"Mutant snake?" Reaper asked, frowning. "You're kidding. I guess I can't say I'm surprised though. Find just about anything around here." he said, then glanced over at Kai. He looked at her bloody cuts and frowned further. "Is she going to be alright? I can take a look at her if you need."

C.J. looked at Reaper. "Yeah . . . to think. All I wanted to do this week was catch a baseball game." he said with a shrug as he looked at Kai. It was a harsh reminder that the gang needed rest.
"I think we'll be a'right for now. But Red Cardinal could use some rest." Dundee said as he got up. he seemed alright right now. Although they could use a bite to eat and some fresh clothes. They looked like they had been hittin' the road and the road happened to hit back hard.

Tim had entered at C.J.'s last comment. He took in quick observations from the group before he spoke.
"A couple of us are going out in civvies to scout around. I want to check a few places- I wasn't sure if anyone was up for something a little more under-the-radar."
It was basically Tim's way of inviting anyone who wanted to come along. He was planning on stopping by police headquarters to see which contacts for 'supers' were available... Tim also wanted to stop by some spots that were more "personal", but providing a less-heated assignment for others didn't hurt.

Arell got up. "I'll go wit' y'all. I gotta fill up at a gas station anyways." he said. He also had to get some clues to where Crystal went, and the best place to look was back at Crime Alley. At least to him.
Dundee looked at Tim. "Sorry, bud. I'm gonna have to make a pass. Next one, I'm in." he said as C.J. nodded.
"Actually, I wouldn't mind goin'. Sounds like a lotta fun!" he said as he got to his feet.

"I'll stick around here still." Reaper replied, moving over to Kai to get a better look at her injuries. "Been watching the house for months. Might as well stick around if everyone's going out again." he said.

Arell nodded. "Sounds 'bout fair, che'. Hey, Ceej!" he said to C.J., who looked at him.
"What's up, bro?" he asked as Arell smirked.
"Min' stickin' 'round an' keepin' dem two safe? I gotta run ovah t' Crime Alley an' check up on somethin'." Arell asked as he got his keys out.
"A'right. Hey, if you run into someone named 'Misty' or some sorts, let 'er know C.J. Benoit said hi." he said as Arell nodded. Of course, the big Cajun had no idea what that boy was talking about. One day, I'm gonna take a look over that fourth wall and see what he's talking about, but 'til then, he's NUTS. he thought as he put his duster coat on and prepared to hit the road.

"I got her, fellas." C.J. said as he picked up Kai. Putting her up in a fireman's carry. "Well, for all I know, we'd better make sure we're good to go, Dun'. Arell, any other things ya need us to do?" C.J. asked.
Arell scrawled out a note and handed it to C.J., who slid it into his pocket with his free hand. He looked at Tim with a nod, as if to say "alright, lead the way."

Reaper stepped back as C.J. picked up Kai and moved to carry her off. No one had answered him about if Kai needed more help or not. But...he wasn't going to press the matter. He didn't want them growing suspicious of him, and as long as the girl was unconcious, there was no reason for them to be.
And besides..........he didn't need physical contact to sustain himself.
Reaper smiled a bit, then went about the room to clean and pick up all of the blood soaked rags and such lying around.

((Boy, am I dumb as a bag of hammers . . .))
C.J. had just gotten Kai on his shoulders and looked at Reaper. "I think there's a safety kit out in Arell's Truck. Mind gettin' that for me?" he asked Reaper as he got ready to take her upstairs. First Rosie's foot, then THIS. Boy, I coulda been a medic! No wait, med school ain't worth it. he thought as he took her upstairs. For someone who is fully capable of busting the fourth wall, he was completely caught UNAWARE that Sapph, who he had a MAJOR crush on in another forum was right downstairs.
Well I'm aware of it now. Thanks, Sapph! Narrator, you're a dingus. PAY ATTENTION!! he thought as he rolled his eyes. Hey, what can I do to him? It's like the character has a mind of his o- right, he DOES have a mind of his own.
Anyways, he carried Kai up safe and sound to the bedrooms, finding a nice empty one to put Kai on the bed. Dundee came up after them to check if things were alright.
"Dun', keep her safe an' explain everything that happened, a'right? Doan' worry, I didn't take anything I shouldn't have, nor took advantage. Now how do I look?" C.J. asked as he stopped to comb his hair back.
"Like you stayed up all night for three weeks, got bit by a snake and then manhandled through a sewer." Dundee said rolling his eyes. C.J. gave him a funny look.
"Y'know, I liked you better when you were the peabrain . . . but it's great to have ya back, bro." C.J. said as he patted Dundee on the shoulder. After stopping out at the truck briefly to switch out for a hawaiian shirt and his trusty baseball cap and walked back inside, passing Arell.
"What's up, che'?" Arell asked, putting on his duster jacket.
"Gettin' ready to make good on another forum." C.J. replied, getting a confused look from Arell. He then looked over at Tim.
"Che', we goin' out t' patrol or what?" Arell asked Tim as he got things ready, restocking on a few shotgun shells.

Tim nodded in an 'okay' and headed back for the kitchen to update Abby. He peaked his head in the room.
"Looks like we've got a patrol party of three. I'll be right back."
With that, Tim took off up the stairs to gather a few things for the day. He had left most of his gear upstairs, probably because he didn't want to stay longer in the cave last night. He pulled on the black hoodie and packed in a bag his bo-staff, some decel cord and small explosives just in case. (he also had the red armor-tunic under his shirt for emergencies)
Tim ran back down the stairs of the manor and gave a quick thumbs up to show he was ready, before he pulled the hoodie over his ruffled black hair.

Arell put his hat on as he put the sawed-off shotgun back in its holster, followed by the two pistols and the Bowie knife. As Tim was getting his stuff ready to leave, he was already outside leaning on the side of the pickup truck sucking on a tooth pick. "C'mon, slim! We ain't got all day!" he said. One hand lazily twirling a gun.
Meanwhile . . . C.J. had double checked himself in a mirror and walked downstairs. Of course, he stopped a minute to ponder how someone like Arell was always so fast at getting ready to leave, but didn't quip on it. He smiled as he walked downstairs and started looking for Misty. However, he accidentally opened the hatch from Wayne Manor to the Batcave. Or one of 'em anyways. Shrugging . . . he walked through the door.

Reaper smiled a bit as he tossed the....now less bloody rags into the trash and headed out of the room to get what CJ had asked for.
Meanwhile, Sapphire Spider had entered the mansion from the Batcave. She cautiously looked around, then moved away from the enterance and began walking down the hallway. She felt a little stupid walking through this....very nice house in full costume. But...she didn't think taking her mask off was a good idea.

Surprised at what he had stumbled upon, he calmly shut the door to the batcave behind him. Boy . . . that must REALLY have something on the real estate value of the joint. he thought . . . then again, it could be worse. Like a REAL Bat Cave! However, he wasn't really focused on that right now. As he had come across a woman in a blue costume walking around. He smiled a bit and leaned against the wall.
"Yer 'mongst friends heah, whoever y'are." he said, flipping a coin. He'd be eating his words when he realized just who was behind the mask.
