language didn't faze him, he had heard worse. He nodded politely to them when 'Emily' introduced them both. "I'm Shizuo." he said then blinked when she called him handsome. "I just dropped off a client and was lingering a bit." Then a black and white blur ran by and he took a step towards the more talkative of the two. "Are you alright?"

(POKEBUSTERS! No wait that doesn't sound right...)
Maiko spotted the small groups tail and paused to peer at him. She waved a front leg as her markings moved to a : ) face, greeting the Charmander. "Spin, ina rak!" Would he like to play with them too? There was a commotion with the humans though so she looked over to see the black and white pokemon she saw earlier stirring up things.
~*~*~
(Asch)
Natalia looked down to make sure the main dress was intact and not damaged in anyway to show off anything before looking back to Asch. "I'm alright. My dress and nerves aren't though." she said with a frown.

(Opal, Repede, Pinkie Pie, Mariko, Jace)
When Repede arrived, Delic was curious about the Growlithe. However, the fire-type didn't stay long. He appeared only to have come to summon Opal back to her trainer's side. Delic was sad to see her go as well as not know the name of this new pokemon, but maybe he could find out later. At least Opal said she would be back.
Meanwhile, there was yet another fire-type headed their way - an interesting black Charmander with a blue tail. Delic was ecstatic. "Chingling ling!" he greeted. But he hardly had time to ask the newcomer about himself and introduce the other lovely ladies when trouble started brewing.
There was a lot of commotion and from what Delic could see - a black and white blur rushing through the crowds and knocking people over - he could guess whose fault it was. Kid hated his guts because out of all of Izaya's pokemon, only Delic was asymmetrical. Not that Delic could help it, but he did his best to stay out of Kid's way just the same.
This time, though...how could he ruin this romantic atmosphere? Something had to be done! Where was Izaya? Why had he let out Kid? Was it because Delic had taken too long to return to their trainer? But he didn't think Izaya would have wanted the Absol bowling people over like he was. Determined to put a stop to the rampaging dark-type, Delic hopped frantically toward the dance floor. He wouldn't ask the others to come with him if they didn't want to, because that would be putting them in danger. Besides, he knew Kid better than most. Maybe he could distract the Absol from the humans.
Izaya didn't take long to recover from the injury to his shin. After all, he'd suffered much worse, and it was the shock of such an impudent attack that had kept him down for as long as he'd been. While he'd been down, he recalled seeing the surprised and fearful look on the little Zorua's face before the mischief-maker ran off.
Instead of getting up, Izaya started to look around from his lower vantage point, crawling on his hands and knees without thinking of what the grass dirt would be doing to his clothes. This was bad and no matter what he said, he was pretty sure he was going to pay for the Zorua's misdeeds. Thus, Izaya fully intended to punish the little pokemon more dearly than he himself expected to be. Now he just had to find the little runt.
The thing was that he had seen the kid's face before. It was the face of a kid his sisters' age - Aoba Kuronuma. This couldn't be that kid, of course, but could it have been sent by him to torment Izaya? He knew all too well that the boy ran his own gang, got along well with his twin sisters, and hated Izaya's guts. But to be this blatant about it...?
No, this couldn't have been that sly boy's doing. Even young as he was, he was much more clever than to send a pokemon with his face his enemy's way. So where had this pokemon seen Aoba well enough to take on his appearance? Had he hung around his sisters? That meant his sisters' pokemon too, probably. Come to think of it...
He reached into his pocket to grab the couple of Repeat Balls that the blue Zorua had originally intended to steal. "Hey, fox-face," Orihara spoke while smiling irritably. He held up the minimized pokeballs. "Were these the girls you were after? It would make sense given how they mimic their original trainers so well. Bet you wanted to be the boy they could rely on, huh?" He laughed. "That would explain why you took on Aoba's form, but you would have been better off with Kasuka's."
Just as Izaya had figured, the Zorua hadn't ran all that far away. He had hidden near a chair and perked up his ears at the Rocket's words. His eyes narrowed. It was probably a trap, but what could he do? Those twins needed him. He snuck his way around the chair legs, hoping to catch Izaya unaware.
Unfortunately the informant must have noticed him beforehand despite all the distractions going on around him. Immediately the grunt snatched the blue Zorua up by his tail so that no matter how the pokemon squirmed, twisted, or wriggled, he couldn't do so much as bite Izaya's wrist let alone escape his grip. He glared hard at the red-eyed man.
"You got me into this mess," he told the fox. "And you're going to get me out. Otherwise I'll get Mairu and Kururi to gang up on you, and you wouldn't be able to bring yourself to fight them, would you?"
The Zorua's ears drooped. He frowned at a new pokeball Izaya had brought out with his free hand. Pressing the button, he opened it up to reveal the empty interior.
"Now, we can do this the easy way or the hard way," the cruel man told the Zorua. The blue pokemon made one last attempt to bite him, but then stopped fighting. At least maybe this was one way he could stay close to the twins and protect them from their horrible master.
(Yuri)
Tymiko caught her breath at the edge of the party, barely even recovered before she heard the commotion going on. What was happening? Oh, she shouldn't have left Yuri alone... Where was he?

Maiko got distracted from the new fire type when Delic started to run off towards the black and white pokemon. She looked from the Charmander, to Pinkie then back to Delic before giving a shrug and chasing after the Chingling out of curiosity. "Rak spinn ira!" She invited the two fire types to join in. After all this could be a new friend, one with fur to play with! er eyes got a glint and she sped up.
