It has been brought to my attention that some (GGN) guilds have been advertising their guild in the Guild forum.
Do not do this.
It's considered spam in the normal guild forum. Yes, this poses issues with how to recruit members. However, the guild forum is for guilds, not "omg come join my guild ". If you would like to advertise do so in your sig, have your members put in their sig, go advertise in the chatterbox, talk to friends who own successful threads. Just keep the spam out of the guild forum.
This is the second mod (or in this case former mod) whose commented on the subject sweatdrop for those of you who own GGN guilds (as in captians) youll know where this is from.

So.. it's against the rules to create your own thread in the normal forums for the sole purpose of testing and recruting new people?

The Gaia Guild Network runs compleatly independantly of the Guild Forum on Gaia, that is to say that advertising you GGN guild in the Guild forum is spam and will be treated as such.
5. No advertising! You are not allowed to advertise your GGN Guild, make threads asking for donations to buy a guild, ask questions that can be found in this thread or ask for certain types of guilds. This stuff is spam, and it clutters up the forum.

Mandatory additions to your guilds Mandatory changes and additions now required in this forum.

- Title - Aim of the Guild - Open to attack? - Story - Description - Defenses [If Applicable] - Rules - Member list - Alignment - Army/Organization
AMP is an exception, probably because it's been there as long as most people can remember.

Well then....we need a new strategy.... well seems like we all must place a link to this tread on our sig... that the only way I can think to spread the word.... as MOD restrict recruiment quite a lot....
In any case I will place a link to the GG Lobby on my sig...we need the insignia ready for this, anyone who want to help do the same, place the link on you Sig...we dont have any other way to do it...as most likely sending PMs to persons that may fit to what we are looking will surely be considered spam....stare
Oi...everyone's getting Sashes...anywho. I doubt we could get alot of pub. unless we go gung-hoe and go bar hopping like some other guilds and just hop people there like the idea and click on the sig.
Just one tidbit though, who is the leader for the GA since Tippman has also disappeared?

Most likely going directly to thread owners or the threads themselves and asking to recruit might be an option. (As I see it the rule is not to create a new thread for the purpose of recruiting, but it said nothing about recruiting within already established threads.)
The School of Dedicated Roleplayers is probably one source we can tap. Can anyone name others? Also, placing it in the sig is a good idea.

Im working on that ninja...uh ok this is edited but...what is supposed to go in the advertisement that explains what the GG is about...showcase several teams (ASDF, GPD, MSRF, etc.) into the drawing? Im brainstorming ideas o_o

ninja No...well I think it could be considered that...though I had in mind an advertisement for which I have no clue or ideas that have come to my head as of late. Im not the best CG colorist but I can try ("try" is the least to say). ninja
well if you want somebody to lend you a hand lin, you can send me the drar to me, Im quite good at CG coloring....altouhg we need an emblem for the GG to be on the banner....also we need the Emblems of each one of the current org.
