Masato hoped the soothing rain would do something to temper his frustrations and his boredom. This was not the case. Instead, he just felt wet and mad. Why was there nothing fun to do? Out of frustration, he punched a tree. "I need something to fight damn it!" He shouted. There had to be someone who was bored enough to join him. Someone hopefully strong enough to entertain a fight.
Masato became agrivated with the lack of challanges. After several hours of stomping about, Masato would exit the area. Maybe he would start practicing with more weapons? Couldn't hurt. When he fought Susano'o he had issues with range. Perhaps that would assist?
Returning to the forested area he had been in earlier, he ventured deeper and deeper than he had originally. He seemed cautious as he pushed within the wooded swampy area until he came to an oasis type setting. A temple within the dense thicket. This temple's gates were clearly labeled as the halls of a Ninshuu practitioner. The temple itself was quite homely, not much bigger than a hall for meditation, and few side rooms. Its broken down appearance gave the impression it was long since forgotten, although it was evident someone had been working within its boundaries on repairs. " Yo, Gramps!" He called as he pushed open the damaged door. He paused as his figure shadowed the doorway. Within the halls was something he had not expected...no... something nobody should ever expect. There within the halls of the temple that had taken him in were several men dressed in a cloak and dagger type attire. The group of men gathered around Masato at the entrance. Masato's arms dropped to his side. Normally, so many foe would be nothing short of a blessing. However...the man who had shown him kindness and allowed him to stay within the temple was no where to be seen among the thugs.
From the crowd of men, a voice boomed with a thunderous echo." Sorry kid, the old man isn't able to answer...." The men seemed to instinctively clear a path for the location of the voice. From the back of their formation, a much larger, bulkier man who would appear to be their leader stood. Chills ran down the young man's spine as the elder's body could be seen lying behind the feet of the leader. Masato's eyes widened. He couldn't believe what they had done to the defenseless man. His figure was contorted and bloodied. Barely clinging to life. Tears began to swell at Masato's eyes. They burned. The tears welling at his eyes burned like an inferno. There was such a surplus of pain and overwhelming emotion occuring at once he was unable to comprehend.
Masato's body moved without his say-so. His sense of right and wrong was erased along with the concern of his own safety. As though he had teleported there, Masato appeared in the center of the mob, one of his feet planted on the face of a foe. As though the remainder of the men had not processed what Masato had just done they looked on in realization of their mistake. Slowly, the bodies of the two men who had had their faces crushed by the implantation of a barefoot on their face hit the ground. The impact acted as the bell in a match, signaling the remainder of the foe to move in on Masato. As the first two approached from his right and left, blades poised above their heads and raining down at him, he would step towards the closest one, bringing both his fists together as though he expected them to meet together just before his chest. Just as planned, the fists met four inches from the tip of the blade, shattering the point of impact down to the base of the blade. The four inches that remained would be instinctively grabbed and thrown at the man who approached from behind. The blade shard found its mark on the man's forearm as he tried to block by crossing left over right. Unfortunately for the man, Masato's next move would be to take the flat of his palm and force that shard through both arms, pinning them together upon his chest. The last thing the man would see before fainting would be neon red eyes with a single mark in them aside the pupil. [ Sharingan: 1st Tomoe Unlocked ]
Realizing the fervor and tenacity of Masato, the remaining group of twenty some men rushed in, save the leader. Masato's anger raged within his soul as the pain equally burned. He had no reguard for the living and little for the surroundings as his fist impacted the earth at full strength. "Orrrrahhhhh!" he roared, sounding as a feral lion had taken over him. The strike upon the earth would channel his fire nature, being his prized fire mountain orchid technique. The earth began to swell beneath him and break apart in large chunks as flames erupted from the earth beneath himself and the mob. The strength of so many explosions caused the area to become obliterated, leaving nothing more than the building of the temple and the area directly around the old man and the leader that he would soon be addressing. The bodies of all the thieves would be sent flying with the earthen chunks as Masato hovered in the center of the masses flying about. Each chunk of earth that would come near him would be deflected with a powerful punch or kick, directly impacting the foes still remaining with large rocks, effectively crushing them into a near death state or causing them to flee in terror.
From a distance, it would look like a small meteor shower as the flaming rocks continued to fall from the sky that Masato had created. Masato wasn't cognoscenti of what others saw or thought at this point, he was simply releasing an aura of rage and destruction at this low moment. He slowly walked forward from the crater that he had created. His crimson eyes locked onto the figure of the man before him. The man seemed to ready himself. Masato could almost see what he was preparing to do. It was strange, like a precognition. As the leader moved his arm to reach for a giant sword on his back, Masato would burst into an emerald aura. With an unsightly movement, he would appear just before the man much sooner than the time it would take him to draw. Masato was ready, he would kill the man. Just as he had resolved himself, his elder monk would murmur. "No....more..." Masato hear the words clearly, even though they were barely audible. In a last minute altercation to his plan, Masato would assume his stance of the Lily of the Valley. Side swiping the blade as it came towards him with a single hand, the blade would be cleanly snapped, cutting through it like a knife through hot butter. In a fluid, rapid motion Masato would release up to his fifth gate for a single moment. As his skin matched his blood red eyes, he brought his palms together by means of a long reached clap. The sheer force of bringing both his hands together with such strength created a shock-wave that would send the man flying beyond the boundaries of the area. At the same time, the flames Masato had created were instantly extinguished from the sudden gust of wind they created.
Accepting the battle was over, Masato's form returned to its base. As he resumed his natural figure, he panted somewhat. Not that the activity was strenuous to him, just that he was unable to fight without consciously controlling his breathing. A sign of an amateur fighter. While Masato was fiercely powerful, his technique was still something to be desired. His crimson eyes shifted to the shattered glass laying beside his care taker, just before they reverted to black, Masato took note of the eye color change. ' Red...' he wondered as he snapped back to the attention of the elder man. He dropped to his knees aside the man. " Gramps....are you okay!?" He shouted. The elderly man smiled softly, lifting his open palm to Masato's forehead and pressing two fingers to it. " You did well, Masa-kun. You've become strong and can even break the path of rage you walk..."
Masato's eyes welled with tears for an instant for one last time. He shook his head, looking about. The danger was gone, but now the man needed medical assistance. "C'mon Pops, we're taking you to the hospital!" he said as he scooped the man up and began a full speed dash towards the village's medical facility.

__Was he the first to arrive? Hikaru found himself around the monuments of the Kazekages. He read up on some interesting facts as he waited for the others to come. He hoped that the information he got was legitimate and thus wasn't led on a wild goose chase.

__ Tetsuhiko entered the stage shortly behind Hikaru and came to a stop next to him. His demeanor was still rather serious, but a lot less depressed than before. His missions served as great distractions. Helping others felt very rewarding to him kind of like how he feels after completing a big art project. It was a gratifying sensation to say the least. A wave of inspiration then came to him as he brightened up for a moment. "What if I could help other artists, young artists." He then pondered for a moment. "The academy has a kugutsu class, maybe I could ask to teach it? Maybe I could start some art or theater classes and teach them?" Helping others was a very satisfying idea to him and the notion that he could help Sunagakure approach the Shinobi Renaissance through the new generations was incredible.

__ Fwooshwooshwoosh swoooooosh!!! Zhi and her clones speedily zipped over to the rainforest where the scorpions were supposed to be coming from. The rest of her team had already gathered so that meant they managed to find similar leads. Zhi commented upon arrival, "Coincidence?" The clones chimed in to exclaim in chorus, "I THINK NOT!!" The lot of them look around, but weren't really sure what to look for except maybe more scorpions. They'd focus their individually similar sensory abilities to detect anyone who seemed suspicious in the area.

"Looks like we're all here," Bast commented as she strolled up to the rest of the group. "There are two possibilities I can think of here: either this is a trap or we all got legitimate information. Prepare for the former. Normally we'd do an evacuation first, but given the location and the low likelihood of civilian interference, we'll forgo it for the sake of time. Zhi, do you sense anything ahead? Something that could be a nest?"

__ They were a little late to notice with their attention spread so thinly, but all seven of Zhi did detect something of interest in the area. "Hey hey hey! Over there we say!" Oh shoot, apparently Zhi picked up a rhyming bug. The real Zhi said, "Follow me! We can all go and see!!" Zhi and her clones fanned out to surround the pair of "dudes" wearing NEON PANTS. The pair of loiterers were suspiciously nearby a heard of scorpions that were making their way underground into a small hole. Zhi and her clones stayed back, hiding themselves in the dense rain forest greenery both in the trees and on the ground. They were extra careful to avoid making more noise than the environment's ambience, as well as to not disturb their hiding places much at all to give away their positions. She wanted to just jump out and confront them, but her training dictated that more reserved action might be necessary. The rest of her team could arrive shortly and they'd go from there.

__ He rejoined with the group and listened to Lady Bastet and Zhi. When Zhi yelled to follow her Tetsuhiko promptly fell in line behind her. As he did so he spread his tiny particles of iron sand throughout the area of his large magnetic field. "I wonder what she found." He thought as he followed her. When Tetsuhiko came to a stop he took in the sight of the goons. He watched them carefully in a hidden position next to Zhi as they awaited additional instructions.
__Hikaru listened to instruction and then followed Zhi's lead. Since she was a sensor it made sense for her to go first. He hid behind a tree a little distance away from Zhi and her many clones, which also distanced him away from Tetsuhiko. His eye caught however the tiny shimmers of the iron sand particles making their way into the area. If Hikaru wasn't so aware of his teammate he was sure that he would have missed such a minor thing since the technique was so subtle. What was not subtle, however, were the bright neon pants of the two goons. Did the super villain store have a discount on tacky clothing? It disgusted him.

Bast followed the rhyming girl, wondering what would unfurl, when before their very eyes, came such a neon surprise. A pair of unwholesome louts, with awful colors to flout, treating forest like a manse, displaying their awful pants.
"Take them out quickly," she murmured slickly, "but pull your punches."
She had her hunches. Men so badly dressed were few; fewer still enjoyed the yew. These men were in the know, but wouldn't spill for their foe. They knew the scorpions were here, so they'd kick these morpions' rears!
The woman so refined, the rhymes to her head confined, for she knew them poorly versed; they were undoubtedly the worst.

__ Oh yes! It was time for Zhi to play the role of her team's vanguard. Apprehend these baddies quickly but without hurting them too badly? PIECE OF JELLO! Cake... yeah, no it was definitely supposed to be cake. Who cared? Deserts were sweetly lovely all the same! They chanted softly while starting to prepare their jutsu, "Hado yon..." Zhi and her clones finished weaving the same hand seals from each of their scattered positions surrounding their targets. Their hands were suddenly jetted out with a huge surge of electrical chakra running from their elbows down to the palms. Five meter diameter beams of chakra came flying out from seven different directions at the two Team Neon grunts as Zhi and her clones came sprinting out from hiding. "BYAKURAI!!" Even if the suspicious sirs evaded, Zhi and her clones could not only sense but predict their movements in seven different ways at once with this Lightning Beam technique which they could keep going for as long as they felt the need to. If any of the raiton attacks landed on either mark they'd be stunned by a writhing amount of electrical pain. Heck, narrowly evading any of these attacks would still likely result in some kind of damage thanks to the excessive voltage permeating from each lightning beam. Oh yes, Zhi missed this jutsu very much.

__ As the seven Zhis completed their seven lightning bolt assault Tetsuhiko immediately made a move to aid them. The numerous iron flakes in the air instantly materialized as iron sand tendrils that would wrap around the legs of both of the goons from beneath them. He applied a D-Rank amount of chakra to the iron dust in order to strengthen it and speed it up considerably. Tetsuhiko waved his arms and clenched his fists theatrically in order to perform this action. With the lightning bolts and the iron sand tendrils working in tandem it was likely that they would be knocked out if the attacks were to make contact. He was curious as to how Hikaru would contribute with his paper. While the explosive pages were useless as an art form they were still rather effective in combat.
__Hikaru allowed his teammates to take the front and center role. They were excellent in being noticeable. This time the young boy didn't want to use his paper. He felt like he wasn't connecting enough with his medical routes. So he felt it was time to go back to some basics.
He slid from tree to tree, getting closer to the fray. He watched as one of the fashionless foes tried to make a break for it. Perfect, he had his target. HIkaru moved to a tree where he could glance from the side the approaching enemy. He lowered himself to the ground as he channeled medical chakra into his hands. Then, when the man walked past him, Hikaru grabbed the man by the ankle and shocked him with enough force to pass him out.Since it was a medical maneuver, however, it was designed to ensure the body was still functional. Bastet did mention to pull their punches.

"Well, we know they weren't sensors, at least," Bast commented dryly as she watched the two guards get zapped, bound, and afflicted with medical shenanigans until they were pretty well taken care of. One was passed out by Hikaru and the other was twitching on the ground with a contorted expression. "Good work, team. Time to deal with these scorpions."
A thick bed of scorpions formed a trail leading to a hole in the ground large enough for a person to pass through if they weren't bothered by the excessive numbers of the animals. Some of the scorpions scattered when Zhi's lightning blasts went off, but after a couple of seconds their migration resumed.
"Alright, we need to go in there. Just give me a second to clear the path."
So saying, she pulled out a couple of small bells, tied them to senbons and a spool of wire, then tossed them into the hole. A few moments later, scorpions would be falling off the walls and lying on the ground motionless. Bast made sure her pant legs were tied shut before heading in, then walked the length of the path to a large steel door with a seal on it, ringing bells all the way to make sure the scorpions were appropriately stunned. At the end of the path was a stone doorway with a moderately strong Chakra barrier affixed to it, so after analyzing the seal for a bit she placed a Tebanasu Fuuin on it and headed back to the surface.
